For a company this large, the way customers are treated after the sale is unacceptable. If customer satisfaction actually mattered, they would stand behind their products instead of making customers feel blamed and dismissed. Extremely disappointing experience, and I would not recommend shopping here. To make matters worse, Kate, who appears to respond to Yelp reviews on behalf of the company, publicly replied to my review saying she would help me and even provided her email address. I emailed her directly and never received a response. Shortly after, the company then reached out to Yelp in an attempt to have my review removed instead of actually resolving the issue. She emphasized that comfort is key and encouraged them to lay in the position they sleep in for 5 minutes on several beds. The one my parents liked was one of the less expensive mid tier models which was ok with Terri as comfort is what a matress is about. She had a lot of patience working with my parents and didn't pressure them in any way. She arranged for delivery the next day and explained to them City Mattresses exchange policy that if they didn't like the mattress they could exchange it within 60 to 90 days. If you are looking for a mattress I strongly recommend Terri at Wellington City Mattress. Mattress shopping can be a real hassle, but this experience was a real good one.

They try to add on warranties and protections, but you can easily decline if you like. Then they try to add on delivery and installation fees too, and you can decline those too. The delivery people will try to charge you again, and it's your choice how you handle that. To me, the extra costs were excessive and unnecessary. When I was ready to buy more furniture a couple months later, I contacted the same salesperson that helped me before. I purchased more furniture and he noted I didn't purchase the extra warranties and protections last time, and confirmed I didn't want them this time either. So I was surprised to see the emailed invoice included those extra charges. When I texted him about it I received no reply. I tried 3 times over two days and no response. I went to the Ashley website and chatted with customer service. They told me I should contact my salesperson. I explained that I had, with no response. They said they would send him an email and a correction would be made in 24-48 hours. That was not a sufficient response for me. They charged me immediately for services I specifically confirmed I did not want. If they couldn't immediately credit me for those charges, they could cancel the order - no need to deliver it. They told me to call the store for faster service and gave me the number. I called and spoke to someone who said the salesperson that took my order was busy with a customer. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the person that took my order was the only one that could make the correction, and he was busy with a customer. Apparently he was so busy with customers for 2 days he couldn't respond to my text messages. I was not connected to a manager and once again told he would call me back when he was available. Magically after my call he texted me back saying he would take care of it. I thanked him for the reply and asked him to confirm when the credit was completed. He replied "Done". No explanation or apology. I received an email showing the credit, so allowed the delivery. The delivery guy was awesome - so polite and helpful. However, charging people for services they don't want and making it difficult to get it corrected felt super shady. I take a dim view of businesses that operate this way and won't be making any further purchases from Ashley Furniture. Buyer Beware.

Well it's not even close to being like the couch in the show room, in fact sitting on the hard tile floor is more comfortable then this poor excuse of a couch! We have had now 4 supposed service calls where the service guy who comes out is rude, and argues telling us there is nothing wrong with it and we have to work it in. You don't work in a new couch, and it sure as hell shouldn't come broken, and not put together correctly. He proceeds to say Lazy Boy never makes mistakes the fabric is fine and so is the padding. Then proceeded to tell me that it had to be broken in to feel soft,and that the material used was harder then leather. This is the worst customer service, and company I have ever dealt with! My next call will be to the better business bureau as the problem has yet to be fixed. We have just been told they will put in for another service request, which leads to another unpleasant visit from their very rude service person. He just argues with you and says there isn't anything wrong with the couch. He is there for maybe 5 minutes before leaving with nothing solved or fixed. NEVER EVER buy anything from LAZY BOY!!!
