Pretty cool store to check out if you are trying to organize your home. Whether it's for bathroom kitchen or office this is good spot to check out. My girlfriend purchased on of there office chairs and she loves it. We also got some of the recycling bins and other items to help tidy up our place. Pricing can be a bit expensive for some items. Have been a big fan of The Container Store and specifically the Elfa system. Free design based on your preference and needs. Drawings will be emailed to you so you can place the order whenever you want and especially if you want to wait until there is a promotion going on. Came to this location to have some shelves cut which was free of charge. It took only about 20 mins while we were looking around. There were some items on sale. Staff was friendly. In fact, there was an employee who helped get our stuff into our car and refused to be tipped. He said it'd be against the company's policy if he accepted the tip. Wow, now that is excellent customer service. If you are looking to better organize your home and/or office during the New Year, this is the place for you. read more

As mentioned previously, this Container Store gets most of my brick and mortar business. - I mostly place orders for pickup and it's always a smooth process. When you get into the store or are outside of the store, you can click on the pickup email link and someone will bring the items to you at the right door. I didn't have to do any pickup during the height of Covid. - Returns are also smooth. - Store is clean and well stocked. - We've gotten a few Elfa closets done. The DIY design tool online is very limited, you have to go into the store if you want more customization. If you've gotten a closet done and have some familiarity, it is faster to start your design online and "finish" it in store as they have more options and recommendations. This also helps to ensure you got all the measurements you need. Also love their Elfa door racks. - Their pricing is reasonable, for the quality. If you have their free rewards account, there are coupons periodically. For some items you can compare to e.g. Amazon and it isn't always more expensive if you account for shipping or convenience. I passed by here again recently. I love this store. I can spend hours here just daydreaming about how I can use the things here to reorganize my house. Then I see the prices. I love all the storage solutions that The Container Store offers. They'll fit about anything you need. I decided to have them look at doing my laundry room shelving, my pantry, and my master bedroom closet. The renderings were amazing. Beyond that they had someone come out and measure so I knew it was right. When I went into the store I worked with Finn and she was amazing. She was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. We went through what I needed, which lead to her making adjustments to the master bedroom closet and fully reworking the original plans for the pantry and laundry room. She also walked through accessories, finishes, and options. I was very pleased at what was drawn up and the pricing was reasonable. My only issue came at install. Everything was delivered on time the day before and everything was packaged and organized. The delivery company was very nice. When the install happened the next day the installer was on time and ready to work. I had prepared the areas so he could get straight to work (except the last part of the laundry room as I didn't want to leave detergent, bleach, etc out any longer than necessary with two dogs). I cleared this out while he did the bedroom. I noticed him bumping into things and being a little less than careful than I would've liked. The biggest issue came when I was putting items away and he absolutely crushed the top of my new dryer. When Finn and I went through the plans she indicated that they may need to adjust on site so that anything in the laundry room was within reach and nothing had to be climbed on/over. I was fine with that and actually would have left that shelf out because I had 5 others going in next to the dryer. However, he never consulted me and never said a word. I've filed a claim with install for the damage and Jessica at that line was helpful (I had actually also spoken with her the day before regarding delivery). She said it would be taken care of, but I'm disappointed that we've arrived at this point. I'm just hoping it gets resolved quickly. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star experience. If I had a million dollars... This store is soooo much fun. True, that sounds geeky and odd to someone who hasn't been there, but it's just like a big jungle gym for adults. My sister and I plan field trips here. It's pricey but some things you just can't find anywhere else. The prices and the parking lot (small and shared with a Starbucks) are the only reasons this did not get 5 stars. Tip 1: leave your credit cards at home. Otherwise you WILL abuse them. Tip 2: grab a cart. You may not think you need it, but just trust me on this one. Tip 3: don't go on Saturday afternoon. It's a zoo. Tip 4: don't miss an aisle just because it seems irrelevant. OMG, I was like a kid in a candy store here! Kind of embarrassing to admit that I was here for almost 3 hours looking at containers/storage with such pleasure. They have everything you need. Containers for things you never even knew existed! Price's are very reasonable, store is clean and spacious and their items beat out every other store that sells storage supplies. The staff here is beyond great. I had a saleswoman who literally spent about 45 minutes with me helping me plan a way to organize my vanity table. She was so kind and excited lol. They all love their job here. I wonder how organized their houses must be! Only gripe is that they don't have any large carts, just regular size carts. This sucks because almost everything here is huge and you end up having about 3 carts for 3 items! Quick tip: Leave a full cart by the register and put one of the "contain yourself, still shopping" signs on top of it. (How freakin cute is that sign?!). It may be a few dollars more than Ikea or Target, but the quality is pretty good and the products you find here are almost mind blowing. It's like who sat in the office inventing the gum-ball pill machine that rewards you after you take your daily meds? Now I'm just trying to decide if the reward should be a Xanax or Ativan.... I feel the need to write a review about my experience here because I can't be the only one who has faced this situation: Trying to build a new closet space. Stop at IKEA. Feel overwhelmed and sweaty by the confusing assortment of shelves and no one around to help. Leave IKEA. Feel defeated. This is how it went for me and so I decided on a whim to stop at The Container Store for ideas assuming I couldn't afford anything. Well, it's not cheap but I was lucky enough to catch the ELFA shelving on a 30% off sale and the customer service alone was enough to sell me. I walked up to the shelving area; was offered help by an employee. He asked for the dimensions of my closet space and said come back in 10 minutes. I came back in 10 minutes and my closet was designed and everything I needed was under $400 which I didn't expect. For an extra $180 they can come and install it in your house but my husband tackled the task and was impressed by how easy it was. While I haven't moved all my clothing onto said shelves yet to determine that they will work well, I was so impressed by the ease of the transaction I thought I should share. Everything is easy to find. But just in case that you need to ask anything, feel free to talk to one of the staff members. They are all quite friendly and helpful. They offer snowflake (red & white) one and two-piece gift boxes from $0.99 to $5.99. The white boxes are $0.99 to $3.99. They also carry premium (glossy) boxes that are sturdier. These run from $3.99 to $9.99. They have bright and classic tissue - $3.99 for 24 sheets. And they are big - 20" x 30" each. The premium tissue is $5.99 for 20 sheets. 3 oz. of shreds cost $2.99. The gift wrapping papers are absolutely gorgeous... and there are so many to choose from. But most are on the pricey side. A roll that is 12' x 30" runs for about $9-10. But the prices go as high as $15.99 for a roll that's 25' x 30". I have been here several times to find oddly shaped boxes and bins for various shelves and cabinet spaces to suit a specific function. They have everything. I've been waiting for an item I paid for in April 2021 for over 3 months. This was to be a pickup order and only half the order arrived. Each time I've visited the Paramus location, they cannot find my order, send me to a second desk, that person finds the order # and tells me the item will be in in 2 weeks...this has been going on for 3 months. This is really the fault of the company, not this location per se. When contacting on Line customer service they've now told me the item is in their warehouse; and if I call and cancel my order for pickup, they can ship my item and waive the fee. So I am being asked to do more work---call to cancel, replace my order and then will no doubt have to explain that the CS rep said I could have free shipping. If the product is in their warehouse, why can't they just ship it to the location I've been waiting to pick up from? It's paid for. Clearly they are not an Omni channel savvy company. And don't care about inconveniencing their customers. I will not buy another thing from this company. read more

Yay! I love the container store. The first time I ever went to one was in LA while I was on holiday. I can't remember what I bought but I do remember being really excited to look around at all the organizational tools. It is a bit expensive but if you are a neat freak who loves having a place for everything, it's worth a visit. I like to go here with a purpose and check availability and prices online before I go. That way I don't waste money or time. And, I only come here after I've exhausted my other cheaper options (e.g. Target, Ikea, Christmas Tree Shops) and haven't found what I'm looking for yet. The location itself is cleaned and well maintained, though it's annoying to have to navigate through horrible Route 17 traffic just to shop here. The staff is friendly and helpful enough. read more

Ohhhh, this store. I've heard beautiful things about The Container Store, but I've never been inside - until now. When I first walked in, I swear I felt my inner OCD swoon. The boxes! The hangers! The clean lines! The color coordination! I think I let a few tears of joy fall to my flushed cheeks. But, we were there for a purpose. My boyfriend needed luggage. I snapped out of my reverie & followed him to the luggage aisle. It took us a long time to track down an employee to help us with the luggage aisle. And by "a long time," I mean we walked back and forth through the store for about 10 minutes trying to get anyone's attention. Besides the cashiers, we only saw maybe 2 people on the floor - and they were either busy or trying to look busy. Once we flagged down an employee, however, our experience was great. She discussed the luggage with us, showed a working knowledge of the merchandise, and even climbed to a ceiling-height shelf to grab us another bag! We didn't end up buying any luggage, but we were very grateful for her assistance. We did buy a pair of those luggage folder things - you know, the ones that help you fold your clothes & pack them neatly. In total, three Eagle Creek packing items ran close to $70! OUCH. As beautiful as this place is, I'd probably think twice (or thrice) before coming here to spend my life savings organizing my closet. read more

Where does one begin? If you are a fanatic about organization then you'll love this store. You think of something that needs to be organized, you can find it. You may even find something and go "Hey, I didn't know they made this for that" and get one! I enjoy a good Container Store run. Their proprietary elfa system has helped me out in my bedroom closet and my garage. They run a %30 off sale from time to time on their elfa stuff, so keep your eyes peeled if you want to save money. Their prices are a little marked up though, so be careful. I bought a container there for $10 when a competitor sells it for $7. The difference may not seem like a lot, but in this day and age everything adds up. The Container Store is a blast in general. If you are looking to arrange or configure your home or space in any way you have a bunch of home decor options. The Container Store is excellent on many different levels. First of all the store and their products seem to reflect a very consistent corporate ethos of making life easier by keeping everything well managed in a relaxed non invasive manner. They have a HUGE collection of basic storage items all the way to some of the most innovative lil nick-nacks. Prices are very very reasonable. I do recommend taking a look at their ELFA line for storage. It's a simple, clean, well built storage concept that is highly customizable and very affordable. Best of all is the staff! These folks are very very dedicated to making all right and radiating a pretty pleasant customer driven concern. These people have drunk a lot of kool-aide! I worked closely with a guy named Gerald - he is THE MAN at making things happen. Ask for you and you'll be 100% set up! My advice is that you be certain to pursue very very clear instructions on building the units. The ELFA's are easy to build once you screwed it up the first time!!!! Pay very close attention to getting good direction the first time around and it will be a piece of cake from that point onward. Location is fine in Paramus, parking is plentiful and again, the customer service is excellent. If you are looking at revisiting organization systems and units for your home or work space you owe it to yourself to consult with the container store. read more

I do love their own brand of shoe and sweater boxes and will pay full price for them. They stack so nicely and are not awkwardly shaped like some storage containers.
