After years of being nickel and dime with various charges by banks I thought I would try a credit union. Everything is different. I get called when I go on vacation or buy something over the internet. So not only do I not get weird fees from the credit union- I feel they have my back with other businesses.

Customer service hasn't helped either. The chat agents seem to be handling too many conversations at once -- responses take 5-7 minutes and usually end up being generic messages like, "We're looking into your history," without actually resolving anything. With how expensive gas, groceries, and everyday cost of living have become, I think people should seriously consider who they trust with their money. For some families, even $125 can make a real difference in paying bills, buying groceries, or getting through the week. In my experience, the way this situation was handled felt disconnected from the financial pressure people are already under. Overall, this has been by far the worst credit union I've used. Good communication shouldn't only happen when money is leaving your account -- it should also happen when there's a problem. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend banking here.

They don't care if you're money gets taken by a scammer and they don't do anything about retaining their customers.
