Bathroom was sufficient and very long. There was a cute desk space that you can put partition for privacy. In the morning, the complimentary hot breakfast was delicious and the waffles were great. I especially recommend the cheddar biscuits as they were savory and soft. I liked how there was a separation of the hot water from the coffee urns. No coffee taste in my tea! There is additional bathrooms on the first floor near the dining area for public use.

Water bowls near the elevators, Milk Bone biscuits at the front desk, and in the rooms, next to the Do Not Disturb door tag is one alerting staff that there is a furry friend at play. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very welcoming and professional. We appreciate that they minimized carpeting in the guest rooms, but we noticed the absence of recycling cans. Great bedding and shower head. We didn't use the fitness center but it looked great! Lots of cardio equipment including a Peloton and a wide selection of dumbbells. There are lots of things we appreciate: clean, fresh-smelling rooms, good AC, good blackout curtains, and good water pressure in the shower. But there's more: a very friendly front desk staff who prepare chocolate chip cookies every afternoon, a free hot breakfast, pleasant-enough pool (heated just barely by our standards) and a good fitness room. There are a few things that didn't quite match up for us: the hot breakfast is a bit hit-or-miss depending on your preferences; there are very few places to eat close by; and a trip to Kennebunkport can take 15 minutes with moderate traffic. Bottom line: we like Hampton Inns, and this seems a good one, the positives definitely outweighing the negatives, and it's fairly priced for this area during the summer months.

The breakfast was really nice - eggs, sausage and waffles along with English muffins bagels and toast. We didn't try the outdoor pool but it was clean and other guests were in the area. Of special note is that this hotel has a shuttle bus that runs from 5:00-10:30 Friday and Saturday evenings. It dropped us off in downtown Portsmouth where parking doesn't exist. We meandered around, ate dinner and called for a pick up. That was great. Some websites say the walking rating for the hotel isn't great but we found three micro breweries within 1/2 mile of the hotel and hit them all. I would definitely stay here again.
