I've been coming to this HomeGoods for about three years now, and it's easily one of the most…read moreconsistently pleasant retail experiences I've had. The staff here really stands out. They strike that perfect balance--always friendly, approachable, and available if you need help, but never hovering or interrupting your shopping. It makes it easy to take your time exploring the store while still feeling like support is nearby if you need it. Checkout is just as great. The team is always kind, efficient, and welcoming, and I can honestly say I've never had a negative interaction there--which, for retail, is pretty impressive. Overall, it's a well-run store with a genuinely positive atmosphere. I keep coming back not just for the finds, but for how easy and enjoyable they make the whole shopping experience.

I recently had a frustrating experience at a different HomeGoods (Point Loma) where I was told it…read morewas "impossible" to check stock at other locations for a specific art piece by Wendy Kroeker. Thankfully, I didn't give up and called the Poway store instead. Carmen answered the phone and was an absolute gem. Not only did she find the piece I was looking for, but she also went above and beyond by holding a second piece by the same artist just in case I liked it too! When I arrived, I was blown away by how well-stocked, organized, and beautiful this location is--it looked like a commercial! The teamwork was evident; my cashier, Hanna, already knew I was there for the pieces Carmen had held for me. Because of their kindness and professionalism, I was able to get the perfect birthday present for myself. Huge thank you to Carmen, Hanna, and the Poway team for turning my "defeated" feeling into a wonderful memory. I am so grateful for your help! Please give everyone at this store a raise!!

Corrie and Katie are extremely helpful and nice. Picking out outdoor furniture here was a breeze…read more The selection has both outdoor and indoor, so if you want inspiration it's a great spot. Lots of different pieces for entertaining as well. The space is large and unassuming which I like. There's premium items so you know you're going to get a lot of wear for the quality.

This is for the Mission Valley Store…read more I am so impressed with this furniture store. Co managers Paul and Sandi are highly professional and articulate/kind communicators. I saw an announcement for the grand opening of this furniture store in Mission Valley. I called and expressed my interest in buying a vintage looking couch in a bright raspberry-ish color. I know; that seemed like a stretch for the furniture stores here in SD. Paul assured me that his coworker Sandi had experience in both retro design and color, and that he'd be happy to send her over to my home for a consult. He told me that there was a fee for the service, but it would be then applied to anything that I purchased. When I told him that would be fine if I could be guaranteed of said design and color options, he said he'd be happy to send her over without a fee. That was a nice first impression! Soon thereafter, bright and cheery and ever so knowledgeable Sandi arrived with a big smile that matched her positive attitude. She measured, looked at the current state of my living room for color, texture and style, as well as asked me for color/style ideas. After providing her with those things, we made an appointment for me to go to the showroom. In the next couple of days-- even before my appointment, she had sent me a couple of sofa shape options as well as a spot on fabric color. Oh my goodness-- a miracle worker! At my meeting with her in the store, she had me test out the sofas for cushion level comfort and depth. Then, it was easier to narrow down my choices. I was there for a couple of hours. I was thrilled that we were pretty much on the same page about what would work-- as well as our collective philosophy of "thinking outside the box". Accordingly, we came up with a fabulous design-- incorporating design elements from 3 different sofas. As if that wasn't enough, the next day she came over-- again, to fine tune both the shape and dimensions, to assure that it would work wonderfully in my home. My new raspberry colored retri couch will arrive any day now, and I am dying to see it! I can't say enough about Sandi and her level of customized customer service---such an anomaly here in San Diego. Please go visit them at their Mission Valley locale-- and tell them that I sent you. You will thank me later, for sure! Enjoy!
