Came on recommendation from my Honduran friend. Place is spacious and has a parking lot which is nice. First time ever having Honduran food. Friend recommended the baleadas as they are a staple. I got the baleada regular which comes with beans dry cheese and sour cream. They are extremely simple but delicious. The beans have so much flavor and the tortilla is well made. They also have the option of putting egg or meat or both inside as well. I also chose the tajadas because plantanos are one of my fav foods. I got the carne molida even though I saw from reviews that the chicken was popular. I just couldn't handle fried tajadas and fried chicken but I def should have went with the chicken. The carne molida wasn't great but edible. I didn't eat much of it. The rest of the dish was delicious... freshly fried thin plantain with thinly sliced cabbage, a light salsa roja, pickled beets and onions and a mixture of tomato, onion and bell pepper. It was refreshing although the tajadas were fried. Def can be a two person dish! Also tried agua de guanábana and it was bomb. Def very filling, homey food. Will be back to try the pollo catracho, casamiento and the sopa de camarón con coco!

I am not going to lie they have really good food but they treat the consumers bad me and my friend ordered two more plates the brought them all wrong and when we asked they got mad then we ordered three orders to go they just gave us 2 of them after that we called them and they said is not their fault Pollo Con Tajadas.

This is the men's bathroom disgusting hand sink.

I have been coming to this establishment for so many years and the service has been okay, however during my last visit I received the rudest service. The waitress that attended us that day charged my husband $5.00 for a measly side of jalapenos!!! We also notified her that the men's restroom was filthy and the hand washing sink in there had throw up in it. She did not do anything about it, which really goes to show how much they care about hygiene. Do not come to eat at this disgusting restaurant!

The Bolliadas were amazing! My boyfriend got one with everything and I got the regular one. Both were very flavorful. The Casamiento de carnes was super filling and the meat was very juicy. Overall I enjoyed the ambience and the service provided. read more

This place is amazing and I feel it's on its way to greatness. The food was all cooked on point and it really was authentic Honduran food. The breakfast eggs were cooked to a perfect medium rare, which is not easy to do. We got the casamiento and it was just like the ones we got in Honduras, even better than some of the restaurants there. The rice and beans were really tasty, the chirmol was fresh, and the beef steak was delicious and also resembled the way they do it on Honduras. With this and the music, you really feel like you have been transported there for a moment. This will definitely be one of my go-to Honduran places! Thanks guys, for bringing a bit of Honduras to LA! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE UGH, but the food is absolutely amazing, i ordered two traditional baleadas and the pollo en tajadas, I went with my mom for the first time today and had a horrible experience with a waitress, i called in advance to order and eat in the restaurant and on the phone i asked if i could have the sour cream on the side because i don't like sour cream but my mom does. when we get there our food was ready and we noticed they didn't give us our sour cream on the side that we asked for. the waitress said , the one who spoke to you is new she didn't know, but no you can't put it on the side that's a separate order in a very rude way. my mom was like okay fine whatever but think about it the baleadas come with sour cream WE JUST DONT WANT IT INSIDE like why did she make it so complicated and aggravating! later on it was time to pay. when i received my bill she only asked if it was credit or debit, i said credit, when i got my receipt she asked me to sign and i noticed she was charging me 2 extra dollars for using my credit card which she never mentioned to me about. i told her you never told me it would be two extra dollars, if i wouldve known I would've payed in cash. (there isn't a single sign in the restaurant that says that extra money would be charge for using a debit or credit card) she said okay that's fine and snatched the pen and receipt out of my hand and stormed off without saying anything else. my mom and i didn't feel comfortable leaving the place without putting the amount of money we were going to pay and without my signature. so we're waiting in the front to tell someone what just happened and they have the hardest time finding her to come to the registry to confront and ask her what happened. when she finally showed up after avoiding us she acted oblivious like if nothing happened and we confronted her in front of the staff. we're confronting her that she shouldn't of treated us so rude and with a nasty attitude, she kept fighting back with us and said oh i'll pay you the money and we made it clear that it wasn't about the money that bothered us, it was her attitude and when i start realizing the receipt copy she had that was ours i take a look! SHE FORGED MY SIGNATURE OH MY GOD I WAS FURIOUS and the funniest part is response is THATS NOT ILLEGAL LIKE WHAT?! laughing too like how immature and arrogant do you have to be to deny the fraud you just committed. not only did she charge more money that she didn't tell me was i was going to be charged but she stormed off saying that's fine and forging my own signature after i didn't even write anything down. it's a shame the bad experience i had they need to hire more considerate people and with the right attitude because it's not our fault she was having a day of dealing with troubling customers. thank you for reading my experience i share this to notify that yes the food is amazing just don't order to eat there lol.everyone else was very helpful and nice we just got bad luck with our server/ waitress read more

I love this place. The Fried Chicken plate is Delicioso. This place has the home style cooking feeling. Definitely not the commercialized main stream cooking. The fried chicken is well seasoned and has a crispy coating, the meat is full of flavor and drizzled with a dressing that gives that extra kick. It comes with a side of fresh fried plantain chips and cortido, making it an amazing dish. The restaurant is split in half. One half is the restaurant side and the other side is a dance floor. I haven't been to the restaurant in the evening to see how it gets. But if your out there looking for an authentic Honduran dish, this is definitely the place to visit. read more

I enjoyed coming here and ordered my food and it turned out all great. Everything here is all Honduran, which is what the restaurant represents. Only minor downside is pay8ng with card. They charge a fee for it as the last time I ate at the restaurant, they charged me $10 more. Overall, it's good. read more

Food was great. Service was good. Huge parking structure. Only thing you cant tell it is the place you are looking for at night if you have never been there. Its very dark and the name of the restaurant doesn't have lights or stand out. Just make sure you see it on maps before you pass the building like I did. read more

First time having Honduran food and love it. Very different from Mexican food, that's for sure. Prices great, live music, wonderful atmosphere. I had the conch coconut soup which was amazing. Lots of flavor, and portions huge. The drawback is that this is CASH only place...so be prepared!!! read more

First of all customer service sucks. They are rude and not attentive at all. I ordered tajadas de pollo and tajadas de Res both portions were very small for the price I paid. If only they would've chopped up the meat for me I received idk what part of the chicken full and a piece of steak on top of plantains if I didn't live so far I would've returned it and ask for a full refund I felt ripped off 35 dollars never again would I waste my money there read more

I love this place. The service is fantastic. The food is out of this world. Try the Honduran breakfast with carne asada. The flour tortillas are amazing. They were so cute...my hubby asked for a large glass of milk with his dinner. They brought it warmed up...actually hot. I thought that was so cute. HELL YEAH!!!!! I used to frequent the old location down by Slauson and ever since they closed that location, I missed coming to this place so much. I haven't eaten here (yet), but I always love coming to dance. If you are into punta, reggaeton, cumbias, bachata, and more punta...then this place is for you. If you don't care that the place is a restaurant by day and night club at night, then this place is for you. Can't wait to go back! read more

The food was pretty good honestly, flavorful sort of salty and the service was just ok the waitress just took the order and didn't really care after but oh man the wait was awful we waited about hour to get our food and we didn't really feel welcomed there to beginning with and for what we paid it wasn't worth it so it's a NO for us to dine here again. read more

I am disappointed with my first meal, as there was no solution or compensation offered by the staff. Overall, my experience was not satisfactory. It's kind of a thicker tortilla with more flavor, with refried red beans and a harder salty cheese crumbled. You kinda pick it up and eat it a little like a burrito. The basic one is baleana sencilla (simple), that was the best one. I also got the one that's just crazy, the Plus Pollo which is kinda everything you can find. It added egg, big chunks of chicken, and avocado. That was more than I needed, so coming back I'd probably get: Dos baleanas sencillas, una sencilla y una sencilla con pollo Then I'd probably break the chicken up between the 2 that'd be a pretty ideal flavor mix. The chicken chunks are really big and much less flavorful than the baleana. We also got the Pollo Mega and that was a big big leg of fried chicken sitting atop a big slaw of cabbage, pickled onions, and platanos - the tostones style that's more savory, not sweet.

The location is street parking only and on a high traffic street, so be weary of crossing. There is a crosswalk near the restaurant corner, but be sure to triple check to avoid being run over. The food was amazing. My friend is from Honduras and said this reminds him the most of authentic food from his home country. The Baleadas are a must order. Fresh flour tortilla with refried beans, crema, and cheese. A super simple dish, but amazingly tasty. They do have a few alternate fillings (add eggs, meat), but I'm told the original is best. I also tried the Honduran Enchilada. It's not as you'd expect, since the majority of us are accustomed to Mexican style ones. These are a fried tortilla, topped with their beef/potato/carrot mix, cabbage, red sauce, and tomato - and side of pickled onion. A tasty dish, but a bit rough to eat. Definitely a knife and fork situation. Pupusas.... wow. The masa layer is relatively thin so you can taste the massive amount of filling inside. These are the best pupusas I've had. It's served with red sauce and cortido. Crema is available as an extra side order, if needed (it's not needed). Only 4 fillings are available, but they are made quite nicely. They do take some time to arrive (menu warns approx 20 min), so be aware if you're in a rush. Be sure to order it a bit well done if you like crispy crust (yes!). The restaurant feels like a small family location and service was great. Cash and card are accepted, but if you do card, please bring cash for the tip! The credit card machine doesn't provide an option to add a tip (a rarity in today's tipping war...). The service was outstanding and we were glad to have brought cash for that! Definitely a must visit if you're a fan of Latino food in general. A katracho restaurant is definitely rare to find. It's quite a bit more different than the usual dishes I've had elsewhere.

The freshness of the cucumber and herbs cutting through the rich sauce balanced it out. The pan fried pork buns however were rather forgettable. The meat was juicy but I was left wanting more flavour in both the meat and the buns. I also wish the bottoms were a bit crispier. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast menu and other items though. Because peeking at the other tables they offerings looked delicious.
