    Masala dosa - excellent!
    Steve S.

We decided to stop here and try it because another Yelper recommended it to us. It's an Indian vegetarian restaurant. It's excellent. It's a special place! We started with Pani puri, interesting puff balls with yogurt. Delicious. I had the Kattappa sandwich. Serving size here is large, I couldn't finish it and it was excellent! My son had the Masala dosa. Hard to describe but we both loved it! As Arnold said, 'I'll be back'!

Love love love the food!!! We were told this location follows Gujarati recipes so we ordered all North Indian food. Have not tried any South Indian food here yet. Dahi puri was SO GOOD! The crunchy puri, cold sweet yogurt, spices, sev etc were all point! Pav Bhaji was really good too. The spice level was just right. The pav was toasted in butter and the bhaji was just what I was expecting from a good pav bhaji Paneer Makhani - I thought nothing can beat the dahi puri, but the paneer makhani hit it out of the park! It tasted like wedding food in India. The gravy was so well made, paneer was soft and the rice served with it made it a good combo The best thing at the end was the paan. I wouldn't say it was the best paan I have had, but it was pretty decent for ending a fantastic meal.

We have been to both of their locations, first in Dallas and now in Cincinnati. This one is even better than the other. Went for Saturday Breakfast and it was so fresh and tasty. Kattappa sandwich was perfect in portion and taste as well! Friendly service and nice set up.

Tried so many fun things tonight! You know it's legit when you're one of the only non-Indian folks in the joint. Thanks to our friends for ordering and introducing me to some great plates from across India. The puri was delicious and the yogurt was on point-eat fast so the puri crisp doesn't get soggy! Not pictured my pista (pistachio) lassi.

Their Vada Pav tasted delish!!! This is a 100% vegetarian restaurant and they have all great food options and this is GREAT!. They have vegan options too. Their customer service is good. The place is cozy for dine in. They also do carry out. They have parking in front of them and on the side too. They are located in this shopping mall kind of area and you have more space to park on the side. They are open all day long and do not close after lunch hours. They are business casual and family friendly as well.

A chain which proudly displays its global reach, this place offers a wide variety of vegetarian Indian cuisine. I sampled a chana puri (chickpeas with fried bread) and a veg manchurian, which I asked for spicy and which were. Despite the fresh onions and a bit of pickle on the side, the chana puri here was not quite as good as the one I got at the Louisville Honest (which was incredible). Still, it is certainly quality comfort food. My manchurian was, despite being the dry version, more sauce than dumpling, but it was a zingy flavor. I would not say the service was the best, as I was waiting around without water having had some spicy and salty food. I would say that there is plenty of deliciousness to be had here.

Honest is honestly okay. Not for the ones looking for the most authentic Indian food. However, it somewhat satisfies Indian food cravings and taps into nostalgia. We went in last week to get some Chaat and pav bhaji. I ordered the samosa chaat and my friend got the plain pav bhaji. Upon first glances, it's common to think- wow, the prices aren't too bad. When the food arrived, we realized why. The quantity isn't generous. It's not too little, but smaller than you'd expect. The samosa chaat was okay. It was spicy and needed some more tang though. The pav bhaji was average too. Not authentic Bombay style, but I can't describe what's missing. The flavors aren't perfect, but it's not bad. All in all, I can't sum it better than this: the food is alright, just doesn't taste perfectly authentic. I appreciate the attempt though, atleast it serves pav bhaji.

We are always looking for a new Indian restaurant to try so we decided to check this place out after seeing the reviews. We were quickly greeted at the door. The server was very friendly and answered our many questions. The food was so flavorful and the spices were next level. So many different options than we are used to seeing around the Cincinnati area. Cannot wait to go back and try some other menu items!

Great new spot in the neighborhood! The staff was so friendly and helpful, we had a lot of questions and our server was patient and made good recommendations. Everything here is vegetarian, but there's still plenty of options and variety on the menu. We tried the samosas, a couple entrees and garlic naan and enjoyed all of it! My favorite item was the veg hyderabadi which were veggies mixed in a spinach sauce. Would return.

    Punjabi thali

It was really good! Met every expectation and I have had a lot of Indian restaurant foods in the past!

    Inside

Had a shared feast with my friends. This place is so good! The listed food is really yummy. Recommended everything. I would say that medium spicy is around a jalapeño spiciness. The gobi Manchurian is in a sauce and is not dry. Good turnaround is quick.

Best Vadapav in Cincinnati hands down. The service is gotten better over the months but still some room for improvement. The ambiance is great. A must visit for vegetarians in Cincinnati.

We've been 4 times in four weeks. Does that mean we're regulars now? We're definitely fans!…read more We've tried several different dishes now. The appetizers we've tried: 65 Paneer on a Spicy level and the Majestic Gobi on a Medium level. Entrees we've ordered: Gongura Curry Goat, Andhra Curry Chicken, Nawabi Paneer Masala, Andhra Curry Goat, Karaikudi Curry Fish. Madras Curry Goat and Butter Masala Shrimp. And the Chilli Bullet Naan. They have 4 spice levels. Mild - Medium - Spicy - Very Spicy. Pay attention to those levels and what your true spice tolerance is before you order. We eat spicy food often. We've grown exotic hot peppers, my husband will sprinkle things with dried ghost chili powder or 7 pot powder. He always orders his dishes on the spiciest levels. He decided to choose spicy and I chose medium for our first dishes ordered and have stuck with it. We have enjoyed every single dish we've ordered. Everything has tasted delicious and has been hot and fresh tasting. So far my favorite was the Nawabi Paneer Masala. I could've licked the bowl! The only dish that I was somewhat disappointed in was the Butter Masala Shrimp. I would order it again because it tasted wonderful but I would not order it with shrimp again. It came with tiny shrimp that was salad shrimp size and hardly in shrimp in the dish. Once the few, tiny shrimp were eaten in the first scoop onto my plate - I was left with rice and sauce. Still yummy, though. I'd order it with chicken, if ordering again. My husband enjoyed each dish he's ordered and said he'd order every one of them again. The Majestic Gobi appetizer was great! My husband is not a big fan of cauliflower but ordered it knowing I like it. He devoured it. I had to eat fast to make sure I could get to it before he finished it off. The appetizers we've ordered are big and filling - so we haven't ordered them each time. The chilli bullet naan is sooo good! It was spicy 3 out of the 4 times we had it. We really enjoyed it. We also really liked the desserts that we've ordered to take home on two of the occasions. The Gulab Jamun and the Kala Jamun. Yummy little sweet treats! The service has always been very good. Efficient and friendly. We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu. Likely very soon!

Very Disappointing Experience - Quality Has Gone Downhill…read more I visited Nawabi Hyderabad House Cincinnati today, and it was a huge disappointment. We used to recommend this restaurant whenever someone asked for good Indian food in the area, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The food quality has declined significantly. The dishes did not taste fresh, and honestly, they seemed like they may have been reheated from the previous day. The flavors, freshness, and overall quality were nowhere close to what this restaurant used to serve. The service was even more disappointing. Some of the staff were rude and lacked basic customer service skills. They did not know how to speak respectfully to customers or handle requests professionally. Their attitude made the dining experience even worse. Overall, it was a disaster from both a food quality and service perspective. We left feeling very disappointed and concerned about the quality of the food being served. We will not be returning, and unfortunately, we can no longer recommend this restaurant to anyone. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves both the food quality and customer service.

Although I like the Buddha bowl, thought I'd try the Northstar burger and chicken avocado sandwich. Today was a particularly warm day for March so they had the windows open which created a nice breeze. The line took a bit of time to get to the front but the staff was extremely nice and was able to make substitutions. There a lot of seating so whether you are a party of 1 or 8 there's plenty of areas to eat. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive with the kitchen backed up. There's a self serve water station so we relaxed and took in the ambiance. There's food emphasizes fresh ingredients and the burger and chicken sandwich did not disappoint. The burger is vegetarian friendly and comes with a good portion of kale slaw. The chicken sandwich was stacked tall and super filling. Would recommend to try!
