My daughter loves to shop at this store for jewelry and did so this weekend where we purchased matching Pura Vida rings in silver and gold. I tried to see if the ring would fit me while in the store but with it attached to a card it made it hard to verify the fit. I bought a size in hopes it would fit the finger my daughter wants us to wear it on but when trying on when we got home it didn't fit. This morning I went back to exchange or special order the next size up and my experience left me with conviction to never spend another cent in this store again. There was a young lady and a middle age woman (who fits the description of the biased behavior in another persons review) fully engrossed in a conversation about a reality show the woman is watching behind the register counter. I checked to see if the ring is in stock in the size I needed and it wasn't so I approach them. The young lady did interrupt their conversation to greet me and I explained my situation asking if it could be ordered. At this point it felt like they were annoyed with me whether it was because I interrupted the conversation or asked for something to be ordered. The woman told me that they don't carry the size I needed and then turns to the young lady to tell her that they only carry 3 sizes. I said okay and proceeded to check to see if there was a different ring to exchange it with since this ring won't work for me and noticed SEVERAL rings in the size I needed my ring in. I commented on that and the woman looked in the computer and said that it's not available in my size. I found a ring I liked and asked if I could do an exchange. This was the one area where customer service was provided although begrudgingly because I didn't have the receipt but could prove on my phone that money was spent there with my credit card. While getting coffee at Blue Apron I found the ring I wanted in the size I needed on Amazon and promptly ordered it. Appears it was available in that size after all. To the owner of this store: Your staff, especially the middle aged woman, is doing your company a disservice. The entire time I spent in there looking at other rings not once did they greet the other customers because they were busy with their conversation. I've been making a conscious choice to shop local before buying Amazon because I want to support local businesses especially small business. However, after today your store will not be one of them. I cannot think of a valid reason as to why I received the treatment that I did but I definitely got that vibe where I felt like they were trying to make me feel out of place and was out of line for interrupting their conversation. Message received and we won't be back. read more

I was at the One Paseo location a few days ago and I don't know who the young blonde girl in the pink shorts who works there is, but she is literally the nicest person i have ever met! Extremely helpful when my mom couldn't find the right size in her Olukai shoes. She was very kind and gentle with her so I thought she deserved a shoutout lol! Adorable store! read more

So much implicit bias by the hostess who greeted us. I walked in with my son and his friend who is visiting from out of town. This lady (mid 50s caucasian) greeted the friend asked him about his soccer jersey and what he was looking for. I said he wanted to pick something for his parents and was trying to converse adult to adult. This lady not at all interested in me and my son. After we bought stuff (all 3 bought), she asks the friend what he got and said it was a good choice etc, continues to ignore me (again the adult) and my son. No nice-sities or visit again etc. Which we would have as we are the locals. My son's friend whom this lady apoke to commented that she was biased and ignored us (brown folks) while spoke to him (white blonde blue eyed kid). 2 kids same socioeconomic background but one is talked to while the other is ignored! Wahoo! Found another spot to purchase my Olukai's. Our husband and I are big on both their flip flops and last year discovered their slip on sneakers. In particular, the Pehuea. I have the sneakers in the black, clay and have also been wanting to get them in the charcoal. I've been keeping an eye out for them at our usual surf shops but I could never find my size. Thankfully, I found them here and snagged them right away and the price was the same as they are at other retail stores. All these shoes are usually self-help on the rack so I liked that I could see what they had available for purchase. And they're all separated neatly by brand and style. Very organized. Also, I'm a big fan of the Puravida bracelets and they had a jewelry tree at the cashier that I was happy to look through. Found a beige moonstone charm bracelet (https://www.puravidabracelets.com/collections/charms/products/moonstone-charm-bracelet) that I just had to have. I put it on immediately and have not taken it off. I'm pretty tan and usually natural colors get washed out with my skin color but this is perfect. This visit was a huge win for me. While looking around I found some really great boardshorts but but didn't see them in my size so I took them to the counter and spoke with the manager. They didn't have my size in stock at this location but had them at another. She was super helpful and had them transferred here within a few days. Great store and great staff! read more

It was 15 minutes to closing on a week night when I went into the store. I was happily greeted by Savvy & Alyssa. They were so helpful and despite the store closing soon, they were eager and happy to help me find what I was looking for. It's rare that you have such great customer service in retail. I never write reviews but I had such a pleasant experience in this shop this morning. I was doing some Christmas shopping at One Paseo and wandered in not really knowing what I was looking for. Immediately I was greeted by a woman with glasses who asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her I was Christmas shopping for a few people in my family and she gave me a bunch of great ideas for each one of them. She was very knowledgeable and helpful and I ended up buying quite a few gifts. She even recommended a great adjustable belt for my brother who is very difficult to shop for. She appeared to be working alone but devoted all her attention to me which really meant a lot. Then when she was ringing me up she offered to gift wrap my items. I had quite a few things but she didn't seem bothered by it. She even labeled the bottoms of the gift bags so I'd be able to tell them apart. Apart from the great customer service the store was very neat and clean. I know it was early in the morning but you could tell it was really taken care of. I'm not sure if this woman was the owner or not but you could tell she had a lot of pride in the store. If not I hope the owners know what a gem of an employee they have! read more

I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone in this store. The two girls working there never said hello or acknowledged me and I was the only one in the store. Then when I asked about another size they acted like I was bothering them. Terrible customer service and horrible size selection. I would never step foot in this store again. Just walked out of the store after trying to return swim trunks that I purchased for my son. Granted, I was outside of their 14 day return period, they refused to allow me to size up the shorts or exchange for anything else. They had the shorts still on the shelf and the girl, Dariel at the counter, just kept responding in the most obnoxious attitudes that it was past the return date, even though when she sold me the shorts said a return or exchange would be no problem. So much for trying to support small local business. It would have been smarter and cheaper to purchase the shorts online. read more
