I'd say they're actually 4.5 stars, but I round up for Yelp. My husband and I have been to this Honest Coffee a couple of times, though we usually go to the one in Huntsville more because they're closer. They offer the same great coffee and menu items as their original Huntsville location. Pros - Great location. Conveniently located next to all the new apartment buildings. - Cozy atmosphere - Good pastries - Lots of great breakfast and lunch options, and breakfast is served all day. The food is great. - Great service - Good coffee - Paper menus - Great seasonal drinks and flavors - Indoor and outdoor seating - Open on Sundays - No paper cups - Lots of electrical outlets if you want to hang out and work on your phone/laptop/tablet Cons - No self-serve water. - The lack of seating at this location is just as maddening as it is at their Huntsville location. They tend to attract a lot of people who come in just to hang out and who don't support the business by actually purchasing anything. I'm perfectly fine with someone staying for a long time to hang out as long as they support the business (buy a drink, a cookie, anything!). But as with their other location, this coffee shop attracts a lot of people who just come in, order nothing, and take up seats during peak busy hours. Meanwhile, paying customers who order lots of food and drink can't find anywhere to sit. I like the fact that they offer more electrical outlets for people who want to work, but I still think seats and outlets should be reserved for paying customers. Despite my few minor gripes, my husband and I do really like this place. It's nice to stop in for brunch and coffee when we're in the Madison area. They offer the same great menu items that we're used to getting from their Huntsville location, and the quality of the food and drinks seems to be the same. read more

This sandwich was around $11 and it lacked DENSITY. Pictured is one half of the sandwich, opened out of disappointment. On each half, I got one small slice of tomato, one slice of bacon, shreds of spinach, a dollop of mayo, and, on this half, the rind of the Brie. All the ingredients are tasty on their own, but I giggled at this sandwich for its ingredient to price ratio. You would go to plus it was more expensive compared to other cafés. The drink is a latte, but it didn't look like there was any coffee in it and it didn't taste like coffee.
