In addition, she sent passive aggressive emails and we had to do the best we could to bite our tongues. In the words of Maya Angelou - "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I will never forget how JoAnne made me feel. It was not as pleasant of an experience as I had hoped it would have been but there is a silver lining in all of this...my roommates and I got almost our entire security deposit back. One of the most impressive moments was when we randomly came to the build and found Reed in the tree well digging out dirt with a pick axe and shovel so we could meet the tree inspection deadline. The builder was dragging his feet and Reed decided he could get it done. It was August and miserable and he was moving bucketloads of dirt out so we could close. With my busy work schedule and the stress of third-trimester pregnancy, the last thing I wanted to do was sit and view MLS postings all day.
