Tried Hometown Pizza again after avoiding it for aome time due to poor food quality. The service was VERY good. Allison and what's his name were great. The new layout inside with a decent ambiance for dine in is ok. The pizza tonight was really good. Almost like what Tina used to make. Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time!! My husband and I are full time Rver's and try to find those local gems when we stop someplace. This place is definitely a gem! The food is great and the service even better!! We have been there twice now and had different things on the menu. The salad station is a build your own but not a buffet which I think is great! It is fresh and cold and choices are great. You get a ToGo container and glove to make your own salad, keeps gems off the utensils. There are 2 sizes but we have only done the small salad since we were getting a pizza as well. The breadsticks were just right! They were hot and cheesy without being over cheesed. The pizza, what can I say, is exactly the way a pizza should be! They have 3 different crust, we've had 2 of them so far, and a lot of different toppings and creations. The Hometown Favorite is definitely named correctly. We aren't shy people so we talked with several locals about the location and got only positive things back. We will definitely be visiting this place again, after all we have one more crust to try!! read more

We had ordered from Poppys in the past and told our friends how amazing it was! We didn't realize they had closed. They're Facebook steered up to Hometown Pizza so we thought why not! We had company from out of town and we were so disappointed. The chicken Alfredo pizza had the worst dried out chicken and powdered ranch. The pepperoni pizza was like cardboard. Not happy. It first started with the rude young man that answered the phone and took my order. He had no clue what he was doing or talking about and to make things even better, he hung up on me!! We have went to this place for years and like to support local businesses, however I will never order a pizza from this place again. We got breadsticks and they were black and burnt on the bottom. I called them and ask for them to be replaced. Once I return the breadsticks the manager argued with me and stated that's how they were supposed to be. He proceeded to tell me to get the f*** out of the business. He also stated they would not give me new breadsticks unless I paid for them. I told them I wanted to speak to the owner and he told me "good I am his nephew." The worst customer service I have ever seen. About an hour later the owner called me back. He offered no apology and again told me black burnt bread sticks are normal. He was equally as argumentative as the manager and very condescending. Completely unacceptable! read more

Despite living down the road from this little place, I've only had pizza from here once. What I can say from the first and only time I ate it, it was delicious and definitely recommend it to anyone getting pizza in Sanford/Midland area. The crust was baked just right, toppings fresh, and the sauce perfect. Our order was ready on time when my uncle went to pick our pizzas up (mother and I shared a pepperoni and olive) and he said the staff was very friendly.
