This is going to sound so overly glowing that you will think I was paid to write it. I assure you dear reader I would be excited to pay Michael / Barker Brothers more money, but they have declined my offers. This was the 3rd pest control company I have had come to my house to try to solve my rat problem. I've spent thousands on roofing fixes and all sorts of other patches and traps and bait and devices. Michael made one visit. He looked around my property and then with the most insane confidence of anyone in the world he told me it was the plumbing and I needed a plumber. I didn't believe him one bit. The plumber also thought he was crazy. However the plumber being paid to check my house checked it anyways. Turns out Michael was exactly right. The pricing is way too high.When I reached Barker Brothers I was so excited. I kept thinking they were only pest control and I needed my weeds in my grass gone. I mis-read the web site but I called anyway and good thing I did. They are exactly what I was looking for. Mike and Justin run the company. I have only met Mike and he takes his time and explains everything to me. I only pay for lawn service, but today I mentioned to Mike I had red ants in the brick patio. Time to get a professional in, asap because there will be no bugs coming into my home! Bugs Barker has been family owned and operated since 1988. Thirty years in business in South Florida speaks for itself. Justin and Michael are the owners and both are easily accessible. Their parents started the family business and now Justin and Michael are running the show. I use family owned businesses when I can. I contacted them via my Yelp app~like I would even look at another app, right? Their page claims they have a 50 minutes response time. Sure enough I received a call from Justin within the hour. This was on a Sunday too! How's that for exceptional service? Michael was professional and knowledgeable about all things bugs! He fully explained what he was going to do as well as why he needed to do it. No contracts, no commitments, no pressure! Monthly, quarterly or once in a blue moon, it's all good. They sprayed my house and I started seeing even more palmettos. I called them and they said wait for it to work. So I did - but the palmettos kept on coming. I kept calling and they kept making excuses. Finally (after a few months of trying and grossness) I had a man call for me and they said they would come and spray again - but they never showed up. read more

BEYOND UPSET!!!! I love yelp and and usually heed their recommendations. This company is ranked number one and should be at zero. I am the kind of person when given the option try and use a small local company rather than a large chain giving back to the community. I was burned twice now. Michael was very charismatic and seem to know what he was doing but I have just found out that he knew nothing! We contacted him in December it is now the end of May and I have seen two mice in broad daylight. I called them in January a few weeks after the initial monitoring and finding nothing to try and see if they would come back since they swore to me there were never mice in my house after monitoring it. They said they can monitor again but we would be charged again. I then thought I saw one and called the next morning asking someone to come out they said Michael was "going away for the weekend"..... no other options- no follow up after the weekend!!!! Fast Forward- 2 weeks ago I see the 2 mice... I want to believe these guys will help me out- not asking for anything for free but wanting help and protection....they refused to come out. They said I needed a different kind of test that their company cannot run in order to take the matter further. In desperation I called another company which is amazing by the way, and within the first 10 minutes of being here they said there were 6 to 10 places on my roof (vents, stacks) that had not been sealed by Barker Brothers. The other ones that were somewhat covered by the Barker brothers were only partially done not completely covered. The job was less than "half-assed". So what did my $800 get me??? living in my house in fear!!!! A ton more money now spent to get rid of a bigger problem than there was when I started and called Barker Brothers!!! So sadly dissatisfied. read more
