Located in a huge plaza in Smyrna, Doc Green's is a salad lovers dream. I can't believe this was my first visit! The restaurant itself is narrow but long, offering plenty of seating in the back of the place, as well as the entryway. Doc Green's is actually paired with another restaurant it seems, but I was focused on the salad. They have some recommended combos but you can also create your own with a wide array of toppings. I was in heaven looking at all of the fresh veggies, proteins and dressings available. I decided to create my own and just went wild. I was super bummed because I ended up forgetting some favorites (like avocado) because I didn't see/notice them on the cold bar. I chose my dressings, had it mixed up and then checked out. I opted for a fountain drink and unfortunately, the lemonade was toooooo sweet. But that was the only downside because my salad was wonderful!! Everything was fresh, the portions were generous and I felt like I got my money's worth. Service: No complaints about the service. Despite the busyness, I didn't stand in line for anymore than 5 - 7 minutes and probably waited less than 10 minutes for my order. Pricing: Pricing was very reasonable, with drink pricing ranging from about $4 - $8. From what I could see for food options, prices were all under $15. Food/Drinks: Regrettably, I skipped the food this time and only tried an iced matcha. They had a summer version called the Tropi Coco, which combined toasted coconut, coconut milk, and coffee or matcha. However, I don't think the Matcha version included toasted coconut, at least not the one I tried. Unfortunately, the drink didn't quite hit the mark for me. I mostly tasted coconut milk, with some Matcha flavor, but the flavors didn't blend well. Perhaps it was a matter of the ratio. My sister ordered the same drink and experienced the same issue, although hers seemed to have even less Matcha than mine. While I'm not sure I'd get the Matcha again, I'm still open to trying some other menu items. The empanadas and tasty looking Colombian treats were calling my name, so I'd like to go back and give them a try! I'd imagine if you're a coffee lover you'd want to give their Colombian coffee a try though!
