This place is super cute and has unique flavors... coconut keylime cake and (my favorite) orange cream cake. I struggled to not wolf it down. Lady behind the counter was SO NICE and explained how everything is freshly baked in-house and gave me a peek at the kitchen where the owner was, at that very moment, creating deliciousness. :)

Amazing service, extremely sweet!! The atmosphere is just adorable! We got a slice of carrot cake and coffee, and I can wholeheartedly say it was the best carrot cake I've ever had!!

Hometown Desserts made a beautiful wedding cake and a stunning array of bite-sized desserts for our wedding reception that were a huge hit! The beach-themed cake and shell-shaped cookies were simply beautiful - and delicious. Cindy is so easy to work with, and even made our cake and special cupcakes gluten free as my stepdaughter has celiac.

We got our wedding cake from here in 2015 and have enjoyed the treats from here any chance we get! If you are visiting Anna Maria Island, the store is located on Pine Ave, it's pretty much AMI's "Main Street". The shop is cute and serves a pretty good coffee as well. My wife is a big fan of the key lime pie and the coconut cake is my favorite. The mix of tropical flavors and a moist cake or creamy pie make for a perfect vacation sweet treat!

Cindy (the owner) is a gem on Anna Maria Island! Her cake artistry is unbelievable - had to add the picture because it was unbelievable! Every part of the cake was not only edible, but absolutely delicious! You need not travel anywhere else for the best bakery around! Thank you so much Cindy for making the perfect cake for our party!

We stopped in this morning to have pie/cake for breakfast because we're on vacation! Based on other reviews, we got a slice of key lime pie and a slice of coconut lime cake. I'm going to start with the cake. My husband loves coconut, but isn't a huge sweets person. He devoured the cake in minutes!!! I'm not a huge coconut fan, but had to try a taste for research purposes of course. LOL! The cake was moist with a nice balance of coconut and lime flavors. Not overly sweet. Delicious! The key lime pie was also 5 stars in my book! Tart but not puckery tart...just right...almost like a lime custard or curd on top of a delicate graham cracker crust. Mmmm!!! The only think I would have done differently is visit this cute shop earlier in my trip so I could have eaten more pie! Check it out, you won't be disappointed! You can order by the slice like we did or they also sell whole pies and cakes. We'll be back on our next visit!

Overall: Nice clean place with very friendly service. Food: 3.75 stars- PB pie was very smooth and strawberry cake was strawberry with buttercream icing. The pie was definitely the better of the two desserts we ordered. Service: 4 stars- Warmly greeting upon entry. Was very helpful in describing what each dessert was made of and with and what was favorites. Environment: 4 stars- Cute place that was very clean, minimal additional stuff so your focus is on what they have to offer and spacious. Seating inside and outside a plus.

Hometown desserts made our wedding cake. It was perfect. From the beach chairs on top, to the requested monogram they did in fondant. It was not only beautiful, but was delicious! I would definitely order a cake from them again.

My wife read some reviews and "made me" take her . She had the Coconut Cake and I had this delicious Key Lime Coconut Cake (sorry - I ate it before it I took a picture). Both were very fresh and tasty. We also got flavored iced coffee, which was perfect for a hot day. This place is a little bit hidden, but well worth looking for. Enjoy!

The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure our table stayed clean, our drinks were always refilled, and that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. What stood out the most was how accommodating they were to my son, who has a disability. They thoughtfully provided him with a smaller fork that was easier for him to use, which truly meant a lot to our family. Their kindness and attention to detail made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back!

We had a great experience dining at this restaurant, would definitely recommend. Friendly service,…read morecreative dishes and great value. We started with the carpaccio and artichokes to share: the carpaccio was pretty good, nothing too special. The artichokes were amazing. One of the best artichoke appetizers I've ever had. They were soft and tender and the sauce paired deliciously well. Very unique. I highly recommend trying. Scallop appetizer: the scallops were cooked very well, I thought the caramelized onions were not cooked that memorably, they also weren't my favorite pairing with this dish. The sauce was ok, the scallops were the star, the other components were not the best but I enjoyed the appetizer Shrimp and scallops linguine: (blackened) The shrimp and scallops were very tasty and well cooked. The pasta was al dente and sauce was good, maybe could use a bit of salt but the dish overall was very good. Gnocchi and medallions: the gnocchi was surprisingly good, it's hard to get good gnocchi but these were really good. The sauce was delicious!! And the medallions were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I'm ordering this again when I come back. Sea bass: really good dish composition. The eggplant and zucchini ratatouille paired really good with the pesto and the mashed potatoes, and the star of the show was the fish, cooked really well and seasoned very nicely (got it blackened). Highly recommend. Brussels sprouts were also a really enjoyable side. I will happily come back :)

If you come during season, and on weekends, expect to wait. But it is worth it! The burrito was simply delicious. There was so much of it that you do feel like you're getting every penny you pay. Both were gluten free. Now I have to admit that the lox avocado toast was about 6.5/10 (as the avocado had that weird taste it develops when it sets out for too long), but the waffle was SUPER good, ESPECIALLY for a GF option. The coffee was decent. Customer service was good. Everybody was very friendly and attentive, from the cashier to the wait staff. I have to say that I also got an iced latte with coconut milk and I was ecstatic that they had the coconut milk option because I'm noticing that it's becoming less and less available. Now to the other things that I have tasted; I tried their chai chiller. Even though it was too sweet for my liking (I reckon it was made with chai syrup). However, I think it tasted great -and the spiciness really was coming through. Finally, the tried the morning glory baked item. It was good. The combination of coconut, carrots, cinnamon, and raisins worked well together. I also got an orange-something scone, but have not tried it yet. I will have to come back and update my review once I do. The place looks eclectic but it works! It also has a small gift shop at the entrance which is a good option if needed.
