I came here by recommendation. Absolutely love the concept and the ambiance of this place. It seems like there is something for everyone vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, meat-eaters, etc. However, the overall experience that I had wasn't the best. I ordered what I originally wanted at the register but instead of letting me know there that what I wanted was sold out, I was informed 20 minutes later. I had to pick something else off of the menu. I was pretty disappointed but they prepared my second option within 5 minutes which was great. However, my friend that I was with waited over 40 minutes for her food and it wasn't something that should have taken that long due to the simplicity of her order. I was looking for something in Barcelona that wasn't deep fried or paella. Thank goodness for Honest Greens! My daughter and I split the humus, which was a beet humus. Beautiful and delicious. I didn't want the bread with it and chose the vegetable option, (carrots and cucumbers). I had the beef and my daughter had the Chipotle seasoned chicken. She said it was delicious, even though it was dry - it looked dry, too... my beef was excellent. Both meals were served with salad, (spinach with olive oil drizzled on top). If you order water to drink, there is a 2.50 euro charge. You can choose from sparking, room temperature or cold water on tap -OR- water Fresca, water infused with fruits and herbs. There were 4 fescas as to choose from. The ending to our meal was a cauliflower brownie with a tahini caramel. Are you kidding me? A brownie made from cauliflower? Yep! And it was amazing!! So good! This was just a lucky find. I've already been back twice (and usually don't repeat in other cities!). I love the Choose Your Own Adventure menu. I've had the steak which was good for the price and the tuna which was just plain good. The star of the steak plate was the parties with lemon garlic aoili which were soft and warm and perfect. The tuna I got with the Umami salad which was a fantastic recommendation from one of the staff, who all speak excellent English (which I wish I didn't need but so appreciate). The juices are fun, but I appreciated the bottle-free filtered water option! Including sparkling water "on tap." The second time I went, I HAD to get one of the tempting desserts, so I boxed up half of my generous plate and dug into the pumpkin coco spice cake. BOMB.COM. We were strongly advised not to eat around La Rambla because everything was overpriced and touristy. However, we arrived in the area starving and needed something and just happened upon this gem - a very lucky find!
