Small company totally ready to go! In that course I was brerrated to no end, stripped of any authority for a managment positio, in 1 month my title changed to a lesser title. I was scoleded, told not to speak. To do nothing. Then I got put on as a telemarkter instead of the position I applied for. Sadly, I was doing EXACTLY what I was told and then would be yelled at for doing that. The person I was working for is crazy. When I say yelled I mean blood shrill yelling that made it difficult to understand even what was being said and or accused. NEVER in my life have I encourted someone so vile. I called Amanda several times and told her I didn't like it that I was being berated etc...She was presistent in me staying. Insiting the company felt like I was the right person and was happy to have me there. I asked her not to say anything and I know she did because the next day I was berated again and the same comments and language I used was shoved down my throat. It got to the point that I was dreading going to work and desperate when I go there. In the end I was asked not to come back much to my relief. Amanda told me they suspected the company was using me as a "fall guy" because the woman in charge is bat xxxx crazy. She with the man at Pridstaff said they had long suspected she was trying to control the company which was not hers or her job. Numerous other employees had been berated, including her counter part. So Amanda knew the entire time what I was going through, refused to find me a new position. So along side of the woman at the establishment, I was used as Pridstaffs puppet and fall guy. NEVER even offered to help me find another position. I'm now in a new position 9 months and it is going very well. It's a permenant position where I receive nothing but praises and I'm well received, loved and the people are amazing to work for. I understand temp agencies are working for the company but to dilberatly put someone in an abusive and stressful situtation is uncalled for and is abusive itself. I really liked the staff when I went in and was so excited to work with them but after my experience I would not recommend them and would strongly suggest if you don't like a place they put you do not ask just tell them to find a new position and you are not going back. That is what I should had done but I wanted very much to represent them well and to do well. There was no way that was going to happen working for the company they sent me out to. I was set up to fail. To boot I had a job before going to them I could had stayed at and stayed longer at until finding a stable person to work with and not have wound up with a bad "mark". Regardless of who their contracts are with this is a really lousy way to do business and to treat people.

As the business expanded, new accountants joined every year, but each year their competence seemed to drop. In 2025, while filing my 2024 tax return with La Rusa, I asked for an explanation of the numbers and why my taxes were calculated a certain way. I was told they couldn't provide a consultation due to being too busy and not having enough time to respond to all clients. After I expressed my frustration, the owner of La Rusa (who also runs a blog on Instagram) called me. However, the call provided no useful information--just general tax advice that anyone could find online. When I tried to follow up, I was completely ignored. My messages received no replies, and all communication is documented. In the end, I received nothing: no completed tax return, no proper documentation--just vague numbers shared in a chat with no explanation. I eventually terminated my relationship with them and will be disputing the charge, especially since I've now received a letter from a collections agency. Their fees are also nearly double what most other tax professionals charge, and the service simply does not justify the price. It feels like they only care about making money, not about the quality of work or client satisfaction. I strongly do not recommend La Rusa, especially if you filed your taxes with them after 2024--that's when the decline became very noticeable. Be cautious and protect yourself from poor service. Let's see what happens next--this is just the beginning of the fight.

My initial consultation with Mr. Sam's was very straightforward, pleasant, and professional. After that the customer service with other associate was lackluster, delayed, and just plain rude. They did not file my return in a timely manner which led to an unapproved extension that I had to inquire about as they did not even let me know. This after confirming with them we were on track to file. They had my documents for over 3 months. Mr. Sam's will not take my phone calls, even though I am receiving calls and letters regarding penalties from the Department of Revenue, and other outstanding balances. I voiced obvious concern and warranted frustration on the phone and via email. When I arranged to show up at the office, I was greeted by a secretary, holding out a sheet of paper from a door cracked open 3 inches terminating our business relationship, as if I was some kind of threat to their safety. This company is a complete joke. Their lack of customer service and professional considerations to my needs is unacceptable behavior in regards to someone who is supposed to be my advocate with the IRS and Department of revenue. This firm is either too short handed to take on new clients, or they simply don't value the needs of smaller businesses that don't have large billable hours.
