Inside the center tells the personal stories and educates on the history of what happened there. We have been to Cody's gravesite in Golden, CO, so it was great to get a comprehensive view of his life and impact on the Nation. The firearms section was amazingly in depth and we should have got a private guide. We enjoyed the Art section but ran out of time. I particularly liked the Remington sculptures. The main floor has neat antiques, old guns, clothing and items from yesteryear while the lower level is more about the mining history. The artifacts have little or no restoration to add to the authenticity of the town. There is a small graveyard on the site where the remains of several notable people have been relocated. When we pulled up it looked really small, but when we got up to it, we saw that it was much bigger. Overall it was a great experience. At Old Trail Town, you will find artifacts from the Old West as well as grave sites of several notable Western figures. You will also find original cabins used by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as well as a Wyoming saloon frequented by Cassidy's "Hole-in-the-Wall Gang". Some of my favorites were the log cabin home of "Curley" a Crow Indian army scout who helped guide Lt Col. George A. Custer and the U.S. 7th Cavalry to the battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876, and the old schoolhouse.

Anyway, the place has a gigantic fake T-Rex skeleton, so it attracts kids and dinosaur enthusiasts. They have all sorts of science box sets you can buy, such as "Grow your own rocks!" and what-not. First, don't be fooled by its small size (looking from the outside). Besides the first floor and the patio exhibits, there's a basement level full of displays. In fact, it's one of the best displays of Native American artifacts I've seen in a long time. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot or not. If not, you can always park in the terminal parking lot.
