Pretty standard Homegoods in an otherwise unremarkable strip mall. I've come here several times to purchase rugs and pillows, and their selection is okay. Have to dig to find the gems, but that's most Homegoods stores. There is also a nice selection of lamps and kitchen items. Any promising looking furniture tends to move pretty fast here, leaving a selection of slightly damaged but discounted furniture. Some of it is very flimsy, though. I assume it's because the good stuff has mostly been picked over. I mostly end up coming here to look at the rugs, and to do a quick browse. If you happen to me in the neighborhood it's worth checking out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit the store. read more

This HomeGoods is located in the Baileys Crossroads shopping complex off of 7. They offer an okay selection on furniture, rugs, lighting fixtures, mirrors, bedding, bath products, dining options, kitchen essentials, and pet accessories/snacks, and the staff here really try to keep the items as organized as possible. I was able to find some Cloud Star snacks for my pup at great prices, as well as some awesome novelty sprinkles from the clearance section for cupcake decorating. I can't enter this store without my "sponsor." I want everything I see. The inventory looks like Martha Stewart took over the Container Store. There are wonderful home furnishings, linens, upscale cooking items and unique pet accessories and more. There are great clearance items. Why would I sign up for a credit card for a $10 item when I prefer a quick in-and-out experience? Regardless of promotions, he shouldn't annoy customers or yell at employees. As I hit my nesting peak Homegoods has officially become my favorite store in the entire world (even more so than Buttercream Bakeshop and Sephora which is pretty wild). The Bailey Crossroad location is centrally located to me and boasts a huge parking lot and an even bigger selection of anything home related inside. This is my one stop shop for baking pans, stationary, decor, pillowcases and sheets, storage items and much, much more. I used to sniff over their gourmet food aisle because it seemed like an unsafe practice to purchase second-shelf life edibles but after reading an article in Bon Appetit about how specialty food companies create items just for stores like TJ Maxx, I could not help but check it out. And what a treasure trove of items that I found! Canadian maple syrup, organic teas in exotic flavors, cookies and chocolates of all kind! I definitely made out like a bandit with lots of sweets to keep this 9.75 month preggo happy for a while. Sometimes the aisles are chaotic and the lines long, but it's all a part of the fun! read more

This place is HUGEEEEEEEEEEE. I have to really prepare myself to go into this store because I know once I step foot into it, I'll never want to leave. My boyfriend hates coming here with me because he knows I can spend hours in here and I get distracted by every shiny object...and there's so many of them here! This is a really great store - huge selection on home goods (hence the name) with a large variety of items for any room in your house. I am really attracted to the designs and types of things they carry here. In the kitchen area, lots of ceramic dishes and quality pots. A large aisle for little kitchen accessories too. They always have quality pieces of furniture for sale in the middle of the store....you can go through their giant carpet wall or check yourself out in their many aisles of mirrors and wall decor. The pricing here is really reasonable. I've often compared prices (at Bed Bath & Beyond, Amazon, etc.) and Home Goods always win out. I will say I believe it's a little pricier than Marshalls and TJ Maxx though. I've found the same things at the other 2 stores for slightly cheaper prices (Only $1 or $2 difference). I feel it is only fair to give credit where credit is due. Hence the update of my previous review which portrayed this location as mediocre or fair at best. Perhaps they took some of the more negative reviews into consideration because they have seriously upped their game. Especially if you are into pillows! The only negative is their Christmas ornaments were pricier than brand names like Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel or West Elm, but that was during the time the brand name stores were discounting their ornaments by 70%, I believe. Otherwise, it was probably a better deal before the huge discount a week before Christmas! Broken items exist here and there but appear to be less of an issue, especially now that they have upped their [pillow] game. Traveling to homegoods is one of my favorite things to do on the weekends and this is one of my absolute favorite locations. I have found so many great things for our new house at this location and others. We were able to stock our entire kitchen with new utensils and cutlery. We have also purchased a beautiful golden yellow throw, side tables and lamps, sheet sets. I mean I can go on and on. Yes, like all quality discount stores such this it can get messy but blame that on customers who make a mess with no regard for the staff or other consumers. read more

I had a terrible experience at this location On January 2, 2023 around noon time I waited in a long line to pay for my items which included a long box of European chocolates. I placed the long box on the bottom of the shopping cart to avoid any damage to the fragile paper box. After I paid for ALL the items I proceeded to the exit / entrance of the store when a man holding a sweater asked me if I paid for the chocolates , I was surprised because I didn't know who he was I asked him if he work at the store and he said yes, and demanded to see a receipt for my items. I was the only person that was asked to show a proof of purchase, why? I told him that I will show him the receipt but he was wrong by grabbing and holding my box of chocolates until I can proof that I paid for the items. I should have called the police because that item was mine, I paid for with my money! After I show him the receipt he returned the item and told me to grab my stuff and to leave the store! I told him I will file a complaint and he stated that he didn't care. I left but returned a minute later to return the items I purchased, was a matter of principle. The cashier informed that he is the GM of the store and she apologized profusely about his GM unprofessional behavior. I was extremely upset about this issue. He should introduce himself and ask for a receipt in a professional manner but instead he treated me like a thief and embarrassed me in front of many people by holding my shopping cart until I proof I paid for it. I am Senior Mexican lady and I managed a business before, I would never treat a customer with such of disrespect. Needless to say TJMAXX/ Home Goods lost a loyal customer. Corporate Management should pay attention who is running their store or get ready for a profiling / discrimination lawsuit. Not everyone is as forgiving as I am. read more

This HomeGoods is located in a really busy shopping center. Given that this place gets really busy, they don't have as much in stock as they do in the stores more out West. Don't get me wrong there are definitely still some good finds at this location but you will have to come at the right time and really look. Also, this store appears a little bit more disorganized compared to others. I didn't really see any employees out on the floor in case I had any questions but the cashier checking me out was really nice. Overall, my shopping experience was ok. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for but ended up leaving with something I didn't need. Always happens when I step foot into a HomeGoods haha. read more

OK store. Can easily become into a very good one if they only take care of the items that are not in the best condition. Too many itmes looks as if they are used or already been sold to someone and now put back for sale. Other than that this is one of the places I stop at when moving into a new home. They have many things, and they have them in good quality. Just make sure you do not reuse items, or at least keep them in good condition. Good store. Could use some improvements. read more

So exited, just visited HomeGoods yesterday after months of VA shutdown due to Covid-19. There were come customers not wearing face mask. It is VA law to wear face mask when entering establishments. Spoke with the manager and he said CAN NOT make customers to wear mask. What was the point of him standing by the door. They do not care about there employees or customers. Therefore, I will NOT be supporting this store. But down the street at their sister store Marshall's made customers wear face mask. read more

I've had a long love affair with Home Goods since I walked into my first one in a shopping center back home. I've always considered the chain akin to someone having read my mind and blew up my favorite part of places like TJMaxx and Marshalls into a store all of its own. Gifts, home decor, table settings, you name it, I've spent more than a fair amount of change in Home Goods. I was thrilled when I discovered one was arriving so close to me here in the DC area, as the location in Kingstowne is just far enough away that its a special trip for me to go. But the Skyline store is just OK. Though I've been through the doors on many occasions, I can only recall a few where I walked out with a purchase. The selection just seems a bit mundane than I'm accustom for HGs and while most would be thrilled at finding the simple and mundane at bargain prices, I've always come here looking for the quirky and unusual. As others have said, this is a good place for cheap things you need but maybe not for the oddity that you'll fall in love with and always find a spot for in your home for years to come no matter how much space is at a premium. read more

I came into this store expecting something akin to Big Lots even though I'd heard it was so much more. I was blown away by the quality of the stuff for such low prices. I honestly could not believe it. Granted, there's some stuff that's broken and definitely things that have been picked over. But what do you expect from a discount store? This isn't West Elm . . . you'll actually have money left over in your account once you check out. Anyways, I saw so many things for my apt -- shower curtains, kitchen stuff, mirrors, soaps, candles, beautiful benches and chairs. Shabby chic pillows. I was in home furnishing heaven. They even sell Voss water at a deep discount! I'm curious to check out the Fairfax location now which I hear has a wider selection. read more

**This review is about an experience I had with an employee named Alexandria.*** I visit this location during off-peak hours b/c it can get really crowded. I went in last evening and spent about 20 minutes browsing. I ended up with a handful of stuff and proceeded to check out. I was met w/smiles when I approached the counter by Deborah and Alexandria. I had a bottle of Castille soap that didn't have a price sticker, and told Deborah, who was doing my check out that there were six other bottles with zero prices on them. Deborah checked w/Alexandria, who I presume was her superior, about creating a label for me for $5.99. Alexandria gave her this look that told her, don't believe her--go check for yourself. So, off Deborah went to confirm my story. I was left w/Alexandria at the counter, and as I was browsing the impulse goods at the counter, she said, "Do you want that, ma'am," in a tone that felt like I wasn't supposed to touch anything or like I was going to put it in my pocket. I replied "Is it okay to look?" She didn't say anything. Home Goods has always been such a great place to shop. Employees are always so nice and helpful, but this particular staff member, Alexandria, doesn't belong at Home Goods, as she lacks customer service skills and lacks a friendly, genuine disposition. Awful. I left feeling like I had done something wrong, like I should keep my hands to myself at the counter. Oh, as for the price check, Deborah kindly confirmed what I said and created a new sticker for me based on a similar product. You can find the weirdest, cutest, stupidest, cheapest random stuff here. We brought some pretty cheap "art" and some calphalon pans. Everything is good pricing, just gotta make sure you dont' find anything wrong with the product. I saw a spice rack here for 10$ less then what jc penny was selling it for. Just went to this store for the first time recently to check it out. I wound up being there for well over an hour and purchased several adorable things for my house. If you take the time to really look,you can find some neat stuff in this store. Just had a great (and quick) shopping experience largely due to a helpful young associate named Brandon. I needed help to move and buy a bench seat, not too big but awkward without a flat trolley. Brandon was immediately there to assist, not only to get it to the front for the cashier but he also loaded it into the car. Such a pleasant and polite young man - and the cashier was super nice too but I didn't get her name. Probably the most efficient trip to Home Goods ever! read more

I love this store! HomeGoods is a great place to find unique design items for your space at a reasonable price. HomeGoods is unlike your local superstores like Target or Walmart in that they do not mass produce or mass inventory their décor products. This makes it less likely that you are going to be over a friend's home and see the same items you've purchased for your home. Just make sure that if you find something you like you get as many as you need when you see them so that you are not chasing unicorns when you figure out you actually need more. I've run into issues of needing additional drapery panels, going back to find the exact drapes and coming up empty handed. I'm always able to find something at this store. Just be sure to check your items for imperfections. Also, they will not hold products so if you can afford it purchase what you think you need. They have a decent return policy so if you find out you don't need it just be sure to return within 30 days. I recently moved to the area and I've been doing a lot of furniture and decor shopping. I had two carts full of items and my girlfriend and I were interested in a rug. The woman working there told us we had to come back 45 minutes later. We had no issue with that. We asked if we could put our carts to the side so we could come back and purchase everything at once. The woman working there seemed to view this as a huge inconvenience. She was rude to my girlfriend when she asked, but we put our cart to the side and left. We came back an hour and a half later, which was 15 minutes before close. There were people still shopping but the doors were locked, so no one could get in. My girlfriend went into the exit door to ask the woman if we could just buy our stuff. She said they were closed (It was 9:20 and they close at 9:30). She wouldn't let us in the store and told us we took too long. I had at least $1000 dollars worth of stuff in the carts they put back. I told her they were still open so we should be AT LEAST allowed in to buy the rug. She told us they were closed. Customers were still checking out and store hours said 9:30. As a paying customer, I never expect to be treated with such disrespect. I am in the store to spend my hard earned money on their products. No one deserves to be treated the way she treated my girlfriend and I. This homegoods has 10 other similar stores within a mile. I would highly recommend ANYWHERE else. I will never step foot in this store again, and I will make sure no one I knows spends a dime at a place that hires such rude employees. read more

This store is disgusting and never ceases to amaze me. My first disgusting experience is when I went there and bought a comforter that I thought was new and it was used and it stunk like curry and body odor. My second experience is when I bought a blanket throw and it put fleas or some kind of bed bugs in my couch and I still haven't been able to get rid of it I'm going to have to replace my couches. It took 3 washes to get my blanket throw clean. read more

The prices are unbeatable and there is no other home accessories/furnishings store that has such a selection (from different vendors and styles). I love Home Goods! What I particularly like about this one is that I've always been able to find what I need (and more)! I've been able to find many nice accents to my home here, all at great prices!
