This was my first time to Lexington and somehow we ended up in a fabulous area. This hotel is in a safe and quiet area, complete with a walking trail and plenty of green space. We booked a corner sofa suite and it was awesome. The beds are soft and everything was very clean with new carpet all through the hotel and rooms. The neighborhood is stocked with stores, restaurants and anything you could possibly need. They even had at least 6 Tesla chargers. There was only one problem and that was the AC. In our living room, the ac would not go below 72, regardless of the actual reading. In the bedroom it would get cold but would not hold a consistent temperature. You could wake up and there would be a 3-4 degree discrepancy from the actual setting. However, I would definitely come back to this quite and clean gem. read more

Great hotel, extremely clean, quiet, safenice & new. Five stars for these reasons. This hotel is close to 75 (awesome), but it's also close to some very good restaurants and shopping. Usually these things don't go together! It's feels very safe. It also has multiple (secure) access points, it's easy/quick to move between your room and your vehicle. There are plenty of areas to walk around, which might be useful for folks with pets. More detail on the rooms... each had a clean kitchenette with an actual refrigerator/freezer. Beds and linens were new and comfortable. Plenty of local information, regarding things to do & places to dine at, or order delivery. Overall, it's a well maintained hotel. Breakfast was the typical free hot & cold selections, which is fine. I think everyone knows what to expect. There was a giant family reunion (or something) going on this morning, and we had a hard time navigating the breakfast room for food and seats. I am assuming this is not the norm. If you see a ton of people camping out like we did, I would advise that you keep moving and grab something at a diner. It's not worth the struggle! But again, the hotel cleanliness, age, and room quality are what is important to me, and it was SPOT ON. I had to take a star away because we booked adjoining rooms in advance, and they were not available. It's more of a Marriott corporate (call center) issue, but I need to point it out. Update: July 6, 2020 Very happy again with this hotel. As a family of four we were very comfortable in the two bedroom suite. I believe it was about $160 a night (this can always change depending on the date and the capacity). Overall, it's a reasonable price. Pros - Staff is very friendly and responsive. The hotel is very quiet, we did not hear a peep from the hallway or other rooms. While there are a bunch of restaurants and shopping nearby (1 minute drive) there are also sidewalks and green space if you feel like walking. It doesn't feel like it's as close to the freeways, but it is (very convenient). Cons - N/A Covid situation- they do not have their traditional complimentary breakfast, however they had grab and go bags with breakfast sandwiches and granola bars to take back to your room and heat up. This is probably one of my best visits to a Marriott. We're not any means VIP status just your average everyday plain Jane . Me and my son were visiting family members and decided to stay at this town suite . Don't let the outdated online photos fool you , this hotel is completely renovated . Go look on. The Marriott app or website . That's how it actually looks like. Everyone and I mean every single employee we countered was so kind and friendly i just never experienced that type of welcoming hospitality before , even at fancy places like four seasons they're like grumpy and unhappy with their job . My son was greeted by every single person , and now we know all their names haha. Thank you esp to Staci , who kindly gave my son some fruit loops even though we showed up a little late to the breakfast after it was done . And even the GM walked passed by and said hello , the front desk girl even helped us with our laundry , she saw that my son was being a toddler and running around and didn't want to go pick up our clothes . She so kindly packed our laundry in a bag and handed to us . I'm forever grateful to experience this type of kind human gestures as the world now days everyone is not so nice . Thank you Marriott ! Stayed here for family event nearby for two nights. Staff was friendly at check in and were able to accommodate request of having accessible bathroom for my Dad on the first floor. Room was clean and the location of the TownPlace Suites is convenient to a variety of locations in the Lexington area. The Breakfast area on Sunday morning was packed and had to wait for scrambled eggs, when they did come out were terrible. The next day the eggs were better, medallion size. The only item with our room was the heating/cooling, throughout the stay the temperature went from freezing cold to an oven. We did follow the directions on the card in the room the first night it was 64 in the middle of the night and then went up to 74 by the morning. read more

We had a double queen room which was spacious with some great amenities; fridge, stove top, dishes, wifi, desk, large bathroom. Hotel staff were kind and helpful. Pool was small but nice to float. Outdoor spaces looked nice - grills and outdoor furniture. The breakfast was described as 'grab & go' due to Covid. I wish they'd go back to a regular breakfast. The grab & go was a granola bar, a warm yogurt, & a muffin. There was dry cereal but no milk for it. Masks aren't required, all amenities are available but no real breakfast due to covid. If you like sleeping on a URINE RIDDLED MATTRESS- stay here! I would not recommend this disgusting hotel for even a dog to sleep in. After a 15 and a half hour drive from Texas to Lexington- we arrived at this hotel Thursday night for what should have been a 4 night stay. Upon checking in I began doing my usual hotel room check and disinfecting. I bring my own bottle of Lysol and Clorox wipes to wipe down surfaces. As I wipe down things in the bathroom the door is noticeably dirty. Dried dirty water stains. I wiped the door down and you could tell a difference just from one swipe of the wipe. I sprayed one bed and checked the sheets for hair/stains. One bed past the check. Second bed as I'm spraying and lifting pillows, I noticed the bed spread and sheets has hair and dried blood stains on them. Gross!!! If this wasn't enough, I decided to just pull the sheets and planned to ask for more. As I pull all the sheets including the so called mattress cover off the bed I find the mattress riddle in URINE!! Stain after stain after stain, it covered the entire mattress!! I go up front and mention this to the receptionist who I later found was/is the manager. She apologizes and says let me get you another room. She offers two King size beds- I decline and say the one is fine. After all it's a family vacation for our family of 4. SHE OFFERS to go check the room and make sure the room is cleaned well and after returning she even goes as far as to say "I even checked the pull out sofa. Everything is good!" My family sleeps in this room and in this bed for 2 NIGHTS!!! Trusting that the manager did just what she said she did and wouldn't put us in another disgusting room. Fast forward to last night, supposing to be the 3rd night of our stay- my 2 year old is drinking water in the bed. He drops his water bottle saturating the sheets. I start pulling the sheets preparing to call and ask for more. As I get to the mattress cover what do I find, another URINE SOAKED MATTRESS! At this point I'm furious, because not only did she put us in another disgusting room but she LIED about it being a good room. I didn't ask her to check the room, she offered and because of that I trusted her. I take responsibility for not checking behind her, but thought she could be trusted especially after she stated that the housekeeping staff should have reported that the mattress was this way in room 104! After calling the front desk, I was told there is nothing that they can do as they have no available rooms! I could careless about another room because at this point I am almost certain that every bed in the hotel looks like this and I wouldn't dare sleep. The receptionist Camden also let's me know that housekeeping only goes in to make sure the room has clean linens!!! What? So they don't remove the mattress cover!? And replace it with a new one!! And even if they are just placing clean sheets certainly they notice that the linen smells of urine and would think to check the mattress for urine stains. My family and I check out of the hotel and started our 15 and half hour drive back to Texas because the 4 other hotels we checked were booked or the reviews we're horrible. read more

I love staying here ! I have stayed at one other hotel in the past year and half with all my stays in Lexington. This is my favorite.

I've stayed all over the country in all types of hotels, including five star establishments in and around major metropolitan areas, and this is easily one of the nicest hotel experiences I've ever had. - Clean. Very clean. - New - Modern - Spacious (HUGE shower and bed, big room, etc.) - Lots of parking - Good location - Very quiet. This is important to some, especially someone who has issues sleeping in hotel rooms like myself. - Friendly staff. Always smiling and helpful. - Good amenities. - Great A/C The only negative I have to point out is the free breakfast. I'm not saying it was bad. It just wasn't up to par with what I expected. The girl managing it did a wonderful job of greeting guests, keeping things clean and replenishing food, but the options themselves weren't the best. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know with plans to pass through Lexington. read more

The room is very nice - incredibly spacious, with a kitchenette (fully-stocked), living room/office, and separate bedroom. This place is so clean that you would think it opened today. But the biggest selling point is the staff - especially the overnight and early morning staff - is literally the friendliest I've ever encountered over thousands of hotels. They are so nice to literally every guest...talkative and friendly while still keeping everything running perfectly. I hope the management knows how lucky they are for their overnight staff...they are one in a million! read more

The manager's here are phenomenal (Joshua and Craig). Joshua was very helpful each and every visit when I stay here while visiting my son in college attending University of Kentucky. Joshua was understanding when checking in my son and he took care of all his needs. Employees are always ready to listen to concerns. The room is spotless, the sheets are fresh, and the bathroom is just like new. Everyone is friendly and the complimentary breakfast is well worth the stay. You do have to get up early to eat, but breakfast should be served at such a time anyway. Overall, perfect! read more

Nice, clean pet friendly hotel near a ton of restaurants and a few places to shop - target, bookstores, shoes etc. located at exit 108 Man O War Blvd. We had a 2 BR suite, both with kings. But there is only 1 bathroom and no separate vanity, so hard for 4 people to get ready. Full kitchen amenities and nice big kitchen table, plus multiple seats in a good sized "family room" like area. Coffee and limited tea selection in lobby (no caffeine free). Very comfy mattress and bedding. Breakfast service was a mess - ended at 9:30 but out of nearly everything at 9 am. Sounded like someone didn't show up for work. Beautiful outdoor pergola and firepit area but it was too cold to enjoy on our visit. read more

We stayed here for a couple of days and I must say it was really pleasant. Staff was really friendly. Room was really nice and comfortable - especially the bed. Room also had a nice kitchenette - with full size refrigerator, dishwasher, hot top and sink, as well as, dishes and utensils. The hotel has a nice salt water pool and a nice gym. They also provide a really nice breakfast - basic - but mice. I think this place is a real gem and you will be pleasantly surprised if you decide to stay here. Highly recommend it! read more

The general manager at this place is a real jerk. Booked two rooms in January flying in from Chicago to Louisville and my plane was cancelled because of weather. I am a Platinum member and members services gave me a cancellation number the this jerk reused to honor. Also is also a independently owned hotel so I guess the Marriott standard doesn't apply. read more
