When I asked the price for the dress the cashier said she would look it up and said it is selling online for over a $100 so they would sell it at the same price. If you would like to make your business a place to sell high priced items I would recommend cleaning it up and marketing as so. I'm a thriftier and I shop all over, a big chain that marks up like Savers wouldn't even charge these prices! Even Boston consignment shops such as covet don't do this. I wonder are these items donated? I will not be revisiting and stick to other shops! Also while I was in there another shopper was asking why a no brand purse was priced so high, so this wasn't just me.

Manager told him unfortunately he has to sell to me, then proceeded to berate me in front of 2 lines of customers, saying "Oh, you're one of those Penny Queens. This store is notorious for penny shoppers like you. Well, I'm the new manager now, and that's going to change now that I'm in charge." I told her I guess they'd rather have perfectly good product sitting in a landfill. I let her know that I donate all the items I find for a penny, asked if the store does the same or whether they toss it. She claims she herself donates to veterans. I said GREAT! I finally found an awesome lighthouse paint by numbers that I snagged for my sister in law. Though it was a bit pricey, I felt good supporting a local business vs Michaels. While I was shopping I could hear the owner on the phone with a customer assisting them and not rushing to get them to hang up which is very nice. Once I checked out she offered to wrap it for me with no extra charge. I thought it was such a special touch. She also has an adorable dog that was behind the counter who was a friendly old lady. I've always been greeted with kind staff members and a friendly face at the register, so top marks to all the people who work here. Perhaps my favorite section of the store is the perennially busy hot food bar: they cook up a cheap but amazingly good steak bomb (always add spicy mayo on it, trust me, it's the secret sauce), sweet potato fries, honey BBQ wings, and divinely seasoned potato wedges. I'm telling you, these are consistently the best potato wedges you will ever eat. Yep, you heard it from me: Market Basket has the best fries. Anywhere. I once asked them if they were baked or fried and received the most hilarious response: "Yes. [pause] They are fried. [pause] In oil." I will note, though, that sometimes the wings and spinach swirl pies are burnt, so do purchase them judiciously on any given day. Also, the wings that need to be heated up at home and that are sold in the refrigerated section below the hot food bar are vastly inferior--don't go for them if you can get the fresh wings: they're definitely made differently. The store is always bursting with people and is somewhat cramped compared to wholesale stores, but it's actually on the bigger side for an MB. The Stop & Shop just outside (which some MB regulars will take the liberty of visiting immediately afterward, myself included, to check for several items on sale that compete with MB) feels like a ghost town in comparison. Lastly, in terms of current COVID precautions taken: the store is no longer enforcing mask-wearing, and at least 60% of shoppers (I was last there a couple days ago) forego mask wearing (if not more). In addition, not all staff members are wearing masks anymore. Social distancing is difficult because the store is quite cramped as I mentioned previously.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experiences with this pharmacy have been consistently…read moredisappointing. Most recently, my mother urgently needed medication. Knowing the pharmacy was about to close, I called ahead to let them know I was on my way. I was told to "hurry". I arrived approximately two minutes after the posting closing time, only about five minutes after my call, and the staff had already closed and refused to help, despite knowing I was coming for an urgent prescription. This wasn't an isolated incident. I arrived while the pharmacy window was still open, but because the staff was preparing to go on their break, they refused to assist me even though I was already there. Customer service and compassion seemed to take a back seat to the clock. To make matters worse, the pharmacy has reduced its hours to 6pm on weekdays and is closed on weekends, making it extremely difficult for working people and anyone with urgent medication needs to get prescriptions filled. Unfortunately, the staff has also been consistently rude and unhelpful during my interactions. I understand that employees deserve breaks and pharmacies have operating hours, but when someone calls ahead about an urgent prescription and arrives minutes later after being told to hurry, a little compassion can make a tremendous difference. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both customer service and access to care.

I think of the line in One Hour Photo when the boss tells Sy that it's not exactly Neimen Marcus and people generally go there for a quick pair of socks. True, but I find myself there at least once a weekend, more often with a list. The cashiers we "know" always say hello and it's nice to be recognized when you spent your cash. Returns are almost absurdly easy (sometimes there is a line) and the Men's clothing has improved. The only issues are, unlike the "old" stores, there is no real people that work in a set department with some cross-training. Language barriers are hard to get past at times. All in all, not the Monster that people like to bag on, I've been going for many years and have zero issues.
