BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I totally agree with the low ratings Home Team gets. Beware of this company. Their service is poor. We called 8 times regarding an any problem. They have never solved the issue, always either excuses. I cancelled my contract and the all of a sudden came up with $90 in extra charges they said I agreed to in my contract. Bottom line they are horrible but you can't give less than 1 star. read more

(First of all I posted this review in the Winter Gardens HomeTeam which was the wrong one - I live in Delray so I'm reposting this here in the correct location which is Lake Worth in FL) Quick review here about my impression of the way Home Team treats their employees. I talk to my regular service guy Juan (who is awesome) when he comes around because he's very friendly and professional. So I was chatting with him this a.m. and found he had got Covid at the end of the year. Home Team immediately sent him home, full pay, for the recommended period until he was well. They also do regular (virtual) meetings on how to be safe, and they have good benefits in general. I ALWAYS look for companies that treat their employees with dignity and respect, and I won't deal with companies that do not treat employees fairly. So it's nice to see that Home Team does, indeed, walk the walk, and I hope they continue to do so. Of course it's common decency, but also it's just good business - I wish more companies got that! Well done Home Team, will be a long time customer. (PS - I see bad reviews here about the account side of things, but honestly that has always been good as well tbh, not sure why others had a problem, these guys always respond timely, don't overbill, always there very soon after we call for a specific issue etc. - all good in my experience). read more

I found the service to be underwhelming. Preventative termite treatment that needed to be serviced twice a year for 320/year and they did complete the contract. I canceled and they pulled my cartridges leaving holes in the ground. There in wall treatment was not effective either. I would not recommend. read more

I've been a customer since August, 2014 when I bought a townhouse in Jupiter, FL. HomeTeam was the contracted service through our HOA so I didn't have to research companies. Our regular service technician visited quarterly and was very responsive whenever there was a insect problem, indoor or outdoor. I purchased a new home in Jupiter last year. It made sense to keep the same pest control company since I had no issues with the quarterly service. In the past month however, I've had to call HomeTeam 3 separate times for indoor service due to tiny ants that suddenly appeared in the master bathroom. The ants appeared one day after a routine quarterly service after the outdoor foundation was treated with pesticides. No big deal. At first. This is south Florida. It happens. The first callback was 7 days after the quarterly treatment and the ant problem persisted. The second callback was 10 days later. Each trip involved repeated indoor service for tiny ants. Two different technicians sprayed outdoors and put indoor bait on bathroom counter tops that was supposed to fix the problem. I was a little concerned on the first callback when it took the company several days to send a technician. For some reason, when I called for pest control service on Thursday, there was no one available until the following Monday. The ant problem got steadily worse. The ant spread went from bathroom sink counter tops to nearby walls, bathroom and closet door jams, floor boards and the master bedroom. On my 3rd follow up call yesterday (Thursday) at 11 AM, I told the secretary about the infestation. She said a technician would call me right back to set up an appointment date and time. No callback as of 4 PM. I called again and got an answering machine. Frustrated with the ant infestation, now 10 days after the second follow up visit, I called a separate local pest control company for help. The second company responded quickly. After the new company responded, I got a return phone call from HomeTeam's secretary. She was giggling on the telephone with someone in the background and called me to say a technician would respond in four days, the following Monday, to take a look. I told the secretary I hired a new company as the ant infestation got progressively worse and I lost confidence in their delay with customer service. I told her I was canceling my contract with HomeTeam. I asked her to remove my credit card from auto billing. She said they don't keep customer credit card info on file. Not true. They bill automatically each quarter. I'm giving the company a 2 star rating because they were good for the first few years but then.... I would not recommend them at this point in time. read more

I have been a customer for nearly 5 years and have been very satisfied with the two services provided for 1) termites and 2) pests. No occurrence of either insect during that period. Technicians appear very knowledgeable and they are friendly. I had some billing questions due to mix-ups between two accounts, the questions were resolved. Office management and staff are outstanding. read more

rating a zero!!! the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and it continues to get worse. Charged me 3x for the same service and promised to issue a refund for the error. the refund never happened and they did not respond to calls or emails to both the local and corporate office. I finally resolved the issue with my credit card company and they contacted me last week because I had stopped the autopay. I explained the situation and was contacted by Edgar Deleaon who was very apologetic and assured me the branch manager would be on contact. Although I made payment, I NEVER heard from the branch manager. Apparently 3 other people in my community have had similar overcharge issues but not quite as bad and was eventually resolved by Hometeam. They also never responded to a BBB complaint! I moved into my home less than a month ago (9/23). I found a dead termite around two weeks (on 10/9) after moving into the home. During the walkthrough of my home the Lennar representatives informed my wife and I that the home is covered for up to the first year for termites through a company called Home Team Pest Defense. My wife and I placed a work order through Lennar's website to solve this termite issue. On 10/22 a representative from Home Team Pest Defense arrived and asked if I had evidence of the termites. I informed him that it almost two weeks ago and while I have a picture of the termite, I did not realize they wanted a sample. The representative called said he called his boss, Robert Rodriguez, and that his boss said they would not provide me with any service due to not having any proof of what type of termite it is. In the past I have had numerous pest control companies come to spray for termites or other pests and never have they refused to provide me with service if I could not produce the pest. Every day people hire companies to prevent damage caused by termites and other pests. This company refused to to provide any treatment at all. When we spoke I could sense an attitude of not caring at all about my issue. The representative did not even check my home at first. The rep said he won't do anything, said goodbye , and then came back after he said his boss suggested he look around the home. This company couldn't even do the bare minimum until I said that I was not happy with the how his company treats clients. When asked, the representative explained a very elaborate story as to why they need to identify the type of termite so that they can determine where the termite comes from and in turn not provide service unless it falls under a strict criteria. I have never heard such a complicated reason to simply provide treatment for pests. The one year service is provided by Lennar and not free. Save your money and choose a company that cares about the clients. read more
