I been here a few times, the food taste amazing. It's usually a girl who takes my order (13-14yrs old). She's nice, respectful, and the food taste great. The place is really quite and nice. Very peaceful, as soon as you walk in you're able to take a seat, I love the place. Overall I love it, the place is nice, the waitress are respectful, and the food is lovely. 10/10 love it

Cozy family restaurant with delicious homestyle food. We got treated so well here we'll definitely back next time we're craving Honduran food I didnt get a picture of the soup because I straight dug into it but I highly recommend! Rica comida Hondureña y ambiente cómodo familiar

    Clean AREA

I found this place here on Yelp and it was close to my house so I gave it a try. Me and my girl went on a lunch date , the place was empty it was early , the place was clean . We ordered and food didn't take long and it was great it reminded me of my mom Baleadas . Friendly and prices were reasonable. I will be taking the rest of my family there .

Really good! Had dinner plans go sideways so ducked in here after reading good reviews and kinda…read moremaking sense of the menu. It definitely helps to know Spanish if you're going to read the menu and don't know Honduran food (me). The baleana is really great. It's kind of a thicker tortilla with more flavor, with refried red beans and a harder salty cheese crumbled. You kinda pick it up and eat it a little like a burrito. The basic one is baleana sencilla (simple), that was the best one. I also got the one that's just crazy, the Plus Pollo which is kinda everything you can find. It added egg, big chunks of chicken, and avocado. That was more than I needed, so coming back I'd probably get: Dos baleanas sencillas, una sencilla y una sencilla con pollo Then I'd probably break the chicken up between the 2 that'd be a pretty ideal flavor mix. The chicken chunks are really big and much less flavorful than the baleana. We also got the Pollo Mega and that was a big big leg of fried chicken sitting atop a big slaw of cabbage, pickled onions, and platanos - the tostones style that's more savory, not sweet.

There used to be a tall waiter with curly hair who was attentive and fast, but the current waitstaff didn't greet us and came off as unfriendly. The food itself was bad and felt like a misrepresentation of Honduran cuisine. On top of that, the music was extremely loud and the decorations felt overwhelming, making the space feel claustrophobic. My concern is that experiences like this give people the wrong impression of Honduran food and culture, which deserves to be represented with warmth, quality, and pride.

It's a place where you can get the most authentic cuisine prepared by chefs who didn't go to any culinary school but instead learned how to prepare food from generations to generations. I've never had Honduran food so when I heard of this food truck which is located just outside the Wilshire/Normandie Station, I made sure to catch them and see what they offer. I had the Deluxe plate consist of ground beef empanada, crispy chicken taco, and a Honduran bean and cheese quesadilla. For a first timer, this plate is a must have as it was served with three different items to try. As expected, it was really good. Prepared from scratch with skillful hands, using fresh ingredients, the plate had all the wow factor you're looking for.

I was in the area…read moreand passed by and there were several other lunch truck most with a decent amount of people. I did struggle to find parking and ended up parking about a block away on one of the side streets and paid metered parking. I stood in line about 3 people deep, ordered a baleada made of beans, cheese, cream, egg and avodado. $6 add a bottled mexican coke, $4 total $10 After i ordered I waited 15 minutes to get what I call a glorified taco/burrito. Over priced for what it is. A large flour tortilla, with a few beans, a little cheese, some cream a scrambled egg and a couple of slices of avocado. One is not filling. I am not knocking the flavor but really....personally I would rather have 3 street tacos or a burrito. Their baleado with chicken was $7 I think maybe $8, but in short, I think we can all find decent burritos for that price. Honestly, I apprecaite food from any country provided it has taste, quality and most of all authenticity of some sort. I get it is hard to make authentic food when you cannot locate the herbs and spices or if they are hard to find or even if most people in this great country of ours do not consume some of the foods eaten in those countries. However, beans and cheese......really? I think the tortilla used was good, nice texture and fluffy, aside from that, it was truly nothing special or different from what I have had in various Salvadorian, Guatemalan or Mexican restaurants for a lesser price and honestly better taste. Again, my opinion. If you are not sheepish about being on a busy intersection and also getting a wiff of what areas where homeless people live, then be my guest, stop and get a baleada or any other dish they sell. I would recommend this place just to try, service was good with a little wait, but overall, they had their regulars and ethnic people stopping by.
