Anyone who needs-not good mechanics-EXCELLENT mechanics, you NEED to go to Kelly's Automotive. These guys do not rely totally on computers to tell them how to repair what's wrong with your vehicle, as they are very skilled mechanics that know how to skillfully troubleshoot using their brains! I have a mint 93 Lexus SC400 that Firestone had for EIGHT days throwing over $1200 in parts and labor at before calling me to have it flat towed back to my house because they couldn't figure out why I had a crank but no start issue. I got it back to find they had also killed my battery! Sucked for them as well because it was replaced by me @ $150+ and payed for by the manager, as well as all parts and labor. I reached out on Facebook and was referred to Kelly's by a friend. Kelly's had my Lex up and running in under 48 hours! Extremely fair price which was all spent on time it took to troubleshoot-no parts needed-and even installed a new battery terminal clamp at no charge, which I knew I had an issue with, but forgot to mention!! Love that!! In the end, it was the computer terminal connection not being cleaned after Firestone installed a new computer! Kelly's is now my go-to Mechanics for anything I need done on my classic Lexus. I would give 10 stars if I could! read more

I had a issue with my car. ac air was warm. I told themb call me before fix the issue. They didn't call me or let me know what is the issue. They didn't find any leak they just recharge the ac and over charge. I am very disappointed. not going to business with them anymore. read more

When the prior owner (Gary) was there it was a shop that you could trust. No anymore. I was recently told I need brakes and went to another shop for a second opinion. They said I have plenty of brakes left. I was also quoted over $1600.00 for an oil leak that my new shop just completed for under $300.00. No Thanks! Took my car to Kelly's Automotive, car wouldn't start, we put it on the charger so I could take it to auto zone so they could check my battery, he said battery was good, he thought the alternator was drawing from the battery. On my way home I noticed the alternator light on. Took it to Kelly's they had it for a week and a half. i told them the alternator because the light was on. They said battery was good alternator was good, they don't know what is drawing power from the battery. I called and they told me they called and then they called again and left a message. That never happened, he repeated my number and my husbands back to me, and I told him there were no messages or missed calls. I will hopef soon find out what the problem is when I take it to a different place. read more

I took my car in because there was a noise coming out of the back end. They told me I needed new shock absorbers to the tune of $700. While replacing the shock absorbers, they called me and told me my oil pan was broken and "pissing oil everywhere". They then told me it would be another $800 to replace it on a 2018 Malibu. I told them to replace the shocks and do not touch my oil pan. Immediately upon picking up my car, I took it home and placed a white sheet under the car. It sat there for a couple of day and not a drop of oil was in it. I then let it run for an hour just to see what would happen. Still no oil. To make matters worse, the noise in the back end of my car is now worse than when I brought it in. If they do any repairs on your vehicle make sure you ask to see the broken parts they removed. If they can't produce them, the work wasn't done. My son, against my advice brought his Malibu there to have his brakes replaced. The shop called me on a Monday and said they ordered the parts and the car would be done Tuesday. They also told me that all 20 lug-nuts were broken and they were refusing to work on the car unless I agreed to buy 20 lug nuts for $200! I questioned them and made them repeat that 20 lug nuts all broke at the same time and they said they were ALL broken so I agreed to have them all replaced. On Tuesday I called and left several messages and didn't hear from them all day. Wednesday morning, I called and sent a text. No response. I called several more times no answer or call back. Milton closed everything Thursday so I knew I wouldn't hear back. Friday, I called again three times before I got someone on the phone. They tried to tell me because of the hurricane on Thursday, they didn't get the parts on Tuesday and were too busy to call and let me know they weren't going to have my car ready or that they would be closed on Wednesday! They said they'd have the car ready for 2:00 and would call me as soon as it was ready. By 3:00 we hadn't heard so we drove over. When I got there I asked to see the broken lug nuts. I was first told they didn't think they had them. I told them that was going to be a huge problem for them. After consulting with someone out back, they brought out the lug nuts. Here's a shocker. Only 3 were broken. The others were perfectly fine. They told me I needed to replace ALL of them because someday they might break too!!! I demanded they put all the old ones back on but the three broken ones and I stated I would pay for those. He told me it would be HOURS before they could put them back on. I told them I was extremely upset that they: 1. Never told me the car wouldn't be ready and didn't return any of my calls on Tuesday. His response was he was too busy and the hurricane, which hadn't even formed yet, delayed the parts coming in 2. They lied about all 20 lug nuts being broken and he laughed! 3. If they refused to replace the lug nuts immediately I would do it myself in their bay He did eventually swap all the lug nuts back and took them off my bill. He was trying to charge me for the labor to replace the lug nuts again and after an argument he waived that fee. Beware. They will be extremely deceitful and try to up charge you with unnecessary repairs. Always ask to see broken/replaced parts. I wouldn't use them if I were you. They are not trustworthy. read more

My mom and I dropped her car off last week Tuesday no appointment mom's fault by Thursday we had an idea of the issue. Spoke to Jesus he said since there was no appointment we had to wait till Thursday - Friday. I called mid of Thursday and they were very informative from the beginning of what it was at the time they were doing a diagnostic and they called us with the ending result and we proceeded the car was fixed and ready by 430pm and I appreciate the honesty. i've used this auto shop for 30 years. always fair till now. i took truck in tues at 0815 to get tires . i finally picked up truck 4th day in morning. Thur they called and wanted more money for tires. so my truck sat with nothing done for two days. I was upset not so much about costing more if they called on Tues afternoon not Thur and they should know cost tires when you come in. That there job!!!! Used to take my vehicles to Kelly's all the time but ever since Mr. Kelly retired and sold the business it may still carry his name but not the same quality service that we came to know and trust. Last visit was may last as had just an oil change and regular check up, they forgot to reset the computer and kept getting the notice oil change due, when I took it back it was like it was my problem - it still was not corrected so took it to another mechanic who reset it properly for me. Also, when I left I went to spray the windshield and nothing came out, figured that was strange since they said it was checked and fluids topped off, well come to find out the fitting on inside of the hood somehow got broken off so the water was spaying inside the engine. It was not like that before I took it in. I have some similar issues with my other two vehicles but thought it was just a fluke, not after 3 strikes - on to to someone else now. read more

This is the place to take your car. I have been here several times and have never been steered wrong. Their honest and that's not something that happens with Auto repair shops. Especially for women. I thought something was wrong with my car. So I called them told them to look it over as I heard a noise. They did just that and even drove it. They said nothing was wrong and everything was ok, they even checked the fluids too. Now they could have said anything was wrong just to get money, but they didn't. While visiting from NY, I had a few problems with my Toyota and a family member recommended Kelly's. After looking up their Yelp review, I was convinced to bring my car over to their shop. (Still holding my breath a bit). They fixed the 2 problems I had with my car (headlight and Air conditioning), and were very reasonable with price. I brought my car back again about a month later to install a much needed wheel bearing (something they notified my about in the previous visit) and they took care of that problem at the promised estimate even though they had an extra challenge removing the part due to it really being rusted on tightly. Franklin had listed a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Crew Minivan 4D $8,000 on Facebook marketplace. I contacted him about buying the van, and he sent me the address. My husband and I agreed we liked the van and was in great shape, Franklin said he test drove it and made sure everything was in great shape. We drove the van to St. Pete, two hours from our home, and on the way back the tranny started lagging, we noticed tranny fluid in driveway and called AAMCO since Franklin had said the sale was as is, there was no point bringing it back to him. I texted him and told him and he said the van was fine when he drove it. I told him, I knew I would not get any money back but I will leave a review !! I have been going to Kelly's for 15-20 years. While married and as a single woman. My car completely shut down at a stop light. The computer chip died and my warranty had JUST ran out. So I had it towed to Kelly's who said the part was $1000 plus labor but they called Toyota and found out the computer stuff warrenty was a separate warrenty and I was still under it for 100 more miles. He told me to tow it to dealership where it would be covered at no charge. They could have charged me for that service. I'm the one that said the warrenty expired. The first time I went here I had a good experience however this past time was very awful. I dropped off my car on a Friday morning and when it came close to closing time I had to call them to get an update. They said due to the fact it's a foreign car their guy wouldn't be able to finish it until Monday. Fine Monday came and same thing I had to call them for the update and they stated Tuesday it'll be good to go. Tuesday came around and I had to call them when it was close to closing time and they stated the mechanic ran into some issues so it'll be ready Wednesday by 8 or 830 the latest. I waited to see if they would call me and they ended up calling me at 11am. I've never been to a mechanic where I literally had to call every time I needed an update on my vehicle or one where they were so off on the estimated time it would be complete. Being fairly new to the area I didn't know of any good mechanics when my car was in need of repairs and out of warranty. A co worker recommended me to Kelly's since he's been using them for years . These guys know their stuff ! I told them over the phone what the dealer recommended for repairs and the cause of the problem and Jason just over the phone thought part of the dealers diagnosis was rather sketchy. Jason got me an estimate for repairs which were way lower than what the vw dealer wanted ! So not even stepping foot into Kelly's I'm already a happy camper ! Scheduled my appointment for the day after dropped my car off in the am and it was done by evening and $ 50 under the original estimate ! We went today at Kelly's because of vibrations in the steering wheel. We feared a problem of cardan joints or shock absorber, anyway something expensive. We had no appointment but waited just 20 minutes, a man made a short test of the vehicle and told us it was just a problem of tires. As he said, we changed the 4 tires and now everything is perfect ! So we paid nothing at Kelly's and got the right advice : who could ask for more ? If we have another problem with our car, we'll go there again. Thank you Kelly for you precious help ! read more

I have taken my vehicle to Kelly's Automotive many times. The crew is very nice however, I question their work. A few months ago I took my vehicle in for a new radiator. After the job was complete, I noticed transmission fluid leaking everywhere. The transmission line was not hooked up to my radiator properly! I had to go back so the job could get done the right way. Just recently, I took my vehicle in for a tune up and a new thermostat. After that job was done I noticed antifreeze leaking everywhere. The thermostat was not installed correctly! Once again I had to go back so the job would get done correctly. I am not impressed because the job never seems to get done properly and I always end up taking my vehicle back to them. read more

I like the way I was treated when I was there. However, they recommended me to get my transmission drained. Look this up online and read what other mechanics think. I was concerned because I had a car with high mileage in the past whose transmission went bad very immediately after having that done. Well, my current car isn't old but has high mileage. At my last oil change, they said my transmission fluid was dark and needed to be changed. Since this last change, my check engine light came on. Went to my car dealership and I need a new transmission. I asked them if it could be related and they said they don't recommend any sort of flush for transmission (I'm not talking about the forceful kind) if it hasn't been done at regular intervals and they explained why. I went online and the forum for my car agrees. I don't have a special car. So, I now need to spend $3k for a new transmission because there are metal shavings in my fluid. When i went here for the oil change and got the flush, I asked during my oil change if I should be concerned about having this kind of service, explaining my previous VW experience and they said it was fine to do. When I picked up my car, the person took two other calls and told them both they needed transmission flushes. It seems like more of an up sell but who knows? I just think they should consider the history of a car (mileage) before recommending this service. If you are unsure, please look this up as it is a concern. So, I won't be back but they were nice when I was there. I don't feel the need to contact them because who has ever heard of a shop fixing a transmission in this situation? I would recommend but be firm and cautious. This is an expensive outcome for me. read more

Took my ford ranger in due to running rough. They had my car for 2 days and could not find out what was wrong with it. Due to being on vacation I left my truck there for 4 days. On the third day they called me to tell me that I needed a valve job which was going to be $1800 to $2000 dollars. I told them no due to the age of the truck did not want to put that much money into it. Picked my truck up Monday morning and on the way home it started to run so rough I could not go more than 40 mph. Took it to the Osteen garage and within 15 minutes they told be it was the ignition coil. I waited there for an hour while they changed it. I was out of the within 1 1/2 hours and a cost of $170 and it runs great!!!!!! Will not be going back to Kellys !!!!! read more

This waa\s a very disapointing experience! I left my car for a the entire day, left it at 7:30 am and picked it up at 5 pm, for an oil change a two other mechanical issues. I called several times during the day to determine the status and was told they were "very backed up and had not gotten to my car." I arrived to pick up my verhicle at 5 pm and was told that they had not been able to get to the work and had only changed the oil. It was clearly obious that my vehicle was simply parked out in the field and not even looked at. This company is obviously takng in more work that they can accomplish and is "cherry picking" the most profitable work. They did not not even give me the courtesy of a phone call all day to inform me that they could not get the work done. I'll never go back! read more

most times they do good work. the last time im not sure if the mechanic was being greedy or what. he said i needed all new spark plugs and wires which would run $900.. yes $900. i already had new plugs in there. they said the plugs were on in the wrong order and made it sound like the end of the world. I said no and fixed it myself. I had one bad plug wire that got too hot and cracked. thats all the problem was. Cost me $40 and about 30 min of time. not sure if i can trust going back there again. read more
