Beautiful selection of baby and children's clothing. Great place to buy a special gift!

I visited on 6/6 after passing by and seeing an outfit in the window I knew I needed for my son. Upon entering I was greeted right away and when I asked for help locating the item they caught my eye an associate stopped what she was doing and helped me and suggested another similar outfit that I also loved! The associate was so kind and I loved talking with her as I checked out. Sweetpea is definitely expensive but I would like to get my son more clothing from here since the quality is superb and the clothing is so unique! read more

Definitely shop here for a shower gift or 1st birthday. They have super cute baby clothes and the staff was really attentive and helpful. As far as shopping for your own child though, you might find it a little expensive. My son has literally grown out of sizes before he's even worn something once so justifying some of the price tags at Sweetpea was kinda tough. Still you can find some fun hats and accessories that should last a bit longer, and again gift-wise it's pretty classy baby stuff. If you're in this shopping center and have a small child in your life it's definitely worth a stop in for a look. read more

My daughter and I went shopping at this store when we were visiting the Del Mar Racetrack. We were greeted by a lovely young lady named Banks, who was such an excellent sales lady and did a great job coordinating outfits for my daughter. We left the store with a darling outfit to wear to the race track and will definitely be visiting again once we return to Del Mar. I highly recommend the store, the merchandise is beautiful and unique...but best of all is the customer service!!! :) read more

This is my favorite children's boutique in San Diego! They have the best quality and most fashionable clothing and accessories! I love that they have brands you can't find anywhere else and an amazing selection! I have been shopping here for my daughter since she was born and I always find what I'm looking for. I also love shopping here for baby shower gifts. The staff is so kind and always help with gift ideas and also to put outfits together. Cute clothes, awful customer service. Extremely rude. I will never be going back. There is so much importance to customer service. First, let me start out by saying that this shop has a well curated selection of clothing. I have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars here over the past few months outfitting my baby. Recently, my mother and I went shopping here and bought several onesies, and a variety of other accessories. At the register, my mom said, "gosh, I hope they fit." (My daughter is 3 mos. and we got 6-9 mo long sleeve onesies for this winter.) The woman who was checking us out said that if they don't fit, we could come exchange them. At home, I cut the tags off and put the items in her drawer. I always wash clothing right before it's worn, so that its fresh, and in case I notice anything wrong. A few weeks later, I pulled one out and realized these outfits (sized 6-9 mo) would be way too small when she was that age. Brand new, but without the tags on, I called to ask if they would still accept the return. The girl on the phone said she would ask her manager. She told me to come in when the manager was there and that they do make exceptions. So, the next day I went in. Immediately upon walking in I was glared at due to my baby crying. I waited until she was not busy and told [who I assume was the manager] about sizing and asked to exchange the sizes. Mind you, she was the original person who had said to bring them back if sizing was an issue. She said they look worn. Again, I said they were unused, unworn, and unwashed. My newborn has not worn 6-9 mo long sleeve onesies in the middle if the summer. She rudely insinuated that I was lying. Which, I was not! I told her she herself said we could bring them back, and asked her what made her think they were used and washed, she said "I have kids and I can smell it." She became increasingly rude, and I gathered my things up to leave. She suggested a donate the items if they don't fit! Brand new $60 onesies simply without tags! I have managed an extremely busy retail store myself and would have NEVER treated someone the way she did. She was very rude. Robotic. They should not have told me they are exchangeable when they are not. Additionally, being a regular customer who has spent over $1000 in just the past few months, you'd think they would care to help me. My tip- Nordstrom has wonderful customer service and comparable clothing. Specific brands like kickee pants and magnolia baby can be found online much more reasonably. To the owner- respect your customers. I would have a serious discussion with your manager and staff. Calling people liars is unacceptable, as is telling someone they can make an exchange just to make a sale, then retracting the statement. I was a regular customer, and will now never be going back. read more

Have been to this store several times for their adorable children's clothes. But not once did someone greet me or even knowledge me. I purchased a couple items and still not once did the young lady say hello or even look at me. Not sure if I need to spend my money here again!!!! This shop has the BEST selection of baby and children's clothing. They have all the best brands that have the softest onesies and newborn sets. I found the cutest "take me home" set for my June baby! Very, very, very, very upscale children's shop. This is the place that all the Hollywood elite would shop if they lived down here. From designer clothes to decorating services, Sweetpea has it all for the rich and famous or the local Rancho Santa Fe folk. Of course if you are a shopper like me and my daughter this place is rad as the clothes are really great and cute and very, very sweet. I'm not sure if I would spend this much on clothes for kids but it's still nice to browse and pretend. read more

Went in yesterday around 5:30 pm looking for shoes for my one year old daughter. The two ladies working were extremely helpful and patient helping me try on different sizes and colors to see which one was the best fit, which wasn't easy because she's in between sizes. Absolutely recommend and will definitely be back. read more

Just left that store picked out several outfits one of the dresses on the rack outside was priced at $38 on sale two others one was marked 58 when was Mark 33.50 the store owner would not honor the 33.50 price I can't believe they mark the same dress at three different prices if you shop anywhere else stores will honor that lower price she was adamant and hit in the back room after I confronted her with the discrepancy and told her employee not to give me the 33.50 price. I don't like people cheating the consumer. They lost out on a larger purchase. read more

I found this store in my search for the perfect baby shoes. Basically, I read an article about how (due to baby's developing balance) it is SUPER important for babies to have very flexible shoe soles, and that miniature "adult shoe styles" (although cute) are often detrimental to their developing balance. So I dropped my notions of my son's first shoes being mini Chucks, and I went off in search of uber flexible shoes. I tried countless baby stores and couldn't find what I needed until landed here. Upon walking in to the store, I was overwhelmed by the quantity of cute little girls clothing, and wondered if they had anything for boys. But as soon as the sales staff asked me how they could help me and I replied, I was whisked off to a tiny little corner of the store where they had a number of shoes tucked away. And there they were... Pediped "Originals" shoes... designed with baby's first steps in mind. EXTREMELY flexible, leather soles allowing the shoe experience to closely mimic barefoot walking; yet with thick enough soles that I don't need to worry if my son's feet will be protected. The staff helped me find the appropriate size (the 12-18 month size PERFECTLY fit my 12 month old son) and my son was immediately walking in them without any effort... which he loved since I was finally letting him explore things without holding him. The Pedipeds were $36 (plus tax), which seemed reasonable for handcrafted, leather shoes. Since my son was now occupied with his solo mission (exploring the store), I was freed up to start perusing the clothing. The girls clothing selection largely outnumbered the selection for boys (probably about 70/30). However, they still had some adorable little boys outfits. I thought that, with all the high-end choices (especially given the local market which leans towards health-minded activities and locally sourced, organic foods) that I might've also stumbled upon a store which also carried organic baby clothing. No such luck. They had some clothing which is 100% cotton, but that's as good as it gets. Needless to say, I shopped anyway and found two really cute little cotton outfits for my son. Got up to the register and was shocked to find that the clothing was $225 BEFORE tax. Seriously... two shirts, two overalls, $225. Needless to say, I probably won't be buying many more outfits from them since I can get baby clothing (and ORGANIC) online for less, but I'll keep going back for the baby shoes! read more

Such a cute store! Sweet Pea has adorable clothes and accessories for babies and children. Since I have an 8 month-old daughter, I focused mostly on baby girl clothes. Oh my goodness, the frilly swimsuits were soooo cute. This is a great place to get special occasion clothes. read more
