I was really hungry for a tacos. This place sells them. They were good. My son was hungry for tacos as well. His were also good.

My son and I tried this restaurant for the first time today. I didn't know what to expect. The menu seemed bizarre but I thought this may be different, but let's try it. First, the lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well lit. Now the food was a different story. I ordered the Casa Nachos. My son ordered a spicy chicken quesadilla. The wait wasn't too bad. The food was underwhelming. The nachos were something that you get at a high school football game. They had the typical nacho cheese yellow and gross, lots of chopped onion, and tomatoes, refried beans, and the most bland canned chicken and sour cream and black olives. They were bland, and gross I couldn't take but may 4 bites. My son said his quesadilla was good but definitely not spicy. Honestly, I wish we had chosen anywhere else to eat. read more

Casa Del Taco is a Chillicothe institution. If that makes you think there must not be a lot of good food there, you would be kind of right. This is one of the better options in town. It's one of the few places to get anything other than barbecue or fried junk. The service is average but the food is cheap so it's ok. I had the vegetarian burrito combo. It's about $5 or so, it's pretty fair. The food is much the same as the other location. Combos include a drink and nachos. They also include cinnamon things that are like nachos tossed in cinnamon and sugar. It's funny that these restaurants are each located close to a Taco Bell. The locals seem to prefer this to that chain so good for them. If you go to the one on Bridge Street expect a line. It's one of the most popular options in town. This is much better than the chains and you support a local business as well. read more

A Chillicothe staple. The food is amazing and the breakfast blows every other fast food breakfast out of the water. I seriously cannot stress this enough. This is coming from someone who ADORES McDonald's breakfast. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, you will not find it here. Casa is in a league of their own. I like my casa nachos drowned in taco sauce. I have loved this place since I was a kid. I've since moved away and it's one of the places that I crave in Chillicothe when I can't be there. The casa nachos and Mexican chef salad are my favorites but all of the tacos and burritos are good too. I give the food a 5 star rating but I gave it 4 stars because frankly the building is a bit of a dump. It needs updated badly. However, because the food is so good, just go anyway. read more

This was my first visit. Some friends recommended it, so I thought I would try it. I ordered 3 soft tacos and a Coke. The ground beef doesn't have any seasoning or flavor. It just tastes like ground beef. I like how they fold the soft taco so everything doesn't fall out, but they put the lettuce and sour cream at the top. Your first bite it tortilla, lettuce and sour cream. I would rather go to Taco Bell than here. read more

First time eating here and I ordered the taco salad and it was by far the worst one I've had. No sour Cream and I ordered extra. Very little meat and the lettuce was brown. The size is very small, it reminded me of a small side salad. Needless to say I was disappointed and still hungry. read more

If you haven't been to Casa when you come to Chillicothe , can you even say you were in Ohio's First Capital? It's an amazing place and much better than those chain taco places. I enjoy dining at Casa Del Taco whenever I am in the Chillicothe area. They have a vegetarian section on their menu and the food quality and service is typically consistent. The prices are very good and they also have a drive through. Although I have never tried it. However, the trays are often wet and not properly dried off and the cups you get for the serve-yourself salsa are ridiculously small, which just creates more waste. I get the veggie been burrito combo and am never disappointed. Definitely worth a stop if you are on the Bridge Street part of town - otherwise head into downtown for some one a kind spots. read more

Like normal, I had a good meal at a good price. The staff was friendly and my cheese burritos were good. I love the avocado sauce. The pop also tastes good. The place was clean. I have mixed feelings about this place. It's a fine place, but I guess nothing special. I would definitely suggest it over a chain like Taco Bell, but don't expect a fine dining experience. Basically it is a fast food Mexican restaurant in a slightly broken down faux Mexican style building. Though nothing extraordinary, the atmosphere is nonetheless inviting and unique. The food is meh. Their tortilla chips have a unique texture that I really enjoy, and the salsa that comes with it is FANTASTIC, but from what I've had in their tacos and burritos, they are pretty average. My mom works in Chillicothe and this place has been around forever, so my and a lot of others' appreciation for it stems from a sort of nostalgic attachment. If you're looking for a cheap local meal, go for it. read more

I appreciate that the beans are actually home made...not some franken food that has been dehydrated in some factory and sent here to be reconstituted. The ingredients are fresh. Every time I go home, I visit this place because the food is always consistently fresh and good. It is basically a high quality Taco Bell. I love the crunchy tacos and the enchiladas. And the nacho chips are good as well. In my hometown, it is hard for small, non-franchise restaurants to make it. But this place has expanded to a 2nd location on Western Ave. So, hey, that is saying something. Funny thing about that 2nd location--it doesn't even look like a restaurant. They renovated a building that was used for tax services or something. And let's just say, they didn't do much renovating. read more

Most of the time I wouldn't complain but this experience was awful. The main reason why it was awful was new cause the cashier girl was super rude to us to start and threw the money back at us. Then she continues to stare at us and give us dirty looks. And then when we walk away she was talking about us to another employee. Basically a Taco Bell clone. Is it better because it's not a national chain or worse because most items come in styrofoam containers (even for "dine in" customers)? Do they score points for having habanero salsa or get docked because it tastes like slightly spicy tomato sauce? I had Combo #3: one crispy taco, one chicken enchilada, "nachos," a drink and two Cinna-Chips. Everything was mediocre at best, from the sparse and dry chicken on the taco to the greasy and kind of gross dessert chips. I expected a little more for $7 and honestly would have preferred a trip south of the border. Just a fried fish stick though inside. The employees were very nice and it's hard to complain too much given the prices. Half of the tables needed cleaned but over all the place was clean enough. Was in the Chillicothe area and decided to have something different for lunch when I saw Casa Del Taco. Thinking hey this is got to be better than Taco Bell I stopped l. The line was extremely long at lunch which is probably normal could mean that the food is really good. I had to repeat my order twice for the lady on the microphone to get it correctly. Once I got to the window they had forgotten what my order was ,however not what it cost. So I get my food and start driving down the road back to Columbus. My first taco was mediocrely warm. The second one was Stone Cold. The meat burrito wasn't anything to be excited about. So I call back and I speak to somebody who's the manager or they say they are on the phone, I explained my situation and how the food was not up to what I expected it to be. I paid with a credit card and asked for them to refund the money on my card. My response from them was I need to come back and they would refund it in cash. Seems a little odd to me that though I paid with a credit card though refunded in cash but whatever. However I'm not from the Chillicothe area and I was already on my way back to Columbus with no time to turn around and deal with this. So I called again and I spoke to the manager or owner named Tammy, immediately she goes on the defense saying that I must be the only one that had this problem because she served over two hundred tacos today. I again explained that I am not from Chillicothe and that it would be easier for her just to refund my credit card. Some small talk happened between her and an employee and she again said come and I'll give you cash for what you spend. you can see we're going around and around in circles here and not getting anywhere so after I explained why this iis not convenient for me. She hangs up on me. Naturally I call back and she's now extremely rude with me on the phone I explained to her that I had it recorded that she would refund my money and that I would contact the bank and have them reverse the charges. She then proceeds to use a lot of profanity towards me. Essentially telling me I don't care what the blank you do. I don't blank care.
