Made an appointment online…read moreon Wednesday 1/1/25 - New Year's Day for Friday to replace my windshield at my home location from 8:30 - 12:00. Promptly at 8:15 AM Friday the tech called me and ask if he could pick my car and work on it at the shop because it was too cold to work outside. So, I told him I world bring it to his location in Westbury. Arrived after 9:00 AM, they took my car immediately. About 2 hours later all was finished, new windshield, all stickers replaced, and my E-Z Pass and all was recalibrated with safety features and camera. The tech explained what was done and no car wash, rotating tires or mechanical repairs for 3 days. They had all my insurances information which I submitted when I made the appointment. Luckily, I have full glass coverage. I was very impressed that they had my windshield which was shipped overnight since New Year's Day when I made the appointment was a holiday. They made the entire process as easy as possible even contacting my insurance company and processing the claim. Safelite is the way to go for glass repair, they are best at it. The staff were very polite, efficient and professional. They are Great!!!

Second crew that came was different and did an awful job replacing the windshield. Trim was marred, seals weren't fitted properly and the worst part, they put a nice gash on my A-pillar, did a sloppy job repairing it with touch-up paint and then lied that it was "already like that" when confronted about it. Further, when investigating a running-water noise in the windshield, found a chip in the edge of the windshield under the wiper cowl which was not disclosed to me. I respectfully gave them space to work, but I should have been hawking over them to avoid these headaches. I would recommend you go with ANY other windshield shop, even the big corporate shop probably wouldn't have done this poor of a job.

He told me that due to the climate and moisture it wouldn't be a perfect job and that makes sense as it was snowing with cold temps. He was very responsive via phone and on a Sunday helped to schedule me in and have it taken care of. I had most places that would push me out a couple of days and maybe have me get a new windshield. The crack was bullseye crack a little smaller than a dime and spread about 8 inches. The quoted price was very fair and much less than the big shops. All in all I have a new expert for any auto glass issues. Gotta love Yelp! He did an excellent job on all my windows. The cost was reasonable, he and his helper arrived as planned, and finished and cleaned up very well. You'll have to do some measuring in advance, send the dimensions to him, and then Jerry can give you an estimate. He'ss answer any of your questions and concerns, and is a very congenial guy. The first time they were closed, I mentioned it to the owner, and he said it was because the machines broke down. At least leave a sign at the entrance that you're closed due to mechanical issues. I won't stop going to this car wash, but I will not pay for a membership that I can't use when I need to use it.

Long story short (I hope!) ... as I was leaving for a family camping trip (daughter already buckled up, ready to go) I went to open up my tailgate window to place the last item in the truck and the glass shattered into a million pieces. My daughter was devastated as we were going to have to cancel the trip. Active Auto Glass is right down the block from me and I have heard nothing but raving reviews about them so I gave them a quick call. I spoke with James and explained the situation (fully packed truck with the kid ready to go on vacation) and all he said was "get the truck to me now, I will get you on your way." All he cared about was making sure that my daughter and I were not going to miss our camping trip. Now, this was a slightly older truck so I was worried that he would have to order the glass. James found the glass and had the glass driven in from Hauppauge to East Meadow while he prepped my truck so once it arrived he would be ready to go. I dropped the truck off to Active Auto glass around 9am, went home and cleaned up all the glass that shattered all over my driveway and received a call around 11:30 that my truck was done and we could get on our way. They handled everything, I didn't even have to call my insurance company ... Amazing service!! I am in the customer support business and wanted to say that Active Auto Glass provided my family with an absolutely exceptional customer experience ... hands down one of the best ever. I was looking online for a glass shop to replace the windshield in my Mercedes Benz. Since I'm a very picky person, reviews are important to me. So with a little research and a phone call, I felt comfortable leaving my car there. Since I had glass coverage on my car, they called my insurance company. The staff quickly guided me through the claims process and I did not have to pay any out of pocket expenses. As all the reviews stated the personal were very accommodating and my car came out perfect....stickers re- attached along with the ez-pass. Could not have been more happier. I've used them in the past for all my auto glass needs, but this time I needed them for a broken house window my little slugger put a ball through. Once again what a great experience, they came out in the morning for measurements and 3 hours later they were back installing the new window. Superb job, great guys.......highly recommend. I'm not sure where to begin on what a terrific experience I've had with Masters. I worked directly…read morewith the owner, Dean, after hitting a parked car during a snowstorm. I caused damage to my car and the other car. After a conversation with Dean, the person who's car I hit ALSO chose to work with Masters feeling comfortable they were in great hands. He was accommodating to both parties that we need our cars (have small children/constantly running around) and worked with us to make sure the repairs were done timely! Given the hefty bill I'd see for the amount of damage, Dean worked with me to understand my options around fixes and how best to keep this as cost-conscious as possible for both vehicles. The repairs on my car were done same-day and look good as new. While the car was being repaired, they noticed I needed an oil change and one of my windshield wipers wasn't working properly (was mis-aligned) and they did those fixes free of charge given all of the other fixes I was about to have to cover for myself and the other person's vehicle. I'm grateful to finally have a reliable shop I know is where I can go for anything automobile related -- big or small. Thank you, Masters!
