HomeSquare Pro took over for Lucci Electric, formerly of Wilton, Connecticut so we automatically became customers. We own a Generac portable generator. HomeSquare Pro performed annual tune-ups on our portable generator, including February 2026. In July we noticed that we had a yellow light on the charger unit for the battery for our portable. We called HomeSquare Pro and Kris O'Brien came out. For some reason, by the time he came, the lights had turned all green, indicating no problem. He mentioned that we might be interested in a battery back-up system for our solar system. We said yes, we are very interested. He was going to email some information to us but never bothered to do that. We then noticed that the light on our battery charger was indicating that we needed a new battery for our portable generator. We spoke with Kris O'Brien who indicated he would tell the office to order a new battery. We waited for 2 weeks and never heard back. We have collectively called the office and Kris O'Brien 3 separate times and no one has bothered to return our calls or even tell us if they ever ordered a new battery. We are now forced to try to find someone to help us out with this problem. If anyone is looking to use HomeSquare Pro for anything, our advice is DON'T!!! What we have experienced lately is definitely bad business practice and poor customer service. UPDATE AS OF JULY 24, 2026: Kris O'Brien contacted us and was so helpful. He offered to make everything right. It was extremely professional of him to do this for us. We apologize to him for the misunderstanding on our part. For anyone out there like me who doesn't have the skill for home repair projects, HomeSquare is such a valuable company to keep in your contacts. From the start when I placed a call to Kurt McKinney, the owner, to the final work and inspection of the tremendous job Mike Mansour did in plugging up part of the house which used to house an AC, the process was very easy and quick. Mike worked carefully and efficiently, and had everything ready to go once he got to my house. He was also very friendly, personable and easy to deal with. A real pro! read more

I am so angry, these people shouldn't be in business! Vice president Kurt McKinney came to look at our main problem, a kitchen cabinet door that wouldn't close right. My 91 year old mom asked him if it would fall off. He said no and we could still use it. Two days later it did, breaking dishes on the counter! We contacted Kurt, no apology. Another guy comes. He came days later and hours after the appointment time. His "solution" was to put screws in that would stick out of the cabinet! We said "no." Then he said that his specialty was painting! Next he said Home Square would send a cabinet guy tomorrow. No one ever came. Now I think that was a good thing. We got someone else who did a great job! Stay away from Home Square. I'm so happy we found HomeSquare. My wife and I are new homeowners in a new town, so when something goes wrong, we've got few places to turn. But when we called Marta to set up time with her team, we were lucky enough to have Dave and Christian help us out. Both of them consummate professionals: we experienced a leak in our new home that would have spiraled into a much bigger problem if it weren't for their ingenuity and handiwork. Plus, we hired them to install a slop sink in our basement, which required a lot of technical know-how. Dave came up with a genius solution and built us a system that works flawlessly. I want to commend Walter for the work he did for me this morning. He arrived right on time, a rarity, and completed the job in a timely manner. It involved removing a row of tiles from a backsplash without damaging other tiles, and I wasn't sure if it was even possible. Walter assured me it could be done and successfully completed the job. I have used Home Square twice in the last few months. The first time I needed a bathroom floor re constructed. The worker they sent was nice enough but not one with experience in tile work. He used about a one inch thick area of thin set which was not dry even after a week. They sent a second worker (their tile man) to re do this area of the floor. At least they stood by their work. But why didn't they send their tile man in the first place. I thought I would give them another try when I needed a door replaced. So I called them. They sent who? Their Tile man! He got the door up ok but unbeknown to me he ran into rot in the door jamb. He didn't tell me and proceeded to make this installation work. After working on the door jamb for about 2 hours He jammed small pieces of scrap wood into the rotted area.and called it done. Total time spent on a simple door install 6 hours @ about $75 an hour. Also they added a surcharge on the door,hinges and lockset. read more

I've used Homesquare for a couple of months now, and have been absolutely pleased with their work. From answering the phone to ACTUALLY showing up for the work needed, they have been ideal! Dave Young has been my project manager and Ive been very happy with his work ethic! From simple jobs, like hanging pictures to cleaning a garage, doing extensive electrical work, painting rooms and repairing my roof- I am so glad I found them! and would highly recommend them! Home Square did an excellent job of installing two grab bars through unusually thick tiles in our shower. They took time to advise us on the kind of grab bars and fasteners to get and the most helpful placement for the bars. They also installed a wall lamp and fixed another under-cabinet lamp. They were consistently attentive, professional, and a pleasure to work with. read more

After many disappointing experiences with other contractors over the years, a friend recommended that we use HomeSquare to remodel our bathroom. From the first meeting, it was quite obvious that HomeSquare was exceptionally professional and competent. They completed that job on time and on budget and we have subsequently used them for many other projects inside and outside our home. We also used them exclusively in our investment property which they've renovated and have been on-call for us to immediately respond to any issues raised by our tenants. They act as our property manager and perform all the landscaping and a wide range of other services to keep the property in good working order. They do excellent work, they follow up/keep us updated on progress and they charge a fair price. Unlike when dealing with other contractors in the area, we don't have to worry about an incomplete job or an unfair, inflated bill in the mail. They walk through the project with us upon completion and will return as needed in short order to tie up any loose ends. We trust them implicitly, would use them for any project in our main house or rental property and wholeheartedly recommend their services. read more
