The good things: I thought the place was clean, had nice seating, and the service was good. Everyone was very friendly. The cons: Unfortunately I was disappointed with my meal. I had the linguine with vodka sauce and added blackened chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and I was unable to finish it. The serving size of pasta I also found to be small especially for quite a high price point. The price point of the entire menu I think is also much too high for what you are getting. The edamame gyoza were only 4 in one dish and we also shared the hummus board which was very small for an expensive price. I think they should definitely be re-evaluating how their menu is priced for their portions and the meals themselves. read more

Just moved to the area and this was our first time here and everything from the start was impeccable. First off, valet guy was super nice. We parked down the block and walked over since we were early for our reservation. I love where they seated us (in the corner away from the bar and other tables). I don't think I'd want to sit anywhere else when we go back! Waiter was immediately on it with explaining specials and checked in with us frequently/filled waters. He recommended a Pinot noir based on what I told him I liked and I really enjoyed it. I also showed him a picture from Yelp of what I wanted for dinner and he told me how it would be a little different. I chose that dish and I wasn't disappointed. We literally scraped our plates clean. This was our first night out alone I a long time and I'm so happy we had such a great ambiance and dinner. Husband was confused with his dish (he thought the pesto was going to have pieces of zucchini and squash) instead it was puréed into the sauce with pieces of spinach. He still enjoyed it and said it felt lighter and healthier (not too oily). He also wished for more bread. Thanks for taking care of us Coasties! Sat at the bar for HH last night. Holly provides excellent service with a smile. The HH Ribeye sandwich at $10 was incredible tasty with a huge portion of seasoned fries. The HH beef tips at $10 were incredible and huge enough for two portions. The old-fashioned #1 was tasty but a small pour. The wine pours were small. Great HH food and good canned beer. A great dining experience on the island that was recommended to us by many! We made a reservation in advance to secure our table and they were ready for us about thirty minutes before our scheduled time. We were able to catch the happy hour that was 330 to 5 PM and receive a discount on some drinks. After our party arrived, our server was quick to take orders and bring out our food. Everything was delicious, we ate every last bite. More on the upscale pricey side for the island, but worth it. They have an outside area too, but it was too cold. Is it outside. Simply delightful! Loved every minute. My mother-in-law and I dined here and we have nothing but great things to say about this place! The atmosphere was contemporary and just my style! Visited during vacation. Not impressed. Had the fresh catch which was yellow snapper I believe. Had it grilled and it was mushy and dry at the same time. Skin did not remove easily and zero flavor. Brussel sprouts were overdone and dry. Lobster bisque was a yogurt consistency and no lobster flavor. They also have someone going around and taking your photo then bring them out in a frame to sell to you. Kind of tacky like you're on a cruise ship. Ashley did my hair and I fell in love. I told her I wanted a bouncy blowout and she surpassed my expectations. Right away I knew she knew what she was doing because she took great care of my hair. Great wash, then blowout, then she pinned it all up with rollers to avoid extra heat to prevent hair damage. My blowout lasted an entire week. I've never been so impressed by a DryBar before. Met a friend for dinner here and we had a lovely time. Had 5pm reservations but got there early so was able to enjoy a half hour of their happy hour time. We had the peach sangria (which was divine) and their tater tots. I'm from the east coast so I gotta say, they're calling these tater tots are in no way what I know tater tots to be:). I would say these are more like potato balls. Very tasty and good. Time for dinner and we were escorted to a nice little area outside. Though at the time it was quiet with just other customers, within an hour a dj started playing some classic 80's music and while I love the music it was a bit loud considering that our table was located right next to the area. If I would have known that when I was being seated, I would have asked to move. I got the Triple mushroom and couscous which was very tasty and my friend got the crabcakes which she enjoyed. We got the key lime pie slice for dessert. Though good, I will say that I have had better. The key lime didn't really come through with it's tartness. The, grouper was great as was the corn pudding, but after awhile the corn pudding was a lil too sweet as the portion was large. I'm not a huge sugar person). For someone that eats out often, this may be the best food I've had in a while. Although it is on the pricier side for AMI, the food is quality, large portions, and the FLAVOR is just unbelieveable. I genuinely am still thinking about this meal and drinks. Additionally, the manager and chef came over on separate occasions to ask how the food was. It felt up scale and first class. The only consideration I would have is my grandparents spilt the steak and they did not bring it out on two plates. Parking is tough but there is free valet. The restaurant is small - especially when the outdoor seating is closed. Service was awesome. Waiter was super knowledgeable and been there since it opened. Our new favorite place on the island tied with The Waterfront! You can call and make reservations which is a wonderful option as so few places on the island do. There is very limited parking so they offer a free valet service. The interior decor is really done well and upscale. I ordered the filet and a side of Ratatouille. My filet was cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned great and the Ratatouille is awesome!! Highly recommend!! My husband's ribeye was perfectly cooked as well and our son in law loved his fresh fish tacos. We also enjoyed the Burning passion cocktails; they are super tasty! Our waiter was the worse, lingering over us during the whole time of us staying and having our meal. We felt he was on commission. We told him that we weren't in any hurry regarding the separation of the appetizers to the main course and guess what - food movement was highly fast causing us not to enjoy the ambience and the food we picked out. We ordered a $125 bottle of wine and he never poured it to taste let long fill our glasses throughout our meal. Dinner total was $410 for 2 people and that is why our waiter was the worse. We had a reservation for a Saturday night 2 weeks after for 12 people and we opted not to attend and we cancelled it - we went to Dry Dock instead - we had an awesome experience and my check was $2,100 dollars - well worth it as the food / ambience and wait staff was wonderful. Guess your personnel needs to be better trained as your food was great but your waiter was awful. read more

It took almost another hour to get our entrees. The explanation was that the restaurant has a very small kitchen. The restaurant is very loud as well - it was difficult to hold a conversation at normal volumes. For the prices, I would have expected better service and more creative dishes. read more
