actually Gino's Coffee House not that anyone's counting... the foods look the same, the coffee…read morelooks the same, even some of the names on the menu boards are the same so maybe the business has just recently changed hands. just in town looking for lunch and after getting no suitable recommendations for chips and fish nearby I came in for fresh coffee and a little something else. the guy at the ice cream shop recommended the Rustic Reuben so I went along with that. turns out I really need to stop trusting people to make food (specifically sandwiches) correctly: some regional variation is expected when the name is appended but a connection to the original should be obvious. instead what I got was not exactly rye breads, not quite corned beef, and not even close on the russian dressing. the swiss cheese and the sauerkraut (which was rumored to be odd) were spot on though and it was a really good sandwich but it was utterly and entirely and emphatically ¡NOT! a Reuben!! so how about please just call it something else..? also a larger, kosher, and dill-er pickle spear would be fabulous.

Where do I start. I came in to eat pizza of course the staff SEEMED friendly. The cooks looked really serious and stare you down. I took a seat with my family service was good and when I was about to pay I saw a group of 4 elderly people coming in. Now this changed the whole topic. The lady's in front and the one charging me (especially the one with glasses) rolled her eyes and just gave a look to them like "ugh" annoyed. Like she didn't want to be there or take care of them. I was like what in the hell. Every customer should feel welcomed when they go to a restaurant. But no this restaurant didn't make no one feel welcomed. I'm starting to think she rolled her eyes when I entered this place. I just looked at her disgusted with the way she looked at those people. They seemed so happy and just looking at that lady not give a damn just makes me wonder why she's even working there. Pizza is okay. More like flavorless ish but 2/5 on the food. Service was a 3/5. I want to YELP out for Hometown Pizza!! I had a great experience today with their staff. I had a truck driver that was stranded today due to weight restrictions on WA roads. I called and asked for delivery of a pizza out to our driver but they did not have a delivery service. Here is where the story really turns GREAT! They staff went the extra mile when they took my order and helped make my drivers day. Never been to Hometown Pizza but if their food is as good as there staff was when taking my order I would love to go and have lunch or dinner there. This place is fantastic! Not only do they serve amazing pizza, bakery goods, breakfast sandwiches, and a great salad bar, but they also have chocolates, candy, root beer floats, coffee, Italian sodas, Rebels, and more! We specifically stopped at The Iron Grill because I wanted my dad to try the wings, which I had enjoyed in the past. From the moment we sat down, however, our server was extremely unfriendly and seemed irritated by even basic questions. We asked him to explain a few items on the menu, and he either didn't know the answers or acted as though we were inconveniencing him simply by asking. We ordered three orders of wings, and approximately 10 minutes later our server returned to tell us they were out of wings except for enough to make one order. We went ahead with the one order, and unfortunately, they were terrible and nothing like what I remembered. The biggest issue, though, was the flies. I am not exaggerating when I say there appeared to be well over 100 flies inside the restaurant. There were easily 20+ flies gathered along each side of the backs of our booth, and throughout the meal we were literally trying to protect our food and drinks from flies landing on them. It was extremely unpleasant and raised serious concerns for us about the cleanliness of the establishment. We also weren't given silverware or napkins until we asked for them. The drinks were another disappointment. I ordered a Pendleton and Coke, my dad ordered a dirty martini, and my girlfriend ordered a Washington Apple. All three drinks tasted watered down and were poorly made. What really sealed the experience for us was the service at the end. Our bill was approximately $120. I am normally a very good tipper and would typically leave $20-$25 on a bill like this. Despite how poor the service had been, I still left $10 because I have never been comfortable leaving nothing, and I also didn't know whether tips were shared with the kitchen or other employees. Our server then came back to the table, rudely tossed the receipt and change down, and said, "Here is your receipt and change." There was no thank you or anything else. The three of us just looked at each other in disbelief because it seemed very obvious that he was unhappy with the amount of the tip. After being treated that way, I picked up the $10 I had left and we walked out. This became the first time in my life that I have left a restaurant without tipping. As we were leaving, it also appeared that our server was discussing us with another waitress and other staff members, which was a fitting end to an already terrible experience. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for a place I have previously supported, but this experience was unacceptable from beginning to end. Between the attitude from our server, the lack of basic service, disappointing food and drinks, and an unbelievable number of flies throughout the restaurant, I can't recommend The Iron Grill based on our experience. I understand the restaurant is under new ownership, and I sincerely hope the owner takes feedback like this seriously because there is a lot that needs improvement. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning or giving this establishment our business again.
