And the "Learn to Skate" program takes absolute beginners - even the most fearful - and teaches them to skate. And have fun doing it! Class size is kept to a very reasonable limit, and the staff to child ratio is fantastic. We also participated in the vacation "mini-camps", which were a great way to stay active over school breaks, and were a really good value too. Can't recommend this place enough!

Since you have to enter through the Cove Island guards. The ice was total crap. I watched a skating exhibition. There were 2 areas of the ice where people were constantly falling. Resulting in one chipped tooth and stitches in a forehead. The stands were really high making photography a breeze. The stands are heated.

Like many others, I spend my summers playing outdoors at a local club...and then turn to Rye Racquet for winter tennis access, which is why I do Cardio Tennis. It's great cross-training to all my running and a great workout. The pros always keep it fun and music helps keep me moving. In general, I can't say enough good things about the club. Beside Cardio Tennis, I have played in numerous Adult Ed programs at night. They have an incredible array of talented pro's and the facility is well-maintained...and the courts well lit, not to mention the willingness of staff to accommodate missed sessions. It all makes Rye Racquet my preferred indoor tennis choice.

I just wish the ice was a bit smoother because I don't think that the ice had been buffed all day so it was a bit tough to skate. It was about $17 to skate, which I did not think was too expensive for what you get out of the experience. The ice rink has plenty of lockers to store your stuff. Although the rink has lockers, I wouldn't recommend bringing many valuables.
