Buyer Beware! After a year of Home Team services I decided to go with another company because of continued issues with spiders and ants. My contract with Home Team expired April 30 and I let them know "in writing" via a text message on April 23, that I was canceling their services. They confirmed via text within seconds that they received my notification. NOTE, the text msg was actually initiated by Home Team wanting to know how their services were going. On May 5, nearly 2 weeks after cancellation, they sent out a serviceman anyway without notice and now threatening me with collection if I don't pay their $119 scam invoice. NOTE, after calling Home Team to complain, I was told I never cancelled in writing (not true) and the text message they originally sent on the 23rd was about a different new service (a lie) and sent via an AI "bot" (who even had a name of "Anna Williams") and responses were not monitored by an actual human. Anyone out there think this is MY problem? Nope. Do not do business with Home Team unless you intend to be with them forever. read more

I canceled my service with this company several years ago for lying and telling me a service was completed when a technician was never at my house. I have security cameras that surround my house and showed nothing the entire day that the tech supposedly completed service. I refused payment until they completed service, so they sent me to collections and refused to complete service. Recently, I received a voicemail requesting service for my pest control service that was done the month prior. I thought it was my current company, so I called and paid without another though. the price was the same. I found out after that it was the wrong company and they refused to refund my money. I had to contact my bank to try to dispute it, but because I no longer have the camera footage or documentation from three years ago, they refused a refund. I'm so upset That I paid these scam artists money for services that were never completed. read more

When I called HomeTeam I was quoted $129.00 and 150.00 more IF they found German roaches. The tech was pleasant and gracious. But, I was charged $279.00. I called the office and was told he did a German Roach treatment. The tech told me himself that the only bugs he saw were Palmetto bugs and spiders. I called the company and spoke to 2 different people. They kept telling me that I got the treatment for German roaches . I kept explaining I didn't have any and the agreement over the phone was if I had Germans it would be extra. They wouldn't budge off the inane argument so here I am telling my story. And I don't stop. I don't mind the treatment I hate to be lied to and robbed. My next stop will be the Chamber of Commerce. read more

I appreciate their input coming from Arizona where we deal with scorpions and snakes, I needed advice on pest prevention for Florida, Also got termite protection as a preventative measure as I had that in Arizona. Techs are super nice and will address any concerns you have , just ask. Costs are very fair for services rendered. If I have any issues I call and they come out promptly. Home Team Pest Defense comes out on a quarterly schedule to protect our house, lanai and pool cage from creepy crawlies. When we first moved into our new home, we had an issue with ants in our Master Bedroom. Not a huge deal but I kept finding tiny dead ants on the window sills. The technician that came out explained that ants move toward moonlight and this is why they came to rest in this position. The first treatment took care of 90 percent of the ants and a second treatment the next month took care of the remaining. We haven't had any recurrence in over a year. The only other issue we had upon moving into our house was that THREE varieties of spiders had taken over the pool cage and lanai and didn't have plans on moving out. We sprayed, brushed and cleaned them out only to have them back to their original numbers seemingly within a day. The egg sacks we found everywhere were nearly as creepy as the webs and spiders. Home Team Pest Defense explained that spiders in pool cages are difficult to control - mostly because they don't groom themselves, so spraying areas has no effect. They need to be sprayed directly and the eggs removed. We saw an immediate result with the first treatment. Did I mention that the technician brushed down and cleaned every surface in our pool cage and lanai? Hard work. We know because we had been doing it daily. TWO varieties of spiders were eradicated with the first treatment. The FINAL variety of stubborn spiders are now kept in check by the Home Team Pest Defense team. They offer an amazing VALUE ADDED service. If the spiders (or any pest) needs to be dealt with before their regularly scheduled visit, all we have to do is call and they come back and take care of it - AT NO CHARGE. Excellent service. When HomeTeam was actually providing the service at my residence they were average. They came in as scheduled and when we had an issue they came and resolved. When I had to cancel because I sold my property is when the problems started. I called them to cancel more then 15 days prior to my closing. Also - the new owner wanted to continue the service. HomeTeam accepted the cancelation and advised me I will receive a refund check (overpayment of services) within 15 days. I had to call back a 2nd time, about 30 days after my initial call, to advise them I did not receive my check. I updated my address (again) and again same response. I called back a 3rd time 30 days later because I did not receive a check and again they did not receive a check. I asked to speak to a Manager who checked the system and my address was still not updated! HomeTeam's solution was to wait until their Corporate office gets around to cutting the check and then mailing it out, which should be by the end of the week. My issue with HomeTeam is: the lack of accountability and their resolution after the multiple errors are due to their poor employees and leaders. I called 3 times and updated my address each time and when the Manager took my call my address was still not updated. After speaking with a Senior Manger the only solution she had was to have someone from the local office write a personal check and then get reimbursed by the company. Very unprofessional when an employee writes a personal check to solve a company's problem. And I had to tell them I need to have this resolved by the next day so their driver dropped a check to my new residence the next day. The lack of professionalism, accountability by the company, and the poor solution shows that HomeTeam is not professional and can not solve the simplest problems, such as updating an address, so how can you rely on them to make sure you do not have critters on your property? read more

There aren't enough words that can express my gratitude to Jerome and Home Team Pest Defense!!!. I had a major issue after my refrigerator stopped working and we hadn't been in town for 2 months. Needless to say, the amount of bugs that infested the house after all the food spoiling for 2 months is beyond description. This young man came on a Friday night at 5 pm on an emergency call to bomb my house. Mind you, I was not in town and doing all of this from out of town and due to come in the next day with family that was visiting from out of the country. I was mortified at the situation and completely hand tied as I was not there. This amazing young man said he could not leave my refrigerator in the condition it was in, and was going to empty it out for me and clean it. He stayed for 3 hours on a Friday night after hours to do this for me!!!! Who does that kind of thing anymore?!?!
