We checked in online the day before for 3PM checkin. Arrived 3:15 and room not ready. Waited about an hour and watched 3 other people arrive and get checked in immediately. Very frustrating. The location and facilities are nice, but the organization and guest interaction is terrible. read more

First of all we are here during to is loosing heat in our rv. This place is almost 1 of the worst hotels I have been in. We have had to listen to kids above us run, rump above us. We have had no hot water in certain times of the day we are here. The cook top they gave us to cook with sucks. Had to wash the ice buvket to make a salad. Coffee are was not stocked. Coffee maker is dangerous due to the hot water steam at the end. Can only use 1 side at a time with 1 pan. Nothing to use to cook with,ie bowls for microwave. Dirty dishes in dishwasher when we first got the room. To be a Hilton hotel it sucks. read more

First off, I have to say that this is the first time that I've been displeased with Hilton's service. The hotel was beautiful and new. The surrounding area was safe and convenient. The rooms were modern and functional, especially for being a pet friendly hotel. However when it comes to cleanliness, especially in these times of COVID and extensive sanitization, the room was anything but that. Arriving after 12 am, we just wanted to crash and enjoy a good rest. However, we couldn't because I soon noticed that my dog would not stop sniffing a certain area next to the bed. After investing the area, I found what appeared to be either dried fecal matter or used "dip." Needless to say, it was disgusting and hardly sanitary. Soon after our stay I contacted the Hilton organization via a review to express our concern with their inability to properly sanitize their rooms. We were met with a "thank you" and a "hope your next stay is better." I'm not looking for groveling but a hotel that prides itself on sanitization, protecting its patrons from COVID, and that cost $174 for one night, I expect a little more than a half-hearted apology. The absence of detail in their cleaning procedures, to me, displays a larger issue than just one room being dirty. I am naturally very gracious with reviews but in this case I feel as though I need to be very transparent about my experience. read more

I really liked this hotel, it could've been quieter but the bed was very comfortable, the room had a lot of space. The maid left all the dishes in the dishwasher so I thought Hilton was cutting back on allowing dishes, there wasn't even a silverware tray so I am not sure where they actually belong in the room. The breakfast was the best I've seen since covid, wrapped bagels with condiments, cereal in covered bowls with milk and hard boiled eggs! read more

Not even sure where to start. I am a Hilton Diamond member so I have seen plenty of Hilton properties. The shower pan was disgusting. The calk around the toilet was very gross. The worst part was the smoke alarm starting chirping the first night at 4AM. I had to ask twice to get the battery changed. The second night the smoke alarm went off at 2 AM. I was done. I checked out a day early and they wanted to charge me a 50 dollar early check out fee. read more

Just an update and I had to drop a star. I absolutely love the modern chain from Hilton but the Gillette Home2 needs a little tweaking. Our Bathroom door would not close (room 502 BTW) . This appeared to be a long standing issue as the door had marks on it from other guests. I do not believe I was the first person to report this. Having an open bathroom door which the Hulk cannot close does not keep a family happy if you know what I mean;-) The Bathroom floor in the corners and under the sink was really showing age, cracks and corrosion. Note: Its amazing what you notice when sitting on the toilet:-) The Lounge area cushions sitting area really need a good steam cleaning as they were stained and yucky looking. Sorry to sound picky: The staff, room and exercise facility are still excellent. I just want to see my favorite hotel keep up their high standards and I believe in constructive criticism. read more

I am beyond impressed at the service of this hotel. We arrived early and had an event to attend, although the room wasn't ready we were able to get ready in the lobby restroom and they were super accommodating. Their rooms were very clean and presentable. The breakfast provided was grab and go but they had hot items you could heat up (muffins, biscuits, egg bowls), they have an array of breakfast bread (bagels, muffins, etc) you can also make a waffle, eat cereal, have some oatmeal and they have a selection of fresh and dried toppings. Coffee and juices also available. They kept the area clean and tidy the entire time (especially because people forget they're not at home). I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the area. read more

Nice clean hotel but linen on beds are not my style it felt like a mattress pad instead of a comforter and the bathroom made a terrible noise from the vent above the toilet that could never be turned off.. nobody was around to answer questions front desk lady very nice but when I come back next week on business staying at another chain even though we are diamond member. read more

My expectations for Gillette were based on my experience here ten years ago and I'm elated to report that things have improved dramatically. I'm staying at this hotel long-term, while I'm working in the area. I really have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The location is great- close to the interstate, restaurants and grocery stores, but far enough from the road that traffic noise is minimal. I am staying in a one bedroom suite- it is very spacious- composed of a separate bedroom, bathroom, and open work/TV/sofa/dining/kitchen area. There are two closets- plenty of room for my suitcases and most importantly, my shoes. The bathroom is roomy with drawers and shelves for my hair appliances. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink and dishwasher. There are plenty of outlets including USB ports. The bed.... it is SO comfortable. I live in hotels and this is by far the best bed I've experienced in years. It feels like a cloud, the sheets and comforter/duvet are so incredibly soft and the bed itself is amazing. I haven't used the pool, I probably won't. The gym is small, but nice. I was happy to see a Precor elliptical. The laundry facilities are inside the gym, which will encourage me to work out while I do laundry. There are grills, a firepit, and outdoor seating. Everyone at this hotel has been incredibly nice. The sales manager went out of her way to get me a great long-term rate- I seriously cannot believe how inexpensive hotels are in Gillette. The energy bust has clearly affected occupancy rates and the rate is evidence of that. I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers- it is clearly designed to cater to people like me, not to families or large groups of partiers. read more

If there was a way to give 2.5, I would. This hotel is adequate... it gets the job done. It is clean. The beds are decent and the showers are nice enough. Here is where is falls short: 2 major networks were not available on the TV (CBS and ABC as I recall) and Breakfast is just bad. The options they have are weird... buckwheat waffles? Fine, but give me the normal option too. Normally I can make due with whatever cereal options they have, but these weren't even good: Raisin Bran - Raisins belong in only one thing... a box of raisins. Plain Cheerios... BLAND! And Lastly Fruit Loops... this is the least offensive as long as you like SUPER Sugary Cereals. Lastly, the location and setup of the exercise room was uninviting. Surrounded in glass at the front where everyone coming and going sees you working out is not my idea of a conducive environment for working up a good sweat. Gillette, Wyoming is smaller than a lot of places I travel, so I understand that options may be limited. If you don't watch network TV and aren't opposed to picking up breakfast elsewhere, this could be a good option for you. read more

This hotel has definitely made the list of places I will never stay at again. None of the issues I have are covid related. This hotel is poorly constructed, it is obvious there was absolutely zero sound proofing done. We are staying here with our two young children and have had several noise complaints about our room bc you can hear every little thing. The breakfast is not good, they were out of cereal: literally the cheapest, easiest item to serve. The pool is absolutely freezing and the towels are equivalent to a large scratchy dish towel. We tried to change our reservation but since we prepaid for all 4 nights we are stuck here, the GM won't budge. This is absolutely not a family friendly hotel. The light in our bathroom doesn't work, my husband stayed in this exact room for work 2 months ago (just a quick overnight so he didn't know about the pool situation) and it was broken then. Do yourself a favor and do not book here. The Towne place suites is a much nicer option on all levels. read more

Home2 Suites is the best hotel in Gillette,WY. There is not a lot of choice in Gillette but Home2 does have competition and it consistently beats them. First off to be clear while I rated it 5 stars. It is not, nor is meant to be. a true 5 diamond hotel. It is however a new, clean and well run hotel. The rooms are large enough to have a living room. It has a true kitchenette complete with pots, pans, microwave sink and refrigerator/freezer. The beds are very comfortable and has blackout curtains that actually block the light. The bathroom does not have a tub but the shower is very large as a result. There are washer and dryers as well as a work room and indoor pool. The complimentary breakfast is good with a wide variety of items. The staff are interested in making your stay pleasant. They well managed and very well trained. Probably the nicest hotel in Gillette. It is brand new! The staff could be a little more hospitable but I liked the room so that made up for it. It's near everything so you won't have a hard time finding dinner. You'll need to drive if you don't want what's right next door nor A&W. read more

Clean, spacious, kitchenette in room, curtain divider between bed and sleep sofa. Overall we had a great experience. My only issue (and it is minor) is their make your own waffle station had buckwheat waffle mix. My kids found it too tangy and after spending time making the waffle, anointing the waffle, and cutting the waffle, wouldn't eat it and had to start all over with another breakfast option.
