Capt. Alexa with Mates Heather and Sarah led us on an amazing adventure kayaking the mangroves and snorkeling on the reef. The ladies were so professional and knowledgeable about all that we did and saw. I felt completely at ease on this trip. We saw so many fish, turtles, and birds. There was ice cold water and wonderful fresh snacks on the trip. My husband and I are in our mid-60s and had no problem with kayaking or snorkeling. I took the guided kayaking and snorkel tour - it was unlike (in a good way) any other water tour I've taken in Key West. Dan and Jackie were an outstanding crew, they kept it light, fun, and safe. The kayak tour amongst the mangroves (you actually paddle into them!) was super informative and interesting. The snorkeling portion was not at a dying reef (typical of most Key West snorkeling trips), but at the Key West National Wildlife Refuge where Jackie pointed out live sponges, lobsters, and fish. While on the boat, we were served fresh pineapple, carrots, cucumbers, and delicious hummus. Honest Eco is genuinely concerned about the environment, they are a top notch operation. Had a really fun afternoon boat tour where we saw dolphins and snorkeled. Brian and Wade were excellent guides. I had booked a tour involving kayaking in the mangroves (in addition to snorkeling) and they cancelled the kayak portion due to wind. The company communicated with me promptly and gave me the option to back out if the lack or kayak was a dealbreaker for me. They also refunded me the difference in price between the more expensive kayak trip and the more basic trip. The snorkel equipment was quality, and I really appreciated the wet suit and floatation band to make it easier. It was clear Brian and Wade really care about the environment and enjoy their jobs of showing people the Keys. read more

My family of four had a spectacular afternoon with the Honest Eco team aboard the catamaran. Our group saw a large pod of dolphins and had a blast watching them frolic in the serene waters off of Key West. Next, we had a chance to snorkel which was honestly not quite as great as I had hoped. The area had some sunk structures with lobsters, but it wasn't the most beautiful area for diving. Still, they equipped us well and we made the most of what we had. The crew was really exceptional. Christine was our host and worked hard to share information and make sure everyone was having a great time. They fed us with fresh veggies and fruit and had water in reusable containers at the ready. The highlight for me was the cruise into port at sunset. While the masses crowded onto Mallory Square we coasted through and enjoyed the spectacular view from the water. It was breathtaking! I had an amazing trip with Captain Rachel and Bryan. My father and I signed up for the Dolphin watch and guided snorkel, it was so fun! We spent the first half of the trip looking for dolphins and I'm happy to say that nature cooperated and we got to see a few pods with babies and a sea turtle. Then we went to an amazing snorkel spot where Bryan guided everyone and made sure that we all got so see some amazing wildlife up close and personal. They provided lots of water, veggies and hummus and a fruit platter. Bryan is super engaging and knowledgeable about Key West flora and fauna and Captain Rachel took great care of us on the water. The company advertisement reported an organic lunch from Date and Thyme. It was fresh cut veggies with parsley hummus and fresh fruit. The boat mate was very knowledgeable and actually got into the water and showed us all kinds of fish. The captain was pleasant and knowledgeable also. The Blue Q was an older vessel but a catamaran with stairs to exit for snorkeling not ladder which is better for seniors. Advertised dolphin viewing but just saw a couple fins. They did go to the dolphin playground which I found disappointing since I brought my niece. This is the picture I took on my phone. read more

Went on the Honest Eco sunset cruise and dolphin sighting excursion this evening. Could not have been more perfect. Captain Smalls and first mate Ryan did a great job. The trip was everything we hoped for. We were not interested in a loud "booze cruise". This fit the bill. Small boat, entertaining and informative crew. And we did not have to share it with anyone else!!! Score!!! Later learned all groups are small. -Love it!!! Ang was our tour guide for the afternoon. She was really knowledgeable about the wildlife and great with out kids. ( they even picked riding in her kayak over ours! ) Snorkeling- found lots of lobsters (my favorite), rays, huge horseshoe crab, a barracuda, small crabs, and variety of colorful really amazing sponge shapes too! Had the coolest time ever!! Both Wayne (the captain) and Bryan were amazing and answered every question we asked! We saw 8 dolphins in the first 30 minutes and then we were able to snorkel. I 100% recommend doing this adventure, it is good for just you and your significant other or fun family time! Only thing I recommend is bringing a towel for yourself and extra clothes because it is a little nippy after. They do provide blankets though! read more

AMAZING. We did the 4 hour snorkeling and dolphin watching cruise. The crew captain Brady and crew Jacqueline was lovely, and very knowledgeable. We saw dolphins as soon as we got out. 2 babies and 3 moms. The crew could explain their behavior and the dolphins were comfortable around the boat since it was so quiet. It was so nice to be on a clean, quiet, and not crowded boat. The snacks were great and the snorkeling spot and gear was top notch. Had a great morning/afternoon out on the squid with Mary and Jesse who where both very knowledgeable and accommodating. They provide water and fresh fruit and veggies which where needed I feel and delish. The water was beautiful and snorkeling was a lot of fun it was my first time,great experience. I will mention (thanks to my husbands suggestion) we both took some dremanine to combat ocean sickness which really really helped and we had some extra to offer to our other patrons on the boat I highly recommend. We took the dolphin sighting & snorkel tour. Alan & Sarah were wonderful. Very friendly & helpful. We saw lots of dolphins which was such a sweet experience. There were healthy snacks, fruits, veggies & hummus. I appreciated that Alan was wearing gloves when handling food (little things matter!). The snorkeling was great for me as a new snorkeler- shallow & calm water. I didn't see much- but I'm sure that just varies by day and isn't something staff can control.
