I had intended to try pasta Alla Norcina which I noticed last visit but the told me it's on the winter menu (I think that they were on the Spring menu). I spoke with the manager and he said to come back in two weeks and they will switch to the summer menu and that it contains his favorite pasta dish. We started talking about the Pasta Alla Norcinia and I told him my relatives are from Norcia Umbria and that I've made it several times. I told him I use Italian sausage and the manager said that the chef uses actual wild boar sausage. He said the chef has amazing connections for ingredients like this. They also have a full time pastry chef on staff and all their deserts are home made. I was informed that the chocolate ganache cake has had the longest run on the menu and never seems to come off so I tried that. It was delicious There are several items on the menu that I have to try. I took a few pictures of the Spring menu and I've added them below. The gulf shrimp is on my radar and I need to try the venison burger. I just need to get past the gyro lamb burger with tzatziki. It's just so good.

Our waiter had 4 tables and struggled to keep up. These tables were at various stages of eating/ordering/waiting for food and checking out. He seemed to struggle with excellent customer service. Perhaps it was running up and down the stairs . One table came after we got our food, and he was down to 3, and after sitting for 10 minutes they left. We will be back. Hoping for better customer service. We even cleared our own table and got our take out containers.

They have some pretty nice daily specials and didn't have to wait long for my sandwich. I tried the "Fiery Turkeyinator" which was the special of the day which came broccoli cheddar soup and a fountain drink. In years past Isabella's has been a fairly nice break from the standard resort/casino bar and buffets reaching up to 4-5 stars. There calamari was previously very good whereas during this last visit it seemed really pedestrian. The rings were deep fried alongside whole pickled cherry peppers filled what I'd guess to be mascarpone. The bruschetta was so so as was the service. The prices are however very fair! For my entree I ordered the NY strip and their garlic smashed. The steak was cooked properly and the mashed potatoes were garlicky but could've used a touch of cream. They were a little too pasty and translucent. My dad had ordered the risotto of the day along with the salmon. He liked his salmon and we both tried the risotto which was more of a kitchen sink risotto offering sausage, mushrooms and a host of other ingredients (honestly, our server just kept adding things to the list that I'm guessing the chef needed to use up). It missed the mark. That aside, whenever we're at SEC we always eat at Isabella's at least one night so I'll return to see what has changed on the menu on my next visit.

I wasn't hungry so I just got a mocha, which was tasty and served in a nice big mug. I was able to get a seat near an outlet which was nice. It looks like they may have some outdoor seating in the back for warmer months. The free wifi was fast and helped me get a lot of work done while I was there.
