I have family who have always spoken highly about Hometown Hibachi so we decided to finally stop here! We both chose the hibachi meals one because of the amount of food you get! We wanted to have leftovers for later lol I had the combination of chicken and salmon hibachi with fried rice! Very good choice. My wife ordered the chicken hibachi and fried rice! Both had an excellent flavor and a generous meal! The atmosphere is definitely laid back but small seating. There is a few outside tables so on a sunny day it would be nice to eat outside! Our server was very friendly and kept our drinks full without having to ask for a refill and in my opinion thats a major win! All in all of your in Chillicothe or traveling through the area stop in!

Poke bowl with tuna

Literally our favorite restaurant. All of the food is so good and fresh. The portions are large too!

Came to Chillicothe to do some sight seeing; I'm originally from California and my boyfriend and I came to visit his family and stopped here to try some sushi/hibachi. The food portions are big! We didn't expect to receive so much but it was a lot for how much we paid. The sushi was good, a little heavy on the sauce but overall I enjoyed it! I loved the tempura and the gyoza was pretty tasty as well. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken hibachi too (: The interior was really clean, a bit smoky from the kitchen but aside from that, I liked the decor and ambiance. The service was awesome! Our server was really nice and attentive. I ordered the American Dream and the Chillicothe rolls, though the kitchen accidentally gave me the Hometown along with the Chillicothe roll. They gave us the extra roll for free! We'll definitely come back here again (:

NY Chicken & Steak meal with Lo Mein and yum yum sauce on the side.

My wife and I always visit this restaurant when we are in Chillicothe. The hibachi here is better than any of the others that I've had in my life. It is always comprised of fresh ingredients and they have fast service. Each meal comes with a side salad, soup, and yum yum sauce. You can also let them know you would like no vegetables and then you can get both rice (a ton) and lo mein noodles; whereas it is usually one or the other. I would recommend the NY steak and chicken meal. The chicken and steak are always and seasoned cooked to perfection!

Delicious every time! We always order a ton of sushi and every time it's fresh and delicious.

Food is only second to the service. But the service is just THAT good. The ambience is just right for a casual dinner and good conversation.

Better than ramen I've had in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas. The chili oil or sashuan oil is not as hot as I thought. Easy to eat, even if you can't tolerate much spice. Staff was super amazing. Shout out to the guy behind the bar. Rockin' beard and rockin' attitude. Easy 30-minute drive from Beaver Creek, Wright-Pat area, but so worth it.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

Unfortunately, the quality has steadily declined over the years. I've never wanted to leave a negative review, but this place really needs help. After eating here, I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms, including diarrhea and extreme fatigue, and I lost an entire day being sick. The restaurant has become noticeably dirty, from the overall environment to the food itself. I even found a hair in my meal. This place needs a thorough renovation and better management. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

Large private parking lot and the building appears to have been an old "Hut" style building with the chimney and brick front. The doors are definitely from a different era. Upon entry notice the place was fairly dark and I dare say dingy. The aged greasy carpet. The old Asian decor. Just screamed run. Then the hostess came up and was very friendly but a bit countercultural by rural southern standards. She knew her stuff though and was an absolute awesome waitress. Not sure I saw anyone else working out front. She seated you took your order and brought you your food she seemed to know the locals. Then the roll's appeared! Wow awesome surprise. And they tasted good so huge win. So I deducted a star for cleanliness but this place food wise and service wise is five star. Sorry I had a pix of the very nice rolls but deleted them as I thought I had already made this post.

Went there for lunch, friend recommended…read more I went there once before, it said open at 11am, and...is not So this is the second time, giving them a second chance. First of all, if you never been here before, you just going to keep on driving, even tho is located in a plaza , big parking lot, but if you look at all businesses in the plaza, all are signs "open", welcoming, here? Is all super dark, windows are all cover, more like a sign saying "go away" we closed When I walked in, I just stood there, no one greeted me, no host by the front. One of the server saw me and told me to take a seat anywhere. I'm only there for lunch, so I look at the lunch menu. Now here is the thing. I believe every restaurant should only serve one type of food, meaning if you want to serve Chinese food, Chinese food only, if you want to serve Steak, Steak and Lobster only, don't do Thai and so Italian or Vietnamese and Gyro, this place is Chinese and...Thai, and they got a Mexican serving me, okay, is like so what are you? Friend of mine told me they also serve Vietnamese coffee, I asked, he said only Thai coffee, okay, no big deal. Ordered a drink, asked for a a straw, nope, don't have it, asked me if I want a to go cup, a restaurant don't have straw? Thats your only one job, order everything you need for the "restaurant". To me, that's a very poor management, because when you owing a business, you do not and never wait until everything is out to reorder, when ever your products are running low, not out, you reorder Poor experience

The prices are refreshingly fair, the food comes out fresh every single time, and the vegetarian options? Chef's kiss. I blanked on the name of my dish but my taste buds definitely remember it. The place is not big and they usually have large parties coming in, thus fills the space quickly. We started with Tofu chicharron which we were expecting to be crispy - because chicharron means 'crackling pork rinds' but these Tofu were soft a lil disappointed there. We tried the pork sisig, it was okay. It has this mayo topping and there's an overpowering taste of ginger which is not typical of sisig. We enjoyed the grilled pork belly though, marinated enough and it's complimented with soy vinegar dip. The pancit on the other hand was very greasy. The oil was pooling at the bottom of the bowl. Taste was was just okay. It has way too many chinese sausage in it. We completed our meal with Ube Carioca, it is this chewy rice cake that is deep fried with glazed sweetness & that was okay as well. We wanted the mango sago, however they were out. The service was prompt and adequate parking space.
