They've never been on top of keeping them trimmed and if I ever mentioned it was met with excuses or double talk. Attatched below is the original agreement to how my bushes should look and how they are today after "firing me" for being frustrated with bad service. Me being a brand new home owner, I had no idea what was going on. All I saw was a flood of water surrounding the perimeter of my house including my lawn, driveway, sideways, etc. We talked over the phone, and they walked us through closing the main irrigation switch. It wasn't easy especially with all the water. They came first thing in the morning to assess the problem. They explained everything to us, fixed it, as well as did a few things such as updating our scheduled times on our irrigation system, and closing up some sprinklers that we didn't need. Thursday came around and I decided to touch base as I'd not heard from him yet and it was almost 2:30. I got his voicemail and left a message to ensure we were still on his radar but got no call back. He ended up being a no-show which caused me to waste my whole day as I stayed close to home to await his visit. We decided to give him another chance so we waited through the weekend (still no call back) and I reached out to him again on Monday, 04.25.22, and he answered the phone, obviously from his car given the background noise. I reintroduced myself and told him we'd spoken a week ago and had a tentative appt set up but he didn't show. I told him I'd left him a vm on the day he was supposed to have come by and he said I shouldn't have been able to leave one as his box is full. (??) I told him I had regardless, and that he didn't call back. He then said "What is it that you wanted?" which took me by surprise as he was really short with me and it's apparent what we wanted. He's a landscape designer, is he not? I said "Wow, you sound like you're really busy!" to which he replied "You know, I am really busy. Let's leave it at that." And then he hung up on me. Wow. Just wow. His website looks lovely and I'm sure he must do good work (?) but I think we dodged a bullet with this guy and his company. We had plenty of good money to spend but we'll gladly take our business elsewhere now. Please work on your bedside manner, Mr. Draper, as your current one leaves a lot to be desired. Rudeness to potential clients and wasting their time is totally uncalled for when you could have handled this situation with a simple apology and moved on from there.

I used them to install a brick paver path in my back yard. When I initially consulted with Chris, it seemed like Rock N' Block had their own team and would complete the install. When the crew showed up, however, they seemed to have been a different, subcontracted company. The path was installed horrifically badly -- inconsistent widths, jagged, uneven curves, not centered on the staircase it leads to. It was truly, really bad. To their credit, they acknowledged how terrible the work was, and agreed to re-install the path when I brought it up. Chris was responsive and apologetic. But, the whole process was, honestly, a pain. I had to fly back into town early to supervise the re-install, it ended up taking much longer and requiring much more of my time than a simple path should have because of the poor initial quality of their work.
