This was my first visit to Rev Coffee, and I immediately appreciated its welcoming neighborhood feel. One of my favorite weekend traditions is exploring a new coffee shop every Sunday somewhere around the city, and this week I decided to give Rev Coffee a try. While I didn't order any food, several menu items looked tempting and worth trying on a future visit. I ordered the Iced Banana Pudding Latte, and it was delicious. What stood out even more was the customer service. The staff had genuinely positive energy, and the cashier was especially helpful in sharing his thoughts on the different drinks I was considering before making my choice. As someone who enjoys writing and working from coffee shops, my only suggestion would be a larger bar-style workspace for laptops and those of us who like to stand, pace, and type while working. It wasn't a deal breaker by any means. They also don't offer a military discount, but that's fairly common and never something I expect when visiting a coffee shop. Overall, I had a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting, the coffee was enjoyable, and the staff made a strong impression. I would definitely recommend Rev Coffee, and it has earned a spot in my regular rotation of coffee shop adventures. read more

Well, gave them another shot because we were on our way home from a trip and it was convenient. I upped my review to 3* only because I do actually like the taste of their coffee. It tastes freshly roasted and just better quality. That being said, they clearly didn't take my recommendation at all. Hubs ran in as I was feeling off. Been that way since radiation. Oh well. Anyway, he ordered Mr. Peanut and crème brûlée (crème brûlée is my favorite dessert to the extent he made me some just last week, from scratch! I have the best husband!). If you are going to call it crème brûlée at least make it sweet like the dessert is. This always tastes like coffee and milk. Mr Peanut has an after thought of peanut. It was sweeter than the CB. lol which doesn't make much sense to me, but whatever. It was decent but again, we want to taste the flavors. Wish they would make their own syrups. I drive out of my way for good coffee shops that make their own syrups. I am in that area often so maybe next time I order differently since I have established I do like their coffee, just not the drink recipe. For that, I'm not docking them. Rev in Smyrna is a cute little spot to grab a coffee, pastry, and breakfast or lunch option (depending on the time of day). I'm writing this review after trying this place out after both breakfast and lunch times. The interior is quite big with plenty of tables, but beware that this place can get packed. Quick! It's quite the spot to relax with a book, or park yourself to do some work on your computer. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but there are surrounding areas to park that aren't near the front door. On our first visit the staff was quick to make recommendations on pastries when inquired by my husband and I. Similar to our second visit during lunch. We have ordered latte's and matcha's and both have been tasty. The food apart from their Adult Lunchable is made to order. This location also has merch to represent their style. I've tried Rev Coffee a few times and have to give it an excellent review overall. The place is usually pretty crowded, but they do a great job at servicing customers quickly, so the pace is still faster than most coffee shops. Baristas are very nice, and the coffee is top quality. I don't enjoy their decaf blend - it's been bitter in the few drinks I've tried, but their caffeinated "Nine" espresso blend is top notch. It's dark with hints of peanut butter and slightly sweet, no bitterness at all. I love their espresso straight up, in an Americano, or with a touch of milk in a cortado or flat white - all have been excellent. Summary: Amazing vibe, decent lattes, long hours. I've only tried their lattes, which I'd give a 6/10 - easily drinkable, but nothing special. The barista's recommendation was the fall latte. It's flavored with dried orange - interesting idea, but the flavors didn't go together in my opinion. The Peppermint Latte's flavor was faint. I wanted a refreshing mint kick, and it didn't hit. The vibe is what makes Rev unforgettable. It's cozy, lived-in, and familiar. I came twice on a Monday morning and saw the same exact people. The place reminds me of Central Perk from Friends in the way that its a perfect go-to hangout spot. Soaking up the environment was a positive and relaxing way to start my day. Something else that kept me coming back is that unlike any other cafes in the area, it's open early and closes late. However, there's only one bathroom, and with this being a quite popular cafe the bathroom only gets worse as the day goes on. By the afternoon, it's definitely not a bathroom-break destination. Always runs out. Staff seem to know their rolls and worked seamlessly. Plenty of parking , big cafe and interesting people come through. Get place to work, meet a blind date or go solo. Wow this place was super busy, which is always a good sign. I used to live in this side of town and they have been around for quite some time. Love that they have an online ordering option but disappointed that my order wasn't ready by the scheduled time. I definitely would not come here if you're in a rush. I did ordered a cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso and GF almond spice cake. The drink was wonderful and definitely gave me the jolt of caffeine I needed. Very cool coffee shop! I had an early morning meeting and Rev was recommended, and I see why. There is plenty of seating options inside and out. The staff was super friendly and efficient, moving through the mass of customers that worked their way through Rev while I was there. I had their tasty Cold Brew during the meeting, mostly because there were so many coffee drink options I went with an easy choice. After the meeting I jumped back in line to grab coffee and some food to go. I got both the Crème Brûlée and Mr. Peanut White Mocha & Peanut Butter) lattes (not both for me, although I tried both). I enjoyed the flavor of both. I also got their bacon quiche, which was okay but I may have waited too long to eat it, so that may be on me. But the Bacon Cheddar Biscuits, COME ON! The I only thing I didn't love about it was I only got one and it wasn't the size big enough that I didn't wish I ordered a dozen of them. Great place! read more

TLDR: 4/5 - Good coffee w loads of options, loads of seating, and loads of people talking in those seats. And if you can handle the general overstimulation of all 3 of those things then this is your next coffee spot. Let me tell you something: I've never seen a coffee place so packed - both with drink options, food options and just packed with people. We went a total of 3 times I think and got different things. Ordered: Espresso, Cortado, Blueberry Muffin, Chicken Sandwich The coffee here is quite good. I'm not a coffee snob but if the person who I was with does say its good then I'll believe them. The muffin was rich and moist. The chicken sandwich was also quite moist without anything on it as is, and filling. The establishment: 4/5 - They have a LOT of options. There's an array of coffee, drinks, and teas and then if you remember to look to the left there's more drinks (which include blended options). The long line was almost helpful in this sense to try and read it all. With that being said it could be too overwhelming for people. However, if you become a regular here you'd have different variations for months. - I appreciate the amount of food options they have. I feel like a lot of coffee spots give you a "concept" of food but to me if you want me to stay a while having some decent food other than a scone its a great incentive. Loved the adult lunchable like who thought of that! - They also have a ton of merch?? Is Rev a celebrity that I didn't know about? Vibes: ~~ Depends on the person~~ Its a really cute shop with plenty of space. The seating options aren't too varied: mostly high chairs and a sprinkle of low chair/tables around. The layout breeds a moderate to loud noise. Now I've heard its not always that loud but if you do not thrive in that I would not suggest staying a while. Otherwise I really liked it! I love Rev! Neighborhood staple that I come to often. The coffee is strong and they have lots of flavors to customize. This time I got the Matcha Latte with almond milk and it was delicious. Most places I go have a light matcha, this one was deep, rich, and a little sweet. It gets busy at times, but the staff are efficient and get through orders pretty quickly. There's plenty of parking in the back of the building. The bathroom is okay, it's only a single room but it gets the job. Great place to post up & get some work done. read more

I've had the pleasure of traveling and experiencing numerous local coffee shops across the country, but I'm lucky that my favorite one is where I live! You'll never find Rev empty, and that's for good reason. Coffee is delicious, and if you can find a table to sit at, a great place to sip and get some work done. If you come for breakfast, they have a great selection, including their delicious sausage egg and pimento cheese biscuit. Swung by Rev one morning before work started and ordered a Cortado, an Americano, and 3 bags of beans. There's a good amount of space to spread out and it's dimly lit which I appreciate. The beans I purchased were good with the holiday blend being my favorite. It had a nice mix of spices, sweetness, and smoothness. I ordered two coffees and hung out in the shop early one morning. The Cortado was hot and larger than a traditional Cortado. It was good, not overly bitter. The Americano was enormous and while I think most people would think they're getting a deal, it bothers me. The smallest americano they serve is 16oz, so I asked for a triple but only 8 ounces total and I would pay full price. They gave me 16oz after all that, leaving me with a watered down drink that I ended up tossing a quarter of the way through. A go-to for Espresso in Smyrna. I also got an Almond milk Cortado. Rev is a solid choice for espresso. The espresso doesn't have a rich flavor profile but it's strong, not bitter, and slightly acidic. Cortado is well balanced and they have oat or almond milk alternatives. They typically have different pastries every time I go but they always go well with the coffee and are not overly sweet, which I like. read more

Nothing like finding a coffee shop that's open was early as 6am and stays open late till 10pm! I got here pretty early around 6:30 and was surprised to see people already working and going in to get their coffee. I decided to go with a dirty chai and a chicken biscuit. I've had quite a few dirty chais before but really loved how this one wasn't too sweet and masked the taste of espresso pretty well. The chicken biscuit was okay, but I think the biscuit was quite tasty and so go back for just the biscuit itself. I was able to find a spot in the front easily, but there is parking in the back in case it gets too full. Next time, I hope to come back and stay for a bit because I loved the decor and ambiance of it. read more

In Chandler-style from Friend's "Can this place BE any more awesome?" Rev Coffee Roasters is totally my jam. It's a showcase of hipster love even before being a hipster became a cool thing. From the outside you wouldn't think this world of RCR exists. It's a converted large garage probably from an auto repair shop. Through the door you will find a huge open concept style cafe with tons of seating from high tops to couches to round tables. Something for everyone. This cafe is very inviting and just has a feel good vibe. It reminds me a lot of some of the cafes in Athens, GA...which is why I find this place to be so perfect. They make really good latte. Today I had a hot latte with toffee nut. Love the little latte art that's in each cup. I got the cookie and it was just ok. Others may like it but being a picky Cookie Monster (self proclaimed) it was not as soft and chewy as I like it. They offer cold, frozen, and hot drinks of coffee, lattes, espressos, and smoothies. Well, maybe not hot smoothies...but you know what I mean. The music they play is really my jammy jam! It feels like they are playing my iPod/MP3 playlist on repeat and I love it! Do people still use their MP3/iPod? (IPhone taking over the world). The wifi from my laptop is a bit spotty but fine from my phone. Hey, it's free so it is what it is. I visited Rev Coffee again this morning and tried a caramel mocha and the veggie quiche. They were pretty busy as usual; however, it didn't take long for my order to be ready. The caramel mocha was really good and I enjoyed the veggie quiche. My only complaint was what they serve the quiche in. It's a little hard to eat the quiche without it sticking to the bottom. I also wished the crust was on the bottom and not just a little piece on top. Overall, I did really enjoy the flavor profiles and my complaints are very minimal, just some personal changes I would like to see. Coffee and dessert is my love language! I have a new coffee crush! I always try an Americano w an extra shot, to find out if I'm going to like a place. If I don't love it, I will add a splash of cream to tolerate...Well, Rev...you passed the "like" test and may even have my heart! So so good! The Husband ordered a Dirty Chai and was smitten as well. The baked goods, are exceptional as well. We had the coffee cake and the brownie...both Yum! The vibe is perfect. There were several people "working" and a few of us, "date night" types. We were in Smyrna on Sunday afternoon and I decided to try the coffee at Rev Coffee. I have read several raving reviews about their coffee so we gave them a try. They are located in a mixed use commercial center that includes an auto repair shop so luckily that business was closed on Sunday. The parking lot was jammed with cars so I would imagine parking could be tricky during the week days! Upon entry we were greeted with most of the tables packed with customers drinking coffee and using the Wi-Fi to work, communicate and surf the web. There was an electric feel about the place as customers were standing around talking and coming and going with their coffee drinks. We queued up in a short line and were greeted by a friendly server who took our order. I decided on a Large S'mores as a hot drink. Asked them to nix the crumbled Graham Crackers because my better half is Gluten Intolerant. The coffee was pretty good. There is a display case full of sweet treats if you are so inclined to add to your coffee order. Cool atmosphere with good coffee offerings. Give them a try if you are in Smyrna. read more
