Unbelievably terrible customer service today. Cameron might wanna consider a different line of work. This cashier shrugged big shoulders, audible sigh, and was so put out when I asked if he was going to bag my purchases because he handed me my receipt and turned his back on me -I presumed he was done with me. The cashier next to him said "oh he just hasn't gotten to it yet!". She was sticking up for him. So he reluctantly put some of my purchases in the bag and left others on the counter when I said oh I'll get those he just walked away. Will never shop here again. Stopped in there this Sunday evening, quietly shopping around - didn't even need to interact with anyone for any reason while in the store before checkout, just minding our own business. Young lady with long brunette ponytail on a power trip - not even actually working, just walking around harassing customers. I love the home goods brand & I generally shop at home goods quite often, but bc of that discriminatory employee experience, this store has lost paying customers - my husband & I won't come here again, nor will we recommend to any family/friends. read more

My new favorite place. I stopped here to avoid traffic but I came out with ideas for my office and my apartment. There's cute items and furniture. Also, I want to redecorate my bedroom with all these cute bed sheets. Everyone working there was really friendly as well. HomeGoods specializes in banal home accessories. It stuffs its locations with must-have products that add style and personalization to your decor. HomeGoods is also a time-trap. You might not need anything whatsoever upon entering the store, but as soon as you begin to imagine that four-foot tall Egyptian statue in aisle four greeting you in your entrance everyday; the spell is cast. You've now entered the world of HomeGoods. You're on their dime now. The Solana Beach location does an exceptional job of hiding truly interesting items throughout the store. Upon walking in, these store literally smells like a dog! Probably because there are like 5 dogs in the store every single time I go! Dogs in shopping carts, dogs barking at each other, dog poop on the floor! I don't understand why people take their animals shopping. Besides the dogs, the store always seems to be a mess. Very neat, clean store. Well lit, Friendly service. No long line at checkout. Everyrhing had a price tag which i LOVE. Parking was easy since it it located in a super big mall right next to the 5 freeway. Easy to get into and get back on the road to home. I found two items that i could not live without. I would've bought more if i had less self control. read more

I could live at HomeGoods. There's never a doubt in my mind that this chain is the most affordable home furnishing store. Most of all, I couldn't be happier about this new location! I no longer have to drive the extra 20 minutes to the Encinitas location, which is fantastic for someone like me who has a young infant. The store is right off the freeway which makes it easy to get to even in traffic. While HomeGoods always has a variety of things available, I did notice that this particular location does not have an outrageous amount of selections. I have shopped at the store a couple times to find basic home and kitchen needs, however I still find myself driving to Encinitas occasionally because that location has a WAAAYYY bigger variety of items. For every 10 candle holders at the Solana Beach location, Encinitas has 40. This could be because the Solana Beach store is brand-new, so I do plan on returning often to see if their inventory increases over time. Regardless, I'm sure the store will do great in this Del Mar/Solana Beach area. read more

Hello Reader, I am a Home Goods super-fan. Yes, I was at this store on opening day and yes, I did drag my husband & almost 4-year-old son along. (Shout out to my boys who so graciously accompanied me) Yes, it was opening day so the store was amazingly crowded, but who cares! Woohoo! Hallelujah! There's. A. Home Goods. Just. Down. The. Street. How that would not bring immediate joy & happiness to someone's life is beyond my understanding. #firstworldproblems. Anyway, this store is fantastic. This location smells weird when you walk in. Tried to look around but I ended up having to leave the store, only made it less than a quarter of the store before I had to eventually leave due to the gross smell (this location is HUGE!). I most likely won't be coming back, it sucks since I haven't had this type of experience in any retail store before. read more

I've been to better homegoods locations. The inventory leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of broken items that weren't marked down are always on the floor. I prefer the Point Loma location on rosecrans. Cashier gave my husband attitude when he asked for a bag, yes he is aware that it's 10 cents and paid for it. read more

Location is great, right off the highway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They carry one-of-a-kind furnitures and home decorations at very reasonable prices. They also have kitchen, dining, bath and bedding items. Plenty of parking in the front and side of the store. read more

I'm a huge HomeGoods "junkie," but this store (Solana Beach, CA) is the worst HomeGoods I've been to, and I'm so disappointed. It seemed like the shelves had only half of the merchandise that other HomeGoods do. I don't know if they got wiped out at the grand opening or if this is the way it will be. Also, the store has a poor layout - the aisles are short and choppy - nothing flows - and there are several large posts in the way that block shopping carts from being able to go around. Finally, the web site says they open weekdays at 9:30 a.m., but when you arrive at the store, the door says they open at 9:00 a.m., so who knows? read more
