I don't really understand the hate here. Is it your typical car sales place? Well Yeah! If you buy a used car and don't have a mechanic, check it out. That's really your problem. It is a used car and there's usually a reason people trade them in. I personally have not had any issues with them in the past. It's a nice place and everyone is always friendly. I purchased one car from them and have use the service department quite a lot over the years. The service department has always treated me very well. I am still thoroughly enjoying my 2024 Mustang Premium Bronze Edition. My only gripe with this car is the paint. That's more a Ford problem. It looks quite a bit different from when I bought it a little over a year ago. My Car Now .... I have added a supercharger, alot of carbon fiber, and lowered it. RUNNNNNNNN AND DONT LOOK BACK. I purchased a BMW X3 and Albert was really helpful. The truck was at another lot down the street and it was advised it was there because they were doing inspection on it to make sure the tune up was done and brakes and etc was good and that it was nice and clean and I was assured it was no issues with it. After test driving it I noticed the coolant was low so Albert made sure the coolant was topped off. 2 days later the coolant light was on so I took it back and they took it to BB's Euro and it was found that the radiator hose had a hole in it and yes they fixed it. I'm not a high highway driver so when I did get on the highway and went over 60mph there was a shake to it. I took it back and they balanced and rotated the tires. Ok so after that day 10days later my check engine light come on. At this point I've only had the car for 3 weeks. I did purchase the extended warranty they offered for an additional $3000 because I was told it would every almost everything engine and transmission wise and in a foreign car it seemed like a smart thing. So they informed me to take it somewhere that takes extended warranty. I took it to Dr.Bimmer and got an estimate and it came out to be $4,500. The spark plugs and ignition coils was completely burnt (how was that possible when I was told the car had just had a tune up by my sales rep) I also needed motor mounts, a battery and a upper control arm. Of course nobody wanted to address the issue at the dealership that I had been lied to on the maintenance that had supposedly been done. They then wanted to say well it's a used car and etc. so they warranty they sold me only covered the control arms. They called me and emailed me everyday begging me on the sale on how it was a good car and to make a deposit so nobody would get it. It was nice friendly faces all the way up until they got my money. They had the ability to do right because used car or not from a dealership like Homer Skelton we shouldn't have to get a tune up and motor mounts less than a month after purchase especially after being told there was no problems and it just gotta out of inspection and being tuned up and brakes checked and etc. please save your money and go elsewhere if you are buying used read more

I bought my 2021 Bronco Sport in May of 2021. I have not had one positive experience with this dealership since that time. The vehicle was not ready when they said it would be. We ordered $500 worth of extra accessories at the time of purchase, but the service department never actually placed the order so it took 6 months of constant complaints to finally get the accessories. We have tried to use the service department for maintenance and recalls but that is a nightmare as well. They are very rude and act like you are putting them out when you try to schedule service. I brought my 2018 F150 for a basic oil and filter change and a tire rotate and balance on Monday, Feb.26, 2024. I left the truck for the day and picked it up the following morning. When I met with the cashier (she was actually another service rep. since the cashier doesn't come in until 8:00am as she explained) the next morning and reviewed the paperwork I realized the tire balance was not performed. My truck is still under a premium maintenance plan which I purchased and was she told the tire balance is not part of the plan and would cost approx. $62.00. If the service rep. who checked me in (Joseph Johnson) would have called me and explained the issue I would not have hesitated to get the balance done, so when I asked why I wasn't notified she said Joseph is relatively new and still needs trained in certain areas. Then I noticed on the service report that my windshield wipers were replaced, well this is where the communication breakdown starts to kick in. I explained to Joseph the prior day when I dropped off the truck that I do not want the wipers replaced since I recently paid $53.00 for a premium set of Bosch Icon wipers and did not want a pair of basic generic wipers, this is the same as throwing $53.00 down the drain, what more needs to be said. I then walk out to my truck and immediately notice my truck was in the parking lot overnight, unlocked. I looked at the vehicles on both sides of mine and realize those vehicles were locked, I just shake my head, fortunately nothing was disturbed inside the cab. Finally I get home and park the truck inside the garage. Let me just say that my truck has a number of upgrades and modifications and I keep this truck extremely well maintained and is garage kept every day, no exceptions. At the most, it is driven 3 days a week and for a 2018 it has only 36,565 miles on it. This truck has no scratches or blemishes and is meticulously maintained. I look at the tires since they were rotated and immediately noticed the lug caps were all scratched from the air gun socket, I was infuriated. This 5.5 yr old truck does not have a scratch and now some careless, irresponsible service tech. (name is Aaron Daugherty) does this. There is no excuse for this and they could have at least told me the caps were all scratched.....they said nothing. I called the service dept. that afternoon (Tuesday, Fe.27) and asked to speak with Jeff, the service manager, and was told he was at lunch and they would give him the message to call me back. I did not receive a return call so I called again on Wed., Feb.28 and left another message. Today is Thursday, Feb.29 and I still have not received a return call. This type of service is totally unacceptable and to not even receive the courtesy of a return call is completely disrespectful. I am not a person to write reviews but when I am disrespected in addition to having damage done to my truck and disregarding the instruction I gave regarding my wipers, I will now escalate this matter to ensure no one else hopefully will experience the treatment and disrespect I received. I'm sure if this happened to one of the Homer Skelton employees then they may understand my position. As I stated, this issue will certainly be escalated, and trust me, the dealership will definitely be taking steps to rectify these circumstances. I am not one to sit back and take this type of abuse, enough said. While I am very happy with my Ford Product, the Service Department could not be more disappointing. My LAST experience was a scheduled appointment to replace a side view mirror. Originally I was told this would take an hour to complete. 2 hours later having heard nothing I walked out to the service drive where I was told everyone was in a meeting...Really? I literally stood there for 45 minutes for the advisor to come out and say..."We ordered the wrong mirror"... I've waited on this review for a few days and I still cannot fathom how you have a returning customer, for a timed appointment, wait 2.5 hours before you even open the box for the part you told him would take an hour to replace!! The fact I did not explode right there at that moment tells me I'm a pretty level headed customer. The fact no one has called me since about this incident tells me there is no oversight or accountability in the Service Department at Homer Skelton. My mother had received an invitation from Mr. Chapman to visit the lot and check out the vehicles. We were headed out of town, but true to her word she'd visit upon our return to town. Mom had given up on the idea of getting a new car, but Robert was courteous, patient, and worked with her. What started as a courtesy visit to say thanks, but no thanks turned into a tour of the certified preowned cars. It was then that Robert asked "what kind of car are you looking for?" With a vague description, he showed her a vast selection of cars, but he had "the gift" of finding the "right car" at the "right price". The Finance Department took our old car as trade in and had all the "bells and whistles" (like the Sync feature for the Cell Phone) set up for Mom before we took possession of the car. Let me preface this review by saying working with Aubrey and Eric Cash was an excellent experience. My experience with Homer Skelton as a whole though, specifically Roland Boughton, the finance guy we worked with, was AWFUL. My family has purchased two vehicles now with Homer Skelton and we will never do that again. They apparently gave me $1K more in rebates when I signed the paperwork for my vehicle and waited over a week to contact me about THEIR mistake saying if I wanted to finance through Ford, it'd be an extra $1K I'd have to pay. If I realized I'd paid too much for my vehicle, they would've laughed in my face but because THEY made the issue, I was expected to pay for their mistake. The rebate issue isn't even my biggest complaint. Roland was EXTREMELY rude and condescending throughout the entire process, pointing fingers at the woman that put the numbers in even though HE was the manager in charge of looking over the numbers and helping me sign on the dotted line. Furthermore, when I told him yesterday how I didn't appreciate him talking down to me on the phone the day prior, he said he was just yelling at me because I got upset with him first. When we finished signing the paperwork AGAIN at his desk yesterday, he couldn't even be bothered to stand up and shake our hand or apologize for the inconvenience. The lack of customer service I've experienced from Homer Skelton is insane and I will never recommend this dealership again. After multiple unreturned calls to the service department, I contacted my sales guy. He set me up with a service advisor. That service advisor would still not return my calls so I just set up an appointment online clearly stating my issue. I tried to call the service department 2 days before my appointment to ensure I wouldn't waste a trip for them not to have the part. We purchased a used van from here and we liked it and bought it Saturday afternoon. The van had roughly 144,000 miles on it. The wife woke up Sunday to go to church and oil smoke came out the tail pipe and it had a few other minor issues that made us feel uneasy about the purchase. We contacted our salesman Sunday and he told us we could bring it back Monday. I thought for sure it would be a hassle. After walking in the door, I was out of there within fifteen minutes. I was previously VERY happy with my experiences with Homer Skelton. But a recent situation has shown me that they are interested int he sale. But when there is a problem after the sale, they go 'ghost' on you. I emailed my sales rep about a bogus promise he made during the sale. I got no response. Days later, I called him and verbally spoke to him about the issue. He was to call me back after fumbling through the phone conversation. I emailed the company on yesterday and received a response that the General Manager would get involved and get back with me. It's been 24 hours later, no response and no resolution. All of this stemmed from a promise of a 2nd key for my son's car (since he has the car at college and has the only key in the event he accidentally locks the key in the car). The sales rep said there was only 1 key, but when asked again he said Homer Skelton could provide a 2nd key. Great. My wife and I signed the form showing they owe us the key. Somewhere between the application with the salesman and finalizing paperwork with the credit manager, that form was conveniently removed. When I looked through my paperwork 2 nights ago, it's when I realized the paper was conveniently not there. However....when I talked to the salesman and emailed him, there was no response from him indicating that "I never said that". So...with his silence, refusal to call me back, and now no follow up from the dealership, I KNOW what happened. We were lied to because he thought our not getting a 2nd key would be a deal breaker. He told us what he thought we wanted to hear while underhandedly making sure the promise form we signed would conveniently disappear. Unscrupulous! Furthermore, my last request to the dealership was to be honest: if we can't get a 2nd key from them at LEAST tell me what I need to do. Can I get a blank and simply have one made at a hardware store? Of is there a programmed chip in the key that needs a dealership to do it? No response. I have bought several cars from Homer Skelton Ford and Hyuandai. I work in a service related job and bad customer service is a pet peeve of mine. My wife and I resolved that we will probably trade our cars in until we're closer to retirement every three to five years. I sang the praises of Homer Skelton in the past. But now I see that their service seemingly is only until AFTER the loan is finalized....then they show that their "caring" is only to make a sell....by any means necessary. We drove from Missouri to Mississippi to look at and ultimately buy a 2020 F150 from Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, MS. The experience while we were at the dealership (test drive, paperwork, asking questions, etc) was extremely smooth. So smooth in fact that we rated our salesman with 5/5 stars on their website. He & the finance manager we worked with answered all of our questions and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We believed they were answering all of our questions honestly and to the best of their abilities. However, the experiences we have had with the dealership after purchasing the truck have been 2 stars at best. Since we left the dealership with the truck there have been things that have come up and it turns out our salesman and the finance manager were telling us the answers to our questions that we wanted to hear, instead of telling us the truth. Their top priority was to smoothly make the sale no matter what they had to say to make it happen. The one thing we were promised and that we got was a full tank of gas before we left with the truck. This was written down in our paperwork so this promise was fulfilled. We were told this truck had a 3.73 rear end gear ratio. We were told this in text (we still have proof) and our salesman verbally confirmed this during the test drive. After returning home with the truck, we realized the truck has a 3.55 rear end ratio, as displayed on the rear end label. The salesman obviously did not know what he was talking about when he was answering our question and just said what we wanted to hear. We were also promised by our finance manager while at the dealership that he would overnight us a second 7-day temp tag when our first tag was due to expire. This was needed because all of the paperwork from Mississippi would not be ready for us to register the vehicle in Missouri for 2+ weeks. He told us twice he was working on it and getting it sent. We then went above him to a manager who had said there were no requests for us to get a second temp tag and he himself was the one who overnighted it to us. While at the dealership we were also told by both our salesman and finance manager that our spare key would be mailed to us after all of the loan paperwork was completed (~ 2 weeks). Two weeks pass, the loan paperwork is all completed and we never got a spare key. We reached out to the salesman, finance manager and the manager we had dealt with previously. After being given the run around from the finance manager and the other manager, stating "they'll look into it and get back to us", our salesman was finally the one who asked who promised us a spare (he did, verbally, as did the finance manager) and then proceeded to say that he would never tell someone there is a spare key if there isn't one listed in the spreadsheet. So apparently, we will not be receiving a spare key after all. We also were promised floor mats. While we were pulling out of the dealership with the truck, we noticed there were no floor mats. We asked for floor mats and our salesman said basically, "what you see is what you get" and then asked if we wanted him to take floor mats out of a different truck they still had for sale on the lot. We obviously said yes. He told us he had to finish up a trade-in but had us park next to another F150 for sale. This was about 30 minutes prior to the dealership closing and we still had a 3 hour drive home. We sat there until they closed and all of the employees were leaving the dealership and driving past us. Who was the last person the leave the dealership and drive right past us, sitting were he told us to park? OUR SALESMAN. So, we waited around for absolutely nothing. He never contacted us to apologize, to say that he forgot we were waiting, nothing. All of these verbal promises were made and since it wasn't written down, the dealership is not required to make good on any of them! And obviously, this dealership won't. If you take one thing from this review, please let it be to MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS WRITTEN DOWN! We have unfortunately learned our lesson the hard way. read more

My truck was broken into recently lock cylinder damaged. Got a quote from Mt. Moriah Ford for 320.00. Called local Homer Skelton to see if they would match the quote. Day 1 requested quote. Day 2 called back to check on quote, had to set up another request. Day 3 spoke to MATT whom after 2 minutes put me on hold and let go to voicemail after 10 mins holding. Attempted to call back and would not return call. Finally got in touch with JEFF(awesome guy!) who got my quote set up for $320 but I would need to pay for a $60 part + tax up front. Between parts and payment the part went up to $186 plus tax bringing my total to around $600. This place is awful! 1 car in service bay and everyone sitting around drinking coffee especially MATT! I've never been treated so poorly by someone I had already spent money with. You sign the contract, and all of the sudden you are dead to them. I get treated better at Wal Mart. Not keeping promises. First of all let me just say customer service is everything. I mentioned to a coworker of purchasing a vehicle. She recommended Homer Skelton Suzuki for that is where she purchased her cars and she gave me the name of her salesman. I called him and after a couple phone conversations about my credit situation he told me to come by. I went by after work and I again told him about my situation I he said no problem we can help. I filled out a partial application and I guess he ran everything through to see if he could get me financed, in the mean time he asked me to go look around to see which vehicle I was interested in. When I returned he asked me to make myself at home and he'd be with me shortly. After about 20 minutes he came out and said he needed to try a couple more people to try and get it financed and that he would call me and let me know. Three days went by with no phone call, the fourth day I called him and he said let me try something else and that he would call me back. That was almost 2 months and still no call. I understand if he was not able to get me financed but at the least he could have called me back and told me that so I could have started to explore other options. To me that's very poor customer service practices but I guess that how they operate. read more
