I have driven by so many times and heard about Hobby Lobby before making a first time visit. The place is huge and has anything imaginable in the way of a craft, decor, or downright something for a new hobby or two. If I had more time, I could probably spend the whole day there. There is so much stuff and lots of items discounted after a holiday. I'm sorry I didn't get there sooner since all the good finds are usually gone after a day or two after it goes on sale. It reminds of me of a clash between Michaels and TJ Maxx/Ross. There wasn't enough cashiers in the front at checkout, so the wait was longer than usual. Maybe it was short staffed or another reason, but it's all good since I wasn't in a hurry, which is unlikely at most times...lol. read more

Wowsa ! My first experience with Hobby Lobby. I came on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Figuring it would be slow. Everyone did Black Friday and holiday weekend shopping right? Nope. The store was packed with people. Since I had never been I had to ask several employees for items, but luckily it was easy to find employees and they were super eager and friendly with helping. Then you have to pay - I waited on line for almost 25 minutes with only a few people in front of me. When I got to the register I realized why. They do not scan their merchandise. The cashiers manually enter every single item by hand! The store itself was overflowing with merchandise that seemed a mix of Joannes, Michaels, and Home Goods all rolled into one. read more

Originally I went to Hobby Lobby to buy starry night themed paper backdrop for a pajama party that I was hosting. This location has its limitations because they cannot check items in their inventory because their computer system does not allow it. I couldn't find one I was looking for, so I asked the employee if the other location has it. She said they can't even check that either. End result I got another dark themed backdrop because I didn't want to waste time driving to another location. Hope they improve their technology to check items. Some positives-It's nice they have constant coupons if you are planning a party it's s good store to go to for some good deals. You can go to their website to get their coupon. Fall is almost here which means it's time to buy out Hobby Lobby. First there's Miami Carnival. You need feathers, gems, glue stick gun, sequin, and possibly a colorful wig. Then there's Halloween to create costumes. Thanksgiving for all that house warming vibe (even though I rather skip the uncomfortable sharing of a meal with family members that I avoided successfully for at least 10 months). I stock Pinterest then come here. I love going through every aisle and letting my mind wonder. Just don't forget to check the website before check out because they are always posting coupons. When I walked into Hobby Lobby for the first time I expected to see only hobby products like lionel trains, car sets, and so on. What do I know, this is a large arts and crafts store with almost anything you can imagine. What is also quite appealing is that most of their store items were on sale. Joyce is always so good to me ! Today was the third time I had to go back for help. The first time, I bought 4 storage bins and accidentally only took 1 kid home. I called and Joyce told me to come right in and get the other 3, no questions asked. Today, I bought a pack of paints, got home and used them and realized they weren't what I needed. Joyce apologized over the phone (even though it wasn't her fault lol) and told me to come on in to switch them out. I came in and asked some questions and she pointed me to Nick, who took me over to the proper paint isle and helped me find what I needed. I just discovered Hobby Lobby this year and I love going there. Thank you , Joyce. read more

Speaking of their furniture, home accents, and (some) seasonal decorations, Hobby Lobby has become a store with mid to high end prices for low quality products. Many of the items even appear to be of high quality, but upon further inspection are constructed or painted to look this way. It's truly unfortunate to see a store I once loved as a child lose their charm due to carelessness of product standards. Separately, their Christmas trees, ornaments, and some of their other Thanksgiving decorations (although few in choice) didn't seem to be as poorly designed. If I could give this store no star I would. I do remember now why I prefer Joannes over Hobby Lobby, customer service. The cashiers are so rude none of them ever smile or greet you. No personality what so ever. Even the female managers that stand next to them are not any better. Even with there mask on you can tell that there is no smile behind that mask, like robots. One time a female manager made a rude comment about a customer that she should be banned from the store because she always wants things for free. How can you talk like that when there are customers around , very unprofessional. I brought an item back the next day which was in good condition and still well backed and the cashier after I was told the day before that I can return it if I don't like it started arguing with me and wouldn't stop. Then I had another item and she told the manager right in front of me that she would not take it back but then of course she"s not the manager, and that is exactly what she said. I could go on and on how rude the people are in the front but don't have time for it. The manager is rude. She will walk right by you as a customer and not say a word or even smile. A simple hello or some sort of acknowledgement goes a long way. I only come here if Joann's or Michael's don't have what I need. read more

The store needs to have electric carts for handicapped customers. The store is too big for regular wheelchairs. I miss my visits there since have have become handicapped. I do not have an electric cart of my own. read more

This store must have had a good look at what customer service currently is lacking in most of Florida and made a point to be a premier retailer. It's easy to be like everyone else. Even easier to be a low quality service provider. Hobby Lobby on 441 in Royal Palm is fantastic to the point where I had to ask myself, am I still in Florida ? Jesse in the hobby dept was amazing. When you call, the phone gets quickly answered by someone who is articulate and transfers the call to another articulate and helpful person. In this case I had spoken with Jesse. Although the product was out of stock she told me about new deliveries each Monday. Fantastic! Will be back! read more

Only the second time I was in there. The Customer Service manager was rude and the cashier was more rude. The CSM pointed in the direction I needed to go and refused to allow her associate to show me where the items I needed were. The cashier rang up my purchase, left the packages on the counter and walked away. All in all it was a terrible experience. Will not return. read more

Always fun to shop at! In addition to art and hobby supplies they have beautiful seasonal home decorations. Right now you can purchase items for Valentine's Day and springtime. Also love how they have Christmas decor available all year round! The displays they set up in the middle of the aisles are eye candy. Besides the holiday items they have all kinds of every day decor. They have a huge floral selection great for crafting wreaths. And if you need a birthday gift this is the place to go. They truly have something for everyone. read more

I love this hobby lobby, they are very up to date with their items. Although it takes one person to ruin it all. Everyone else was very kind and helpful but if you would not like to have a distasteful shopping experience go to anyone else except for a women named Heather. She showed no interest in helping me with an item and was very rude. And before making sure I was being helped she went off to lunch. She made me feel very unwanted there. Typically Hobby Libby's have awesome inventory and really nice employees, however this location is much different. I had to return something that I bought just a week prior. The woman said that it was now 66% off and so I would only get $16 instead of the $49.99 I paid. I decided to walk around the store to find something for $16, and saw the item I wanted to return that wasn't marked down 66% like the woman had said. When I got to the register to check out I asked the cashier to verify the discount, since I was unable to find it. The manager then came over and very rudely said that that item had been out of their system for a year. That was a total lie since I had just bought and just seen it in their inventory. I was eventually able to exchange my item and only got 50% off instead of 66% which is better then nothing but still not what I paid. A few days later I went back to get a canvas picture... it had no price tag. I gladly walked over and grabbed one with a tag but the same manager took it and so she could "price" it for me. After she talked with employees and sat at a register for about 15 min. I walked over and asked if I could have the picture that I had paid for. She again, very rudely handed me the picture, w/o a tag. I would recommend avoided the manager, unless it is the male manager who is actually very sweet and keeping all your receipts. read more

Thought I'd give this place a try instead of the usual Michael's. One time was enough! They manually ring up every individual item. No scanners. This coupled with a store that just opened and newly trained (I guess) cashiers resulted in very long lines and people putting down purchases and walking out. The cashiers actually have to open a book and look up items to know what to enter in. Crazy! I won't be back! It's a shame, because I like their inventory, but I LOVE "good" customer service ..... read more

I drove quite a way to go to this hobby lobby ( I have a Michaels and a Joanns much closer. I asked an employee to get me a Cricut cartridge and she told me she could not that I would have to go to the front( usually in other stores they get it for you so you can make sure it is the right one and "they" bring it up to the register for you so you can continue to shop. Well after getting to the register and waiting and waiting and waiting they only had two registers open. It was my turn and a couple went in front of me. Finally they opened another register. The girl was sweet but had a hard time ringing me up and not knowing the sale items kept ringing them up without the discount. some items were on sale. Then she didn't have a clue how to get the cartridge for me when she finally did she just put it in the bag without confirming it was correct. Well I got home and after spending 130.00. The yarn I went there for was not in my bag!!! And the cartridge is the WRONG one!!!! I will have to go back ugh!!!!! read more
