We hired Dan from Great Roots for our landscaping project and were very disappointed with our…read moreexperience. From the beginning, communication was very poor. My husband and I went over everything we wanted in detail, yet the order was written up incorrectly and still ordered that way. The sod that was installed arrived in terrible condition -- unlike anything we had ever seen before. Dan initially promised he would replace it due to our concerns, but later changed his position in an email and implied the issues were our fault because of watering. After the project, we also had to hire an irrigation company to come out because there were issues with our irrigation system after they left. In addition, rock was installed in areas without a weed barrier underneath. When we questioned this, we were told it was "not necessary." Things became even more frustrating when there was an issue with the plant order. Dan gave us the option to back out of the contract and handle the remaining work ourselves. Unfortunately, by that point all of our old plants had already been removed, leaving the front of our home looking unfinished and neglected for weeks. Throughout the process, calls and texts often went unanswered, and communication was limited mostly to slow email responses. We had several questions and concerns during the project, but felt we were treated poorly overall. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company.
