Negotiating on the trade in, the General Manager (dressed like a janitor) came to the salesperson's desk and was so immediately nasty that we ran out and bought it at Huntington Honda. I have been dipping my toe in the car buying pond for a couple of months now. This morning, however, something happened that made my purchase imminent. I had true car referrals, with price quotes, from three other local Honda dealers, which I took with me to the dealership in my own neighborhood, within walking distance of my house. Well, shopping locally proves to be the right option for this consumer. My neighbor did a little better than those quotes that I brought with me, took my trade in as part of my down payment, and sent me on my way with one of their highly-rated, sleekly-designed automobiles. I'm a happy customer. Just wish they could have gotten me out quicker. We can get all the information, forms and assurances they need immediately, with modern technology; so why does it take hours of sitting around. But, oh well, once per decade, I can wait. read more

They are always incredibly professional, friendly and are very fair with their prices. The absolute worst experience ever, I mean we all have bad experiences but nothing beats the horror of Honda city in Bethpage. I am a business owner and operator myself so I understand that sometimes there may be technical difficulties or delays but this is outright unacceptable. I have been faithfully dealing with Babylon Honda for over 15 yrs for all my Honda parts needs but on this day I needed a part that was not readily available at this location so I had them locate one for me at another local dealership. They found one at Honda City in Bethpage, so I called and verified the price and availability. Upon arriving there they made me wait over 20-30 minutes knowing very well we had spoken on the phone and discussed everything because I was in a hurry and needed to finished a repair on the Honda needing the part but they made me wait forever only to tell me that the price has doubled and they had no reasoning.. I ended up wasting my fuel time effort and energy because they wanted to take advantage of the situation. I can't imagine how many people they are robbing on a daily basis. I ended up calling Babylon Honda and getting the part delivered for half if not less than half the cost of Honda city. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in their ethic and morale. Took my daughter car shopping , She was looking to lease a honda civic. We sat with a salesman for a while getting the prices and seeing what deals he could give us. We spoke to the salesman for about 45 minutes and my daughter was not sure and we did not think that the deal was anything special. As we were getting up to leave the manager came over and asked if there was a problem and wanted to see if he could help or change the price a little to change are minds????? I felt like saying were where you 30 minutes ago when the salesman said this =was the best price. Car dealers are such crooks in general There is always a better price, You just have to fight for it. Absolute awful place, I bought a used car and of course it wasn't looked over before because not even a month later I have a flat tire and I need something called a wheel lock key that's supposed to come with the car, and it's nowhere to be found and I wasn't informed of this. I am very upset because I was told the wheels cannot be taken off of the car while that piece is not in the car and the car was sold to me. Fortunately I only got a nail in my tire and I could get it to a tire shop to get it plugged temporarily, but what if my tire blew out on the side of the highway. I am very upset and I will never again purchase a car from this place or ever refer a friend or relative to this place. read more

Got into the finance room with Maria and she genuinely made the car purchasing experience absolutely miserable. I spent a total of two days at this dealership when I leased my 2015 Honda CR-V. They took forever to set up paperwork and delayed everything by hours. When I purchased, the salesman told me I would be able to purchase a higher mileage package if I found I was going over my miles. Turns out that's not true AT ALL. Fast forward to maybe 8 months in and I realize I'm going to blow my miles before the end of the lease. So I call Honda to upgrade the mileage and they told me no such program exists. I was really upset and trying to determine what I was going to do. A few weeks later I got a call from the salesman who sold me my car at Honda City. He had switched dealerships and took all of my information with him. We're talking name, address, phone number, financials, etc. I naturally flipped out and told him that was illegal. His answer was he wouldn't call me again. I called Honda City and told them about my information being stolen. They asked me to come in. I met with the owner who seemed genuinely sorry and concerned that happened and said "our employees aren't supposed to take that information." As a solution he offered to buy my lease outright so I could finance a car. I admit, I didn't do my due diligence and didn't do enough research. I purchased a 2011 Ford Escape for way over the value. Two weeks in the truck wouldn't take gas. I called the dealership and they told me I must have gotten something stuck in it, like a pencil. No joke. I brought it in for service and they told me it would take over a day to fix and Enterprise would come pick me up for a rental. What they didn't tell me was I had to pay for the rental out of pocket up front. Again, I flipped out saying how that was deceptive and bad practice. They offered to pay for the rental car days later, but I never went back. Three months later the fuel line cracked and I spent $400 to fix it. Six months later the transmission died while I was driving. Another $2,800 to fix that. Two months after that the remote start started acting up. Every time I locked the truck, the remote start would turn on. I tried locking it manually with the key in the door, manually pushing the lock button down, using the automatic lock inside the car. Nothing worked. Spent $200 to have a mechanic download software to fix that. Two months later and not only am I having the issue again with the remote start, but now the SYNC won't update. The check engine light comes on constantly. Since replacing the transmission the car has never been the same. Now I'm upside down on my loan because they sold me a truck that has caused me nothing but problems basically since I drove it off the lot. Save yourself a nightmare and go somewhere else. read more

PLEASE, NEVER GO HERE. GO TO BABYLON HONDA, TRUST ME! Long story short: Honda City of Levittown is the most disorganized, rude, and unprofessional car dealership I've ever been to. They backed out of a deal I already signed for after ignoring my calls for 2 weeks (all I wanted was an update on when the car would be ready, the manager and salesman never returned my calls)! I even had the paid write-up receipt with a deposit that was signed by a manager and sales representative! I ended up calling Babylon Honda during this dispute (Rodney) and told him the story that they weren't responding to my calls. Rodney said don't go back to talk to manager or wait for them, bring your receipt they gave you, and we'll make this deal for you. I went to Babylon and Rodney made the deal happen, did even better with the pricing! They even gave me all weather proof mats. Honda city was so rude to me when I went there to get my deposit back. The GM never gave me an apology for wasting my time or an apology from the salesman or sales manager that signed off on the deal. They wanted my paid receipt back that they couldn't honor because they knew I'd go somewhere else with it and write a terrible review. They wouldn't give back my deposit without my write-up of sale receipt. I would not give it to them. One week after this, I received an email asking how they can move faster for me to buy/pick-up the car! Does anyone know what is actually going on there? The sales manager told me she never saw the paid receipt of sale, so what exactly do you do here? This was the second time I went there to buy a car and trade-in my other, the first time the manager told me I'm not ready to buy a car and walked away. I should've never gave them a second chance after that rude comment. Thankfully, Babylon Honda took care of me. I'll always refer them and give them my business. I never write reviews, but this was necessary. This place is so disorganized. I even emailed after them not returning my calls and their emails don't go through! Go to Babylon Honda (Rodney was great). They have more cars on the lot and have way more movement on pricing because of it. Even when you walk into Honda City of Levittown, you get a bad vibe. I'm usually willing to offer the benefit of the doubt, even if Honda City had a mediocre at-best reputation online. Sadly, my experience played out to the T as many others. Went with a specific used car in mind. Salesman Daniel was honest to questions and cleared me for a longer test drive. I ended up liking the car enough to talk money. Unfortunately, the sales manager was borderline rude and incredibly inflexible. I offered a price to begin negotiating based on wholesale value and the 50+ days the car had been on the lot. The manager budged just $200 from their posted Internet price before loudly ranting at me about their expenses running the dealership and that I'm wrong for trying to negotiate at a car dealership. We started about $4,000 apart and was met with derision and dismissal, even after bumping up my offer by $1,500 higher before walking away. (edited for clarity) I'm open to continuing negotiations via phone, but I have other leads which will actively be pursued this week. CROOKS. I've never written a bad review on a place, let alone TWO. I got my car serviced here in august for my condenser because my AC wasn't working. They fixed it and then fast forward about 3 weeks I noticed a weird noise in my AC. I took my car back last week to have the sound checked out and I mentioned that I was just previously there only a few weeks ago for the condenser. They literally told me that if they made a mistake on their part when they fixed my condenser they'd make it right. They called me after a few hours and asked me if anyone had touched my cabin air filter cover because it seems like it wasn't fully closed and a bunch of debris had entered the system.... THEY were the last people to touch it!!!!!!! They told me that all the debris had effected my motor blower and that it would be 400$ for the motor blower. Now today I went back to have the motor blower replaced and my invoice states that upon inspection my cabin air filter cover was off.... I JUST CHECKED IT LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS VERY MUCH SO ON!!! They also said that there was debris and stuff from my glove compartment stuck in the filter which broke the Motor blower. I truly think that they f'd up when they were fixing my condenser and now they're trying to cover it up by saying it was because I had too much in my glove compartment- even if my glove compartment items did get stuck in there, they only got stuck because the cabin air filter wasn't fully put back on BECAUSE OF THEM, nobody ever touched it besides THEM. 450 later and I'm NEVER returning. read more

They offered me $9K for trade-in on a car that is selling for $16K-$17K easily. Carvana just offered me $15,400 on the same car. Then they added $12K onto the sticker price of a new car. I realize the car market is a little crazy right now, but that's no excuse to try to take total advantage of customers. The new location is nice and the salesman was a nice guy. So if you're willing to get mugged on your trade and the price of the new car, it can be a "nice" experience. If you do a little homework and are conscious of the market and what your car is worth, then maybe not so much. They prey on those who don't care about money. Some people will stop at nothing to get a certain car. Not me. I'm not in business to help finance a beautiful new dealership. read more

They give you a hard time when you want price quotes for different models. 4. They don't allow you to leave with anything in writing, and any quote they offer will "disappear" if you leave the dealership 5. Got me an interest rate of 9% when everyone else was giving me less than 2%, plus hundreds of dollars in "financing fees" 6. Their service center will constantly push you for hundreds of dollars in repairs when you go in for a simple oil change - ask them to physically show you what they're talking about and then magically you don't need the repair anymore. read more

Lies, upon lies by the sales rep. Right to my face! When my bank hit a snafu with cutting the check, things really went array. My personal banker called him ( sales rep) to inform that the problem was on their end, and he actually HUNG UP on her! Then I called back only to get the inquisition! Value your customers?? The way I was spoken to was insulting. A total deal breaker. To their credit, the manager Micheil was professional and respectful in issuing the refund for my deposit. Worst car buying experience ever. After telling the 1st person what we wanted and the price range we wanted, we were pawned off to a second person. They quickly showed us some of the features on fhe car. The salesman drove us to the other lot to see which colors they had available. One of us was able to drive on the way back (lucky us, we got to test drive the car we were thinking of buying) We were rushed to look and decide. We were given a monthly payment amount, then told that they needed more money down and the payment would be higher. They claimed their bank said so. (A friend of a friend works at a different honda dealership and we were told that there wasn't any record of their bank being contacted about our deal) This dealership uses bait and switch... They rush you... Most unprofessional business I've dealt with. We went through another dealership and got the exact car we wanted for the price and payments we wanted. read more

Called there with an issue regarding my lease and the manager was rude and dismissive. They promise the world while they are selling malnutrition don't care to live up to the hype. They don't offer loaner cars while holding your vehicle and the techs weren't able to fix my car when it was damaged by a lot hole. They gave it back worse then when I brought it in and told me flat out that they can't fix it. When I asked the manger there about the loaner issue I was accused of trying to get things for "free". What he didn't understand is that I was more than willing to pay whatever the cost to just fix my car. I had a decent experience here .Till I got to the "Finance Manager" / Sales person number 2. She informed me that I would be better off Financing through there program rather than .paying cash . That I would be have " Compunding Interest" Even though the interest rate on the savings acct is only at 0.5% and there loan was about 3% ....After that she tried to sell me on the window tints and remote start.With there high mark up...No thanks.. Then she informed me that I should buy and "Extendend Warranty". That I won't be able to purchase afterwards..Well you can buy this after through a 3rd party,after the purchase.also without there mark up. I guess after she knew she wasn't gonna get extra commision of my she just became very annoyed and kinda just pushed me out the door.... SERVICE DEPT STINKS!!!!!!! and that's being polite. Called customer service- chick was unprofessional and down right rude! I don't need to spend my hard earned money for that, I can get that for free. My expensive Top of the line, V6 Honda Accord in in the service shop and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! I don't know what is the status of the car or anything. No one has bothered to call to tell me a thing. i have never been treated like this. i called the dealer in hopes they could get a hold of their own service dept---they were even more rude and stated" they aren't connected to the service dept". I purchased a pre-owned CR-V at Honda City Levittown 3 weeks ago. Thank god the car is good because the service was/has been AWFUL. The delivery date was 5 days after purchase (over Presidents day weekend) and they were unable to install the remote start i had paid for. However, i was not told this until i was 10 minutes from driving the car off the lot. No one had contacted me telling me this or giving me the option to leave it until it was finished. And they had already transferred my plates. So my only option was to schedule an appointment to have it installed. I was told by the finance officer Monica that i would get "a few free oil changes" for my trouble. I was told I could bring the car back to Honda City to install. That was a lie. Once the appointment was made i got a late evening phone call saying i now had to bring it to the service center 10 minutes further away. I also requested a loaner and was told no, i could wait because the install would take less than an hour. Quoted "at least an hour and a half" from the service center! Needless to say i was not waiting there to find out exactly how long (it took over 2 hours). I got a ride straight back to Honda City and went right to Monica's office. Not pleased that i had to leave my car there, i didn't plan on spending my whole Saturday morning there. i was given ONE oil change and a tire rotation and told i would be contacted about receiving some money back off the remote start. That was TWO WEEKS AGO and i have not heard anything since! I came back here since my experience was so good 10 years ago, but apparently much has changed since then. Its unfortunate but this will probably be the last Honda i buy. Definitely from this dealership anyway. read more
