Not safe. I went yesterday to get some bath rugs. The store is over crowded, many shoppers not wearing masks properly. People going in all the wrong directions. Not following the arrows .... the sanitizer in the bathroom was almost finished at only around 3pm. Completely disgusting. I left my cart and left. I didn't want to catch covid especially here. Love love this Home Goods! They have such a huge collection of Cynthia Rowley whom I absolutely love dearly! Their color breakdown around the store is on point and super organized! They have decorations that you probably won't find anywhere else, especially with such an awesome price tag!! From carpet to dressers, to bathroom supplies and bedroom decor - Home Goods has it all! I always go in for one thing and walk out with much more - lets just say my pre-estimated 15 minute Home Goods experience never works out - it turns into more of a full hour and change. If you are new home/apt buyer or just simply decorating, you are going to be heaven. You are going to get lost in the gorgeous pieces Home Goods has to offer! The staff was super helpful and nice. There is a parking lot in front which is always a plus and before I forget, did I mention you can even purchase food items as well as items for your dog - super plus in my book!! I was surprised to find dozens of employees roaming around the Westport Home Goods when I first entered. All were very quick to answer questions, and some more than others eager to even walk you over to find an item. This Home Goods is larger (or seems it) than most, and has a really great selection of items. You can really find almost anything in this store to fully furnish a home. The only thing I've had a hard time finding is quality barware (really good martini glasses, anyone?). read more

Worst customer service. They don't know their merchandize - one employee insisted they had no coasters; I found a whole shelf of them. Every time I call I'm on hold for 15+ minutes, get transferred to 3 people, then get hung up on, and I'm told different things (when a delivery is coming, when it will be available) by every employee... incredibly frustrating experience. read more

The place is a zoo. Narrow aisles, almost impossible to navigate. Rude and surly staff, when you can find any. Check out lines reaching to the next county. I was given directions to find something by a staff member, which were totally wrong. I won't return. read more

If you're a fan of HomeGoods like I am, you'll be astounded by the size and selection at this particular store. Most HomeGoods locations inlcude some kind of TJ Maxx/Marshalls hybrid but this one is a wonderland of allllllllll decor, furniture and housewares. Great selection of cooking/baking stuff (love buying flavor extracts and baking supplies here) but the best part is in the vast array of mirrors, lamps and all kinds of furniture pieces. Every time I'm in the area visiting family, I always make sure to stop here! read more

I live nearby and come here frequently to buy cards (most are $2!) and gifts. The staff is amazing--they are always upbeat and happy to help if you're looking for something specific. I wouldn't come here looking to furnish my whole house, but they do have a large section for kitchen supplies, organization, kids decor and bedding. read more

HomeGoods has been a place that I have enjoyed visiting for a while, as you never know what fun things you will find. On a recent visit; however, what we found was not as "fun". We had went to HomeGoods in search of a "bed in a bag", and were so overjoyed to find one for the wonderful price of $40. That was another thing we have loved about HomeGoods - their great prices. Anyways, the packaging said that the "bed in a bag" included a pillow, comforter, sheets, and a dust ruffle. It was the only one left, and it happened to match the bed size. When we got it home, we found great disappointment, as the bag only had sheets and a dust ruffle. We assumed that the set was purchased, and before being returned, the pillow and sheets were taken, leaving us with only the comforter and a dust sham, which was "helpful" (not). It was very sad also, because the bag appeared puffed out. I was not the one who opened it, as it was for my poor aged grandmother's aid, after she had just gotten released from the hospital due to a stroke, but I truly hope that someone did not fill it with newspaper to create a false image. Just imagine paying $40 for a lie, especially after being exhausted from an emergency situation, and feeling so fortunate that you had found solace when you don't have much time to purchase a "bed in a bag". The underlying message here is to CHECK THE PRODUCT IN THIS STORE. Sure, you shouldn't have to ravage through something, throwing the contents onto the floor to make sure you are getting what you are told, but I suppose you have to in this store. HomeGoods, you've been great in the past, but this was truly a saddening experience. My tip for HomeGoods employees: check your products, and sell truthfully. read more

So many items. Good prices too. Went in specifically to get some food items, like vinegar, jam, candy... Nice selection. This store has a different layout than some of their others. The shelves are a bit deeper, are sectioned and are not metal. Seems to make it a little easier to find things and has a more upscale feel than the large racks in the other stores. The dishware is nice, but they don't have enough of any one type to stock your kitchen. I like that it's open stock because I don't need the cups and saucers, but there aren't enough of any one pattern to buy 8 or 12 dishes. Plenty of cash registers open. No waiting. read more

Fantastic store, better selection on rugs, lighting and furnishings than Jersey or New Rochelle stores. Parking lot is easy to navigate and the store is always clean and well organized. Lines move rather quickly and returns are easy. One minor detail setting up home delivery is not fun. read more

I have to say that I can spend a good couple of hours at Home Goods browsing throughout the whole store. There is so much there to see. My favorite department would be where they have all the dinnerware, fancy bowls, silverware, tablecloths and table runners. I always find something to purchase, like a nice tablecloth. I will never go back to this store. I have been to multiple different HomeGoods locations. The middle aged manager who seemed to be doing absolutely NOTHING but be rude was up front directing lunch breaks. I came up with 3 carts full of stuff to purchase and asked for a discount on broken gates and he marked it down 10 dollars (fine with me but could have been more). I think had a lamp with no tag on it and he has a guy go get the price and they came back with the price for a lamp double in size (I said there is no way it was not even close in size, same pattern any everything just smaller) should have at least been 10 dollars left. Instead this so called manager decided to tell me he gave me a good price on the damaged dog fence and that the lamp price was what it was. NO WAY. Even if they said it was 5 dollars less then the same one double the size I would have bought it. So I told the to keep it. He was arguing with me saying that was price even though he didn't even go to see himself. He was too busy up front twiddling his fingers. LAZY. RUDE. useless. I spent about 700 dollars so if he could have spared 10 dollars he would have had a retuning customer. Instead, I will NEVER be back. He knew he was wrong when he went into the back to hide after why I questioned him since he didn't want to check himself. Didn't want to do his job. years ago this used to be a toy store, now it's a homegoods. these stores all have pretty much the same stuff, but this one seems to have a pretty big furniture section compared to other area homegoods. discount stuff for your house, a good selection of gifts and kitchen wares too - if that's what you seek, it's worth checking out. read more

I usually go to Homegoods 5 or 6 times a year. It is close to Fairfield where I live. On Sept 9/26/14. I bought several items when It was time to pay, the cashier started to put her hands inside of my sheets sets, made me feel like I was hiding something. Today I decided to go back to the store to buy a mirror and return one of the items and the cashier gave me a bad attitude after the return I went to get the mirror and went bach to the same cashier and she told me with a sarcastic way if I was returning the mirror, sugesting that I was trying to steal returning something that I did not pay. Homegoods in westport made me feel that I was not one of usually customers, maybe because of my race. Employees should be trained so they do not make their customers feel uncomfortable.
