First time in this store as I was doing errands nearby and someone mentioned this was here; while driving up Route 28 I kept thinking it seemed too residential and I missed it somehow, but then there it was: a big store in the middle of a neighborhood. Lots of parking, very well organized and all the extras that make HG easy to shop: throw pillows arranged by color, good cards for $1.99 so you can stock up and be ready for all occasions and an aisle full of dish towels with every color/design you can dream of. Animal lover? Prefer plaid over stripes? Towels to proclaim your love of whatever holiday is coming up? There is a towel - and maybe a matching pot holder - for that! Living in the city, the stores around here don't have a lot of the larger furniture items but they had a few big sofas and chairs, tables for homes larger than 600sf (lucky suburbanites) and outdoor rugs larger than my first condo. Extra bonus points for having four registers open on a Friday morning with nice employees at all! read more

I had The best experience!! those young kids are the best and always so helpful!! I needed help finding the perfect bath rug and Ainsley was the best!! I found the perfect One!!. The girl up front, I think her name was sally, on register one was super helpful and friendly. silly me I didn't realize that one of my items didn't have a price so a nice girl named rachael gladly found a price for me. The girl loves this place. I still see it as an elephant graveyard for aggressively produced, Pier One Import-type furnishings, some of which are solid gets at half the price, while others look like they got saved from a fire at Granny's house. This particular location seems to be in the space of an old grocery store, which plays tricks on the stomach that expects deli meats and fertile produce when dodging blue hairs through the aisles of a uniform parking lot. Seriously confusing. A definite star bump for the staff, who bent over backwards to help us load our uncovered gems in to the Shaggin' Wagon. Sup 60s, I didn't see you there. Four employees helped track down a dolly, recover the dolly, load the dolly, unload the dolly and return the dolly. It was like a union gig! Lower priced overstock that serves as a fertile pickin' grounds for saucy minxes with a solid design eye or two (the girl), while anyone who digs lazers and not shopping (the me) will have more fun playing Bumper Rally aboard the dolly in the parking lot out front. This was my favorite Homegoods store around. We have never had a problem here and the customer service has been good in the past. Today I was trying to buy Christmas stocking holder and it was all scraped on one side w some paint missing, the other gold one was the same way but in different spots. The same item but different colors were not scratched. We bought it to the register to see if they had anymore anywhere or maybe receive a discount on the damaged one. The cashier said she was unable to change the price but she could ask the manager. The manager wasn't very nice and didn't even interact with us. She just took it rolled her eyes brought it to the other end of the registers. She ended up marking it down only 99 cents, so instead of 14.99 it was 14.00! When I questioned the cashier because the manager didn't come over, she said that "They have been getting a lot of damaged merchandise and they can't keep marking things down." Or something very similar to that effect. I'm sorry but that is definitely not something to say to a customer. That is not our fault it is the stores fault for accepting damaged merchandise. That comes down to them, if they are receiving damaged merchandise why wouldn't they send it back? This is not great customer service at all! read more

Wow, this Homegoods is HUGE!! It's definitely one of the better ones in the area in terms of size and stock. You can get lost in here and easily find yourself with ten extra things in your carriage an hour later that were most assuredly not on your shopping list when you arrived. Like with any Homegoods, it's best not to walk in with any preconceived notions of what you'll find because stock is always changing. Whether you're searching for an eclectic piece of furniture or some delicate stationary, you'll at the very least walk out with new ideas for how to decorate your home. read more

Usually stores seem to have a bit of an attitude toward customers waiting for the store to be open, be here, they chatted with us, and were very helpful to share info about pieces I was looking for. This Homegoods is one of the best ones around, and I have visited many of the stores in the MA and NH area. Today I returned an item, and then briefly was checking for some napkins that I had seen and wanted more of, and this store had them! When one 4 pack was missing one of the napkins, Jake came to the rescue, helped me locate another set of the napkins, and then he marked down the set with only 3--- 5 stars for customer service! Isabel was very pleasant and helpful today, too. You should go--They have nice staff and nice stuff!! read more

Still awesome. Went in here over the weekend to get some party-style stuff. Scored some AWESOME display platters - we found lots of ugly ones but also some really classy ones too. I would say 9 out of 10 visits I find exactly what I'm looking for, and the other 2 times I end up buying something I didn't know I needed (or didn't need but omgosh it's adorable!). This place is dangerous for my wallet but great for my home! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Be cautious going right before the holidays as their shelves fill with more gift baskets than "home goods". I'll be back...again...and again...and again. read more

I am a huge sucker for any store that has a "home goods" section. Years ago, when I was a kid I worked at a Filene's and even though I only put things away in the HG section, I was always wishing I had the money to buy something there. This probably stems from the fact that I was always getting hand-me-downs and usually barely had the money for rent, much less the money to fill my apartments with anything nice! Now that I am a little more grown up, and live in a place where I am almost certain my roommates won't eff my belongings up, I have started to slowly accumulate nice things for my home. I don't really like to spend a lot of money on myself, and so I seem to always head back to Homegoods. I have found all kinds of nice sheets, one extraordinarily nice comforter (which I hope will keep us warm for years to come!) and a few select gifts for friends. I like to look at the cooking section, but haven't found anything that really stands out to me at this location. I've found more here in the bedding, and bathroom sections than anywhere else. I saw this store in passing one day, and then randomly found myself with some time to kill one day and so I searched for this store until I found it. It was kind of busy, but the lines didn't seem too long, so I went in and found myself some sheets (because I recently bought a new bed, and it's deeper (?) than my last one- plus all of our sheets were either ripped or stained...) for around $40. The sheet set was a silver/grey color and came with extra pillow cases (something I usually have to buy cause we keep about 7 pillows on our bed... I thought this was a pretty good deal, plus upon further inspection the sheets were WICKED SOFT! I looked around a little more and found a really nice Calvin Klein down (faux down?) comforter, and got that as well - it almost matches the sheets too... Could you ask for more?! In a house full of mismatched belongings, it is nice to have one thing (especially your bed!) that looks like it's meant to look a certain way, plus the added comfort of all these things? Priceless, in my opinion. I have been here a few more times since my first visit/big purchase. The people have always been nice to me, and they have a public restroom (which is a plus, though it's hard to find... In the back left corner of the store, down the hall to your right a little) which was really nice to see after being out shopping for over an hour while drinking a metric ton of coffee on Black Friday... read more

Homegoods is great. All kinds of things for your Home! You get everything from rugs to glassware. We like to drive out to this one in Reading rather than going to the one in Somerville which is a real Fing zoo all the time. This one is much more relaxed and less people. read more

Pretty lit. Got a teal blanket this one time soft as heck. Not a fan of the 700 dollar giraffe tho. This one kid working there gave me the wrong rug tho and tried to do one handed pull-ups on the rug hanger thingy, you know. If only they had tacos. read more

Love it. You can always find something to spruce your home on the cheap. Sometimes you have to dig around a little bit to discover a hidden gem. The quality of the kitchen tools is great, and sometimes I find bags of Godiva chocolates that are cheaper than buying them elsewhere. There's always something good here, just be willing to look. If you see what you like, don't wait to get it later because it won't be there. read more
