Captain Mark is a crook. I paid him to coordinate shipping for my 1958 Oldsmobile from Lakeland, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. A very popular route, and a very easy load, as the car is not a show car and it drives fine. The only time that car was available for pick-up was on the weekend and he assured me that he could do it and make it happen within two weeks. I had to wait nearly two months for my car to get shipped. Every time I called Mark he would assure me that he is taking care of it and that it would be delivered that following Monday. That Monday would come, and I would call the gentleman that I purchased the car from and he would inform me that the car is still sitting in his driveway. I even called Mark to confirm that the car would be picked-up every weekend and while he would pick up the phone on the weekend, like I said earlier he would say that everything is planned and that he has even confirmed with both the transport driver and the gentleman I purchased the car from. But when I called them, both the transport driver and the gentleman I purchased the car from did not have any notice from Mark. I actually called several transport drivers that Mark had told me were specifically scheduled to pick up my car on specific weekends and they all didn't have a clue who I was, what car they were picking up and where to pick it up at. Mark does not care about his customers, he thinks that if he makes one phone call or two he has completed his job even though the car has not been shipped. I eventually had to threaten him to give me the name and number of a reliable transport driver that drives that route. I had to coordinated everything myself with the transport driver and who I purchased my car from, basically I had to do what I had paid Mark to do. Trying to get my money back from Mark has been a living hell. He claims he has done his job since the car has been delivered, even though he didn't do anything and it was I that did all of the work. Oh, when the car finally got delivered, apparently Mark had called the transport driver and told him a different shipping price that was $50 higher than I had originally expected. I couldn't blame the driver because that was what he was expecting when he decided to take to job and Mark had just flat out lied. If you are reading this review, I would highly recommend that you do not do any business with Captain Mark and Honest Auto movers, because Mark is anything but honest. And he will more than likely get on here and post a response that lies about me and I will not be able to defend myself since I will never get back on this reviewing website, There are thousands of other auto transport brokers that are truly honest, so dont take a chance on Captian Mark and Honest Auto Movers. read more

PLEASE LOOK AT THE TEXT EXCHANGES I POSTED. I waited over a year to write this review because I wanted to make sure I NEVER hear from this man again. He is scary, dishonest, aggressive, and clearly not in the right frame of mind. In the summer of 2018 my mom did me the favor of looking into having my car shipped for a out of state move as I was planning other aspects of my move. When she heard from "Captain Mark" at Honest Auto Movers, we were still in process of deciding if he was a good fit. Please note: we were NOT referred to him as he claims in his response. *Ultimately we found someone else-please see my glowing review for that company, they were stellar and in no way connected to Captain Mark. Captain Mark's services were never used for my car, another false claim he makes in his response.* Anyway, when he was informed that we went with someone else, that's when the harassment started. He called/text my mother on her phone CONSTANTLY and THREATENED her saying he was a federal agent, that he would continue to HARASS her, and threatened us saying my car would never make it to its destination. I got wind of this when I overheard my scared mom on the phone. I took the phone from her and blasted him for his conduct. I have never been so angry or had to raise my voice at someone providing a service. I was beyond enraged because as I was telling him he was out of line, he kept making threats. After I got off the phone with him, he continued contacting my mom (via email and text) to the point where we had to call the police in our area to report it. The police then contacted him and informed him to stop all contact. The police also let me know they felt that he was "off his rocker" and that he was also making grandiose claims to them (he was a millionaire, etc etc). I have included the screenshots of the texts he sent and his email signature to prove those texts came from him directly. BEFORE YOU READ THIS PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO SECTION AND THERE ARE 3 picture messages between myself and Mark. I'm not sure where to start. I will say do not use this company. I got a quote from Mark for $800 through an email. He later then told me I wasn't following directions. I eventually got frustrated after only working with him for 2 days he told me to call him back every 2 hours and after about the 5 call of "call me back in 2 hours and there was no solution. I can go on and on about what happen. But here are photos and text messages once I told him to send me my refund and take me off the board so I can work with someone else. This was the last he texted me when he thought I was working with Mercury which was not the case because I had stopped working with mercury. My price went from 1100 to about 1200 without my knowledge. I have worked with Mark on two separate occasions and am very grateful for his help. Our first transport he arranged two cars to be shipped from CO to FL in minutes after we were unfortunately scammed by another company. The cars were delivered very quickly and safely. After we received news we were re-locating back to CO from FL, we contacted Mark again. He set up the transport at a cheaper price than he initially thought and when our carrier's truck broke down, we lived close enough to Mark to where he personally saw to our car getting onto the truck after we left the state. We are so happy to have been lucky enough to work with Mark and the incredible work that he does. read more

Mark the thief ,Freud,scammer,he will be reported and sued for his scamming act. i bought a car from a dealer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but transportation is on the buyer. so i went online to get some quotes. also i requested a quote from transportation broker(Mark ) that i dealt with before(even though we agree first time on price after i paid the deposit i end up paying 150 more than agreeing price). i think he got upset because didn't go with right away, and started send me all kinds of text ,that i should go with him ,and i have to pay him upfront in full . then send me a quote for a company ready to pick my car ,i rejected that and told i assign different broker. then what he did is send a driver and picked the car from the dealer,then send me the price(basically he send a driver and kidnap my car and asked for ransom) . hear the problem started,where i never assign him to do that,and when i disagree to pay his asking price ,he dropped my car at the impound place ,where i had to go and pay the scammer broker full price plus the impound storage fee. where i already paid the broker i assigned the booking fees,where he also refused to refund my money. and i have all text messages between the scammer broker and me. any one like to see the texts just ask ,and will be very happy. this Mark should be some where else where he belong, i will post his texts to see his lies,never assign him read more

I just want to help set the record straight with Mark at Honest Auto Movers. He is a true professional in auto transport brokerage business. His knowledge of the industry and how to get your vehicle on a truck is outstanding. I called him at 5 AM this morning and by 8 AM my vehicle was on a trailer headed home. That may sound like no big deal, but I am moving the vehicle from Shelby Ohio to Spokane Washington, not a well traveled route! My first broker put out a ridiculously low bid and I had no idea that the truckers wouldnt even consider taking it for that price. Thats where Mark comes in. He knows how to get you vehicle moved and seems to have great relationships with the truck drivers. That is key in this business and is clearly where other brokers fall short. In conclusion, I cant recommend Mark at Honest Auto Movers enough! read more

This guy whoever that captain is, threatens people on phones and texts and I had to inform the police. I wish I could give negative STARS!! I can not recommend this company and advice everyone to stay away. The owner who calls himself "Captain Mark" is a egotistical narcissist. I hate to call names but I can only say what I experienced with this guy. He put me in contact with a trucker to move my car and then when the car arrived before me the trucker thought I didn't have the funds to pick up the car. The issue was I was dealing with an elderly mother and an autistic son while traveling from NY to FL. He expected me to go 1 hour out of my way to get my car when I have no way of getting it nor did I know the area. Excuse me but is it my job to arrange the pick up or delivery of the car?? We went back and forth from text message trying to arrange a day I could pick up the car because the driver refused to meet me halfway or to drop it off at my house. I explained if you can't deliver it you must wait for me to figure out how I will get it, me being one person and can only drive one car and will need to figure out the public transportation. Anyway the driver and This idiot Capt Mark both called me a liar and said that I didn't want my car. This guy is a joke and I wish I never would have trusted this idiot... He boasted about being a millionaire and something about florida newspaper distributors not running without him..!!! Who the f**k cares!!! I never dealt with Mark, so I can't speak to the other reviews posted here. I dealt with Samantha, and she was courteous, professional, and got the job done. I needed to ship a car from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, and originally I used another broker. I had a pickup window between December 20th and 27th. It was the 26th and there was no word from my original broker. I received a call from Samantha, and she said that she would have a truck in my area the following day--a Saturday no less--that could pick up my vehicle. I told her I was in. She emailed me the paperwork, and I filled it out and emailed it back to her. Long story short, my car was picked up less than a mile from my house at 8 AM on a Saturday, and the car was delivered right to my front door at 9 PM on Tuesday--just three days later. Where my original broker nearly screwed me, Samantha and Honest Auto Movers came through. Were I to ship a car again in the future, I would definitely go to them first. The truck drivers were from I&K Auto Transport--they gave me a personal cell phone, and I texted them throughout the three days my car was in transit. Overall, A+ service. read more

My family has used Capt Mark at Honest Auto Movers for a half dozen cross-country moves. (We live in Los Angeles and my husband periodically teaches at the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor). Every aspect of every move arranged by Capt Mark has been flawless. Don't expect your car to arrive clean. Automobiles are transported in open-air trucks. (You've likely seen trucks like these transporting new cars to dealerships.) But aside from dust or snow or whatever nature happens to blow its way, your car will arrive on time, if not early, in the condition you sent it. I was nervous before the first move, but now I feel confident in saying that Capt. Mark will get your car moved where you want it, when you want it, at the best price available. Note that all the reviews give Honest Auto Movers 5-stars except two, both of which involve disputes over money. Someone should remind Capt. Mark's critics that car transport isn't free; they do have to pay for the service. read more
