An RN would arrive once a week for prescription refills and care givers would handle transportation to and from her doctors appointments and other errands she needed to run. After January 2021 until her passing in May of 2023 the quality of her care decreased dramatically. - Caregivers were no longer consistent. - Her medications for the week were no longer organized and filled by a nurse. Not only was this performed by a non-medical professional it was consistently billed as such. - She began to have young care givers, not even 20 years old, accompany her to appointments. Often care givers would be late, not show up, cancel her doctors appointments. - Often received bills for services not rendered. - Received calls from two of her former care givers that were no longer with the company expressing their concern for her wellbeing. They were concerned because they had grown close to my mother and would still visit her on their free time. The last two points about billing and the calls I received expressing concern for the quality of care she was receiving was early 2022 a few months before her passing. At the time we did not pursue those complaints as they had previously been voiced and we were in the process of finding a new care giver service. Sadly my mother passed shortly. 6 months after her passing I received a phone call from their owner Jim demanding that my brother and I pay a bill of $350. I was accused of ignoring his calls (which I never received) and he threatened to sue me because now that my mother has passed it is now "her kids" responsibility. I informed him that this is NOT the way the law works. I also told him that there is a legal process to submit a claim to her estate but this was absolutely not the way. The vile tone and empty threats were shocking and in no way how someone in the health care business should conduct themselves. I can't believe I would need to tell their CEO this. We are now filing official complaints to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. At best Dedicare is unethical. Stay clear.

My mother had dementia and lived in independent senior apartments. Lisa, the Director, was my mother's main caregiver, and she is a very caring Christian woman. She has a way with the elderly and always shows them love and respect. All the seniors were my mother lived absolutely Love Lisa and her staff. This team did their job and kept in communication with us whenever anything changed, or things were needed. Even though my mother didn't always remember everything, the staff set up helpful reminders for her. Lisa, the Director, set up a wipe board and large-print calendar. This was used to help my mother know when someone would return, her daily schedule, and who had been there. This team of caregivers was a great blessing to our family. My mother is gone now, but I just want people to know there is someone out there you can trust to give their whole heart into caring for your parent. Caring for a parent is not easy but knowing there are people like Lisa and her staff at Stewardship In Homecare who show love and a caring attitude in all they do is a breath of fresh air. Lisa always says it is God and not her because he is the one who made it possible for her to be here. I believe her because you can see she actually cares for her clients. Now, fast forward to a week ago. I have since moved out of state, and am trying to get the records. I called her office and the lady i spoke to was very nice, but stated that since it was so along ago, she would have to partner with the dr and someone would call me monday (i had called in on a thursday.) it is now friday, and i had not heard a call back. I called them and this time the lady i spoke to was rude. She told me she cant find my infortmation and i explained that i needed my results ASAP. I understood it would take time but i wanted follow up this time. She was snooty but said ok. After a minute, i called back and asked if it was possible for them to call the place i got it done and get the results to which she stated and i quote "heres the thing, were seeing patients right now and i dont have time to look at this stuff. When i do i will let you know something." This is unacceptable to treat someone trying to get their medical records from your office which you are MANDATED to keep for much longer than three years. I would not reccommend going here to anyone, even as a last resort.

Unfortunately the clinic manager and billing company incorrectly submitted my medical billing since 2023. I have repeatedly requested an itemized billing statement and have been repeatedly denied. I have repeatedly requested to speak with billing and have been repeatedly told that their billing company doesn't speak with patients. I have never received a bill from this clinic. I have never received an EOB from my insurance company. Diane the office manager told me today that I owe about 3,700 before I can make another appointment. I was given no notice and no bill until today. Durand the clinic manager told me that my insurance company has denied payment. This is incorrect per several high level employees at my insurance company who have stated that their billing billing was submitted on 3/21/25. It's in review. There has been no denial. The clinic manager abruptly withdrew no notice, no bill and no continuity of care told me that I cannot come back for treatment. This is patient abandonment. I really hope Dr. Kitzmiller sees this because I find him to be an excellent and ethical provider. I doubt that the medical providers are aware of this situation which is happening to other patients.
