It was really nice! The movie was very good, a definite hit! I would give it a solid B+. I just love Superman! DC comics. The EVO Homestead theater is huge! They even have a parking garage! They have games, snacks, restaurant, 15+ boiling alley, a fully stocked bar! The seating, chairs is amazing! It's reclining! Comfortable seatings, friendly service, excellent food, super good movie! All in all, we had a successful experience!

The MAIN reason why this place is even getting a 2-star is because of the service and attentiveness the bartender gave us. Other than that , this place is absolute garbage. Unfortunately ,this is the only theater near me in homestead with somewhat of an arcade section, and well I will tell you, also garbage. Do not even dare spend your money. The friend I was with decided to buy some credits to use to play games , and I'd say only 4 machines worked. She spent $50 on getting game credit, and how sad to know we couldn't enjoy the arcade more than 10 minutes. For someone who works in hospitality , this place needs to get it together .The managers here and ownership should be extremely embarrassed to work/own here. The entire place is a disaster , not clean at all. Be better and do better, I don't see this place lasting at all. Best of luck

This venue is exceptional!…read more I was invited by MAC, a local non-profit, to participate in the special screening of "A million miles away" in this Historic Theater. The venue reminded me of those intimate and welcoming venues we had back in the days. It is centrally located in downtown Homestead. You can't miss it. Its architecture will captivate you. If you have yet to walk inside, I recommend you do it. If is one of those places that hold history and should be experienced.

On March 1940, the theater burned down after a fire started on the stage causing a complete loss of the building. The replacement theater was an Art Deco building designed by noted national theater architect Roy A. Benjamin. It is noted as being the only Art Deco building in downtown Homestead. After operating for almost 40 years the Seminole closed its doors in 1979 due to financial trouble. More trouble was in store for this theater when Hurricane Andrew in 1992 ripped off the roof and nearly destroyed the theater again. In 1993, unable to make the repairs, the owners donated the dilapidated structure to the city. Historic preservationists began working on it to bring it back. In May of 2014 Homestead voters passed a bond referendum to give 5 million dollars to renovate the theater and turn it into a cultural arts center. Another $550,000 was awarded by two state grants. With the infusion of funds, a restored Seminole Theater was able to open on December 12, 2015 for a Grand Opening Gala, "A Night on Broadway." I love when a historic building is saved and repurposed for the arts. Especially when it is as gorgeous as this one. As I went by people were lining up for an evening performance. It is wonderful that dedicated preservationists were able to save this theater for people to enjoy today.

The soft drinks and popcorn is refillable which is great as food is quite expensive. They have a bar and a video game area. The seats were comfortable but don't recline which wasn't terrible but makes us consider other theatres that do have reclining seats. It looked clean but had a funky smell when you walked in. The reason I am only giving 3 stars is because of the conditions of the bathrooms. THEY WERE DISGUSTING! There was toilet paper all over the floor all the stalls were dirty(floor and toilet seats) and they smelled. I know the there are many people a day coming in and out but someone should check on them once in a while. I did not see a cleaning log like other bathrooms so I assume they are only cleaned at the start of the day? Some of the stalls were closed with tape on the doors. Every other area of the theatre seemed well kept, not sure why the bathrooms can't be too. This is an easy fix if management cares.

We went to this theater to take our 4-year-old to her first movie and saw the 12:45 showing of Moana. We had a great experience! I have to say I was impressed with the concession food lol. We went all out since it was her first experience. We did have to wait a bit for corn dog nuggets, but I was surprised at the large serving we received and how good they actually were lol. It was easy to book seats ahead of time and get to the theater. The seats were very roomy and comfortable, and everything was clean. Parking was easy to find in the parking garage (though I don't know how it would be at night). And my child had fun playing in the arcade area afterward too. My husband pointed out the bar which I hadn't noticed but will have to take advantage of next time. We also did not order any food to our seats which I guess is an option. I will say I was surprised that the previews lasted an entire 30 minutes prior to the movie. I don't remember them being that long before (be it in Regal or AMC). Nevertheless, we had no complaints and will definitely be back to this theater!
