This is a great local theatre ,Kamani, Jimmy, and Ginger and all the other employees are courteous and helpful

I ordered on the mobile app days in advance and selected start my order at 7:58pm. The staff took various in line orders and did not acknowledge me while I stand at the mobile order stand. Finally a staff member comes over and ask if I have a mobile order and what is it. He looks it up. After he slowly gets me my order and I provide various corrections, he states the hot food can be picked up at the other end. By 8:35pm I still don't have my order completed. I ask if there is a manager, I'm told there are two. One is the guy that was serving me. I asked about the timing on my order the manager said he doesn't track that because he isn't the kitchen manager. I ask for a refund and he comes out with food...while waiting for my delayed order to be addressed and another family is in line requesting ticket refunds because the sound went out in their movie. Otherwise the kiddos had a great time watching Michael and on Tuesdays the tickets are $6.99, so that is a plus. read more

Awesome theater! When I first walked in, I saw that it wasnt that busy. It was also really tidy and clean! I then went to the cinema for my movie. The quality was really nice. When i went to the bathroom after the movie it was also really clean. Overall I give this theater 5 stars. read more

This is my closest go-to movie theater. The pros are that it's close by, the seats are in good condition and comfy, the small ICEE is huge, it's generally clean, and the picture/sound of movies is on point. My ultimate favorite is that Tuesday's are discount fares so you can watch a movie for $6 and some change. I normally go on Tuesday early afternoon and you have the whole room to yourself The so-sos: this is generally a warm theater regardless of which room you get (so forget the cozy sweater experience and embrace Florida weather indoors). The parking isn't great and you should get there ahead of time to score a decent spot. The theater is at the mall so on prime time there's tons of people. Dire need of improvement: management in this location is horrid and needs an overhaul. It cannot be emphasized how poorly this theater runs. I've been coming here for over 6 years and it doesn't fail that the concession stand takes over 20min to get popcorn or candy (even if it's only 3 people on the line). The staff is generally unenthusiastic anywhere in the theater, but are gradually rude in concessions. The ticket machine outside or online app doesn't generally process the correct price for tickets at this location on Tuesdays so be prepared to make the slow line outside. All in all, this is a theater you go to watch a movie in a big screen and smell the popcorn coming in. If that's all you need then you'll have a great experience! Focus on anything else and you might come out regretful. Nevertheless, it's a management issue as the conditions of the theater are in top condition. read more

So they have you select your seats when you purchase a ticket which is a great idea for the purpose of enforcing social distancing. The problem is that when people come in to the theater they sit wherever they want and no one comes in to check. So I had people sitting directly behind me and as a result had to sit and watch the movie with my mask on just to protect myself. Also the theater needs to pump up the air conditioning it's very uncomfortable. read more

Hate that this is my closest movie theater its always something when I come. Today the women's bathroom didn't have flushing toilets. A few trips ago, no A/C. We've deemed one of the theaters the "pee" theater because of its special smell. Overall, terrible every time. read more

There was no parking lot access it was in the middle of the mall. No handicap parking. Times are wrong and movies were posted that were not showing. When you call it's on a continual loop that says nothing other than giving you the menu choices and when you choose one of those it takes you back to the main menu without any response to what you've chosen read more

I should have looked at the reviews on here before going, we thought we were gonna have a fun time but it was instantly hot and forget it once you enter the movie you're gonna watch the hot smell of the seats it was horrible!!! We have two kiddos so I had to leave, they started to sweat. I asked the manager and he stated it's been going on since June stated the company did not care for the employees to work this way so you can't blame the manger but the company is really doing this !!! We left and they gave us a pass to go to another movie spot but still don't go here !!!! Currently riding to Kendall regal. Its convenient. Its clean. They have real food options. and wine. You don't have pay parking like some other places. Buy tickets online with fandango and skip the lines- go right to the ticket taker and they scan right from your phone. I've seen people waiting in lines who don't. The downside? The mall closes at 9 during the week so no post- movie shopping stroll when it's over. Not such a big downside. Never have a problem getting in even on opening nights. The seats are comfortable. Stadium seating with a nice degree of rocking to it. Be careful or you might fall asleep (maybe that's just me). Try it. You'll like it. read more

I've been coming to this theatre since I was a kid! But I was so surprised by the customer service yesterday when I went to the movies with my family. The employee serving us popcorn let us know that if we downloaded the app, we could get discounts, waited for us to download the app, and we ended up saving $40+ on the tickets and food since it was a Tuesday. Was very satisfied with the customer service and patience from this theatre. read more

Dirty, nasty,and not youth friendly. Stupidest rule in place that each member of your party must be 17 or older with an id after 8 pm even if with adults so dumb. DO BETTER! Night times are dangerous times and youth need safe spaces like movie theaters to spend their time. so dumb it's never been this way. read more

Shareef I believe was the gentleman that helped us this evening and he was wonderful. Apparently there was a miss-scheduling issue with a movie and he went above and beyond to accommodate us. We have been coming to this theater for over 10 years and this is the first review I've given it. If i could give this place 0 stars I would. The A/C has not been working for more then a week. We arrive and the theater is changed because not all of them are working properly. I like this movie theater. It's located in Cutler Ridge mall..or excuse me, now known as Southland mall. It's behind the LA Fitness gym located by BWW. There are poster displays showcasing the "now playing" and "coming soon" movies. There are ticket discounts for seniors and matinees and students. Been her at least 3 or 4 times for different movies. Ticketing is the same as any theater, pay at the front. Once inside you have your concession stand filled with lots of goodies. You can now purchase full meals instead of old school snacks like popcorn, nachos, and hot dogs. You can get burgers, chicken sandwiches, loaded fries, mozzarella sticks , and so much more. They even sell beer and wine now..WTF?!! Prices have gone up as a purchase of just a damn hot dog and soda is around $10. My suggestion is eat before you come or be prepared to come out your pockets for some greasy snacks. Yeah you know sometimes a movie is just better with buttery popcorn and a cool drink, LOL. Once inside the actual theater there were plenty of comfy seating. They were spacious and rocked back and forth and equipped with a drink holder that fit every size. We chose the standard screen so there was no surround sound but trust me the sound and picture were on point. Nevertheless I've always enjoyed all the movies I've seen here. And being that it's in the mall you can kill time if you arrive to early and walk around to shop or go grab some food with the surrounding restaurants or food court in the mall. read more

The theaters were renovated about 8yrs (?) ago and are all equipped with great sound, rocking, cushy chairs and stadium seating. The AC is always comfortable...it's never been too cold, which is a huge pet peeve of mine! The snack bar has a wide variety, including pizza and beer...but you'll pay dearly for snacks! Tuesdays are the best days to come...cheaper rates and if you're a Crown Club member, the popcorn is CHEAP on Tuesday, $1! Or upgrade for a few more. Comfy for the kiddos too! Smaller 3D glasses and booster seats. You're also in the mall so easy to grab a bite before or after at Johnny Rockets, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sal's and other restaurants. It's south for many ppl but free parking and huge theaters are a plus! read more

As movie theaters go, the Southland mall's is pretty standard. On average, I think the screens are a big bigger than the ones in, for example, the "UA Falls 12" (or at least that's the impression they gave me), and the film selection is nice. You're normally not going to see an art film or foreign movies there, but for the Hollywood standard fare most people go to a multiplex for, hey are always a nice option. Also, I have never had to make a long line as, say, in the "AMC Sunset Place 24", even on Premiere weekends, which is an advantage (though if you're going to see a big, spectacle film, I recommend you take your time (meaning: never on the first weekend they show it), and go to the "AutoNation IMAX Theater" at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Ft. Lauderdale)... Going back to the Southland Mall cinemas: you can also go to the Johnny Rockets right in front of the theater entrance and get discount movie tickets with your food order. The snacks stand is a bit slow-moving, but the service is alright, even though (as in every movie theater ever) the prices are way higher than they should, but if you have the Regal Rewards card, the films themselves end up paying for your popcorn or your soda every once in a while (you don't even have to go to the theater as much as I do to make it worth it having the card, just let the points accumulate and use them when you want to)... By the way, so far they've never given me non-fresh popcorn (and for those of you wandering where did I get old/cold popcorn: "Kendall Village Stadium 16"). Now, I've had quite a few issues needing assistance from the customer service crew, including lost reward cards and stuff like that, and they have always been helpful, professional and nice... and I've been in line waiting behind customers that would have earned a non-polite answer in several other places. The bathrooms are usually clean-ish (way better than other theaters, if we're going to be honest). So far they've honored every coupon, from the one-blood's to the Regal Rewards'. You can buy your tickets on-line, or can go and get them at the booth (either with a cashier or at the automatic booths at the side that no-one seems to know exist and work, because they are always empty). I have never had any problem with the online tickets, but I'd recommend the booths. As I said, the lines are never that long, and you save yourself the convenience charge from the App/Fandango... which reminds me also about how much I hate the Regal app. It isn't exactly intuitive, but you can manage it fairly well, in spite it's deficient usability... but I stopped using it for purchasing tickets about a year ago because it really gets in my nerves that it dumps you to the Fandango app to make the purchase and then you have to figure out where the ticket ends up, and is really annoying the process to get it to your apple wallet. Lets be clear: it is not that it is THAT difficult, but I hate that something you could do with one app and six or seven clicks takes you TWO apps and an infinite amount of clicking, typing and working around, and still they dare to charge a "convenience charge" when they actually made the purchase more difficult (yay!, the "convenience" is that you don't have to be at the booth to purchase... but I'm going to have to go to the theater anyway to watch the film, you know? could you try to make the thing work smoothly?). The app has nothing to do with the location, of course, but it's worth mentioning. Anyway. For me, it is a nice place to go watch films. aside from what I've already mentioned, the image is always clear, as is the sound, though sometimes I think it is a bit louder than needed (maybe because they expect full showings and, at least when I go, they are usually playing at less than half of the seats filled, and bodies/clothing absorb sound vibrations, if I remember correctly). The seats are comfortable enough (actually, it's been years since I've gone to a theater whit uncomfortable seats, now that I think about it) the screen-rooms are easy to navigate both before and after the film... I don't think I've needed to get in or out of the showing mid-presentation, so I don't remember if it would be easy to find the way, should an emergency happen, but I believe it would. read more

I'll be honest, once you go to iPic Theaters (if you haven't heard of it, then definitely look it up), its really hard to go to a standard movie theater, but my girlfriend and I decided to try it out in the spur of the moment since we literally live 2 miles from it. It definitely was nostalgic walking into this movie theater, brought me back to my early teenager years lol We went around 7:30 and it was pretty quiet. Only one worker in the box office and one at the concession stand. Although there wasn't a single soul around (it was a weekday), we decided to use the ticket machine. Super fast, and I'm sure it definitely comes in handy if there were to be a line. Anyway, I really wanted to get the full movie theater feel, so I decided to get some goodies from the concession stand. There was only one person in front of me, but the entire transaction took 10 minutes! We were already running late to our movie, which was our faults, but they should have at least two people working, in my opinion. It wasn't that bad and I'm a patient person, but the gentleman working was like a sloth (sorry lol). Finally, my turn, I ordered a medium popcorn, a large coke, and watermelon sour patch, all at your typical expected movie theater cost. We got into our movie, found some seats, and made ourselves comfortable. Well, we at least tried. The seats definitely aren't made for your comfort, as they barely recline, and I feel like I'm sitting like a statue. One of the reasons I was open to trying this place was due to a review that I had read that described the seats almost like iPic, hence false advertising, not that it's the movie theaters fault though. Overall, it was what I expected from this type of movie theater, and despite my descriptions, I was pretty satisfied with my visit. I definitely will return here when I feel like catching a flick last minute, and my girlfriend and I aren't feeling like looking our best! read more

This was my first time going to this theatre, but I've gone to multiple regal cinemas' and they're all usually awesome. The one in Pembroke Pines just updated their seats to recliner seats, basically beds. The one in Kendall has really comfortable seating as well, but no recliners yet. But this location has to be worst of them all. the seats are very outdated, hard & stiff. Usually people buy their tickets online so there was barely no wait time at the ticket lines. The concession stand on the other hand had quite a long line, but I can understand that. How can you watch a movie and not eat popcorn? The reason for my rating is because I was sweating during the movie..... did I come here to work out or watch a movie? I'm being dramatic, it wasn't that serious. But movie theaters are always so cold. I had an uncomfortable experience overall with the stiff chairs and humid atmosphere. This theatre needs to be renovated like the rest of the other regals. read more

Our go to movie theater. I go often with my boys or just the hubby for our date night. The lines are often long & I wish they'll have a few more employees in concession.besides that the theater is clean & we never had any issues. We often go when they have their movie deal- nachos & hot dogs at $2-$3. Can't say no to that! I also have the regal card & get a lot of deals. Another plus is anyone under 17 can't hang out after 10 or 11pm I believe. Thank God because I would really hate to have to tell someone's child to shut the hell up! A beautiful state of the art movie theater without the crowds. No, seriously. The only thing I can think of is that most people must think that Southland Mall (previously known as Cutler Ridge Mall) is still ghetto and stay away from it. It is so not. They have totally refurbished the mall, and the new movie theater is really nice. They have stadium seating like Sunset Place, but the chairs rock back even more. And on "busy" weekend nights, they even have a concession cart that they wheel into the popular screenings and you can buy your popcorn and Coke without waiting in the big line. Parking is never a problem and the icing on the cake: There is a Crepe Maker kiosk directly in front of the theater. (Triple Treat w/no whip cream please) What is better than dessert and a movie? read more

This has been my spot of choice for movie going as of late. Why? Because it's right off of the Turnpike, has parking that's never more than 4 or 5 rows away, and its never crowded. Turns out that this theater is also Miami-Dade's newest and every single screen is digital with digital sound. So if you're like me having a fully digital, HD, blueray, 7:1 surround, DTS setup at home, you'd be disappointed going to most theaters in town unless you're lucky and happen to be viewing your flick of choice on the digital theater that they've converted to digital. If you haven't had a chance to check it out I suggest you do, especially if you're on Regal's Crown Club program with reward points. read more

If you build it....they will come...and i did...hehehe... this is one of my favorite places for midnight movies!!! And yes i am a midnight movie goer!!!! The service here is always pleasant. I am always greeted at the concession stand and the ticket booth. The movie was great quality as well, the sound and images are great. I need this in my house like last week. Regal Southland is a very welcomed addition to the Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay areas. I know what you're thinking: "Isn't this Cutler Ridge Mall, a ghetto paradise? I bet they just changed the name and tried to sell you this more upscale, modern concept" but you'd be so wrong in thinking that. In the place of a pretty much deserted mall after Hurricane Andrew's rampage, now there are tons of modern stores, restaurants (some of which are great), hair salons, ULTA, even a large gym. Dillard's is gone and taking its place is this Regal theater. As the name implies, Regal has stadium seating. It is quite a large theater, and because of the fact it's quite new, it is clean and modern. There are many viewing rooms (and they are huge, which is great, allowing plenty of seating), and lots of available showtimes, something you could not find at The Falls. A possible drawback is the ticket purchasing, only because I did not see any kiosks, meaning you had to make a line to buy the tickets, unless there are kiosks inside the theater that I missed. The customer service was friendly and helpful, lines at the concession stand were not long at all and parking is abundant. The screens in the theater were quite large and the sound system for our 3D movie was great. I do have to advise you to bring in a sweater. It was C-O-L-D! I predict the air conditioning was probably set to an uncomfortable 65. My feet were numb an hour into the movie and I felt as if my toes had icicles. Other than that, I won't hesitate to come back to catch a movie when I find myself in this part of town! read more

I like going to this theater because since it is at Southland Mall it gets less traffic than other malls. They also have updated kiosks at the front of the theater which provide you with high-quality customer service. Something new I learned through Yelp-- $6 movies on Tuesday... a good place for Miamians on a budget. read more

Been to this Cinema quite a few times. I don't mind it. I don't like the one in the falls and sometimes just don't feel like going further for a movie theatre. It's hit or miss but this time it was a hit. Sometimes there's bebe kids and I cant stand it. I mean I don't remember my son acting a fool but then again I never was the one to take him to an adult movie. It gets irritating when people are on their phones, kids don't know how to act, and even parents that have no control. Customer Service is pretty good. I never really had someone be rude to us. Probably be coming here a few times whenever a good movie comes out. Enjoy! read more

I like this theatre because it is close to home and it is new. The seats are comfy and can rock a bit. Most of the time there isn't a crowd, unless it's $5 dollar Tuesdays! Another reason for such a good rating. You can watch regular movies for $5 bucks. No 3D movies or special things like that just the regular screen movies. Ghetto people and teenagers still go there and you will be hearing someone is going to get their ass kicked while tugging along their 2 year old in and out of the theatre. Oh well that's all in the entertainment I guess. That doesn't stop me and my peoples from going there. Sunset will always be my favorite movie theatre in Miami (so many fond memories) but free parking and $5 Tuesdays rule right now! Happy viewing! read more

My boyfriend and I have been to this theater 3 times in the past 3 years and every time we come back I remember why we pay the extra $8 to go to Cinebistro where they have the zero tolerance policy of phones and talking. We are frequent movie goers and although this theater is the closest one to our house we will not be returning here again. We just got out of a matinee showing of Mockingjay Part II where there was a mere 14 people in the theater. You'd think everyone could handle being quiet and staying off their phones, but no they cannot. A theater worker came in at the very end and did not seem to notice or care that people were on their phones and talking. This Regal does not provide the movie atmosphere that I am looking for and PAY for. We will not ever be back there. read more

Cutler Ridge Mall, now known as Southland, does try to improve, but it still has a pretty grimy crowd and none of the stores inside interest me. Just as the other reviews have stated, it's a great theater and there is hardly ever a crowd. FYI: All movie tickets are 5 bucks on Tuesday and you can buy $1 popcorn if you are regal crown card member(free to sign up, if you don't have one already!) Can't beat that.. read more

For the Cutler Bay area this is the best theater to go to. They completely redid it and it shows. Ive only had one really small theater but everything else is great. I saw both Up and Monsters vs Aliens there in 3D. compared to the Falls theater this is heaven read more

Ok, so i come here all the time and I must say that this theaeter is great! On Tuesdays $5.00 movies are great, however considering this theater is already in a ghetto mall, the $5.00 movies attract some odd folks. This is a great place to come when there is not a crowd. I am sure that with time more people will discover how great this theater is and it will start to get over crowed like the rest of them!
