During our trip to Barcelona, Quinoa became our go to breakfast spot because of the freshness of their ingredients, and how warm and friendly the staff was. The staff spoke English much better than we spoke Spanish, and was very helpful in describing the menu items. One of the highlights of Quinoa is their Eskalavado bocadillo, a very simple sandwich of tomato, lettuce, grilled red peppers, olive oil and tapenade, on a multi grain roll. The tomatoes taste like they were just picked and the combination of flavors is amazing. They also make a great vegan carrot cake, as well as vegan and vegetarian quiches. Service can be a bit slow at times, since there is only one person preparing food, waiting tables and manning the register, but staff is increased on weekends and orders come out pretty quickly. Also, watch for addresses carefully when you visit Quinoa. It's so small we walked by it several times even though we had just ate there a day or two before. One of Gracia's best neighborhood cafes - don't miss it!!

My first meal at Barcelona! I ordered the veggie burger and I think there were many types but I had no idea what my options were so I went with whatever the cook suggested. And LOVED it. I was trying to get advice about locals spots but the waitress was too busy. I attempted to use my limited Spanish skills and asked another customer nearby. It went smoothly initiated but then he spoke Spanish like a runner almost at the finish line! He clearly saw me puzzled and spoke English. What a relief! He shared his advice and I wished I stayed in contact with him! Meeting locals is the best when you travel - they will tell you all the hidden gems.

This spot is fantastic. Everything on the menu sounds delicious - luckily I was with two other people, so we ordered 3 dishes (veggie burger, zucchini and olive tempenade sandwich, quinoa salad) and split them all. All were fantastic. Everything was super fresh - made to order. The juices were also made to order and so refreshing! They have free wifi and are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Perfect for vegetarians and vegans! I actually ended up going twice because it was close to the apartment I was renting. I had a miso and beet root veggie burger with a pineapple mint apple juice for lunch, and it was excellent! For dinner I had a quinoa salad that had many veggies and avocado, and my sister got a fresco sandwich with pesto, zucchini, tomato, nuts, and mozzarella that she also enjoyed with strawberry mango apple juice. I would recommend eating food to go, or going with two or less people because it has very few tables and space. Delicious food though, would recommend to anyone looking for quick, healthy, delicious food!

Cute tiny but happy place. Love the Little fan on the corner and all the Little paintings on the wall and all the smiling people. Vegan burgers, vegan and vegetarian quiches, yummy freshly pressed juices. This is what I was looking for.

Small but amazing. Very nice service. Your server literally makes the food you eat. Definitely stop i. Best for smaller groups. Carrot cake was my favorite.

Delicious vegan carrot cake! (Don't share it.)

I am from California and visit my son and daughter-in-law in Barcelona a few times a year. They introduced me to Quinoa Bar two years ago, and it's my favorite spot. I love its funky decor and their delicious vegan food. The owners are super friendly and speak English which is helpful since I don't speak Spanish. I feel comfortable going there by myself to eat since I can communicate easily with them. Yesterday I got a quinoa burger which is way better than an "In and Out" burger, plus no animals were killed to make the burger. If you go in the morning, you might be lucky enough to get one of their chocolate croissants, or there might be only one left and you will give it to your son and daughter-in-law. Darn! I love their carrot cake too!

Zucchini pasta (left) and ginger shot (right)!

I had the zucchini pasta (7 euros) and a ginger shot (2.5 euros). Both were great! Although I don't think zucchini can replace a carb, it was a decent substitute and served for an excellent post-run meal :) The ginger shot was AMAZING and inspired me to hunt the Barcelona universe for cold-presseds for the next three months. This place is also super cozy and the service is great even if your Spanish isn't A-1. Hipster-approved.

Spanish food, while tasty can get very heavy with all the ham and cheese and potatoes. This little vegetarian cafe offers light fresh options in an adorable hole in the wall space, a twenty minute walk downhill from park guell. We had delicious fresh juices, try roots, and warm pita bread with tzatziki and olives and the quinoa salad. Just what I needed for an energizing lunch. The space is tiny (just three tables and counter seating) and has a lot of character - vegan options available including dessert. Wish I ate like this every meal.

Small, but comfortable, the staff is friendly. The food is delicious, the smoothies, well the smoothie I had this morning was incredibly delicious. They don't take credit cards, so bring cash, and lots of it! Cause the desserts are delicious.

Quinoa wrap, burger and nachos. The wrap made me go back the next day

Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. The staff still welcomed us in but we tried to be polite and finish early. We order drinks. I got the sangria since I wanted to try it while in Spain. The alcohol was jussssst right, if you know what I mean. I think, altogether we order just about everything on the menu between us and the portion sizes were great for being able to share amongst the table. I ordered the Indian curry with rice. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think. Anyway, I really loved the mushroom puffed pastry and I normally have an aversion to mushrooms as well...texture thing yet again. The desserts were great too. I literally sucked the caramel flan in three bites. It was deee-licous! This place definitely is on my list of places the next time I'm in Barcelona. The decor and lighting was great for the ambiance, the staff were very nice, and the food came out fast and tasted perfect especially after a long day exploring Barcelona. Cheers!

My husband ordered the Campburg which was also very good and recommenced by the employee there. We did the meals so we got fries and a drink. The meal was cheap, delicious and a great option for folks who are visiting Sagrada Familia and don't feel like paying too much or having to settle on the chains located there (Taco Bell, KFC, etc. are all there as well).
