This place is far from the "best" Indian restaurant. The first time I tried to eat here they were randomly closed on a Saturday in the middle of lunch service. The 2nd time I tried them, they refused to substitute some garlic naan for the rice. They drench their rice in soybean oil which isn't healthy, so I simply asked for the naan instead of the rice for an upcharge. The rice is priced at $3.99 and the naan was priced at $6.50. it could have been a simple substitution but after talking with a bunch of employees they refused to accommodate me. I got this food to go and I thought it was ok. I didn't feel like the flavors really stuck out like what I'm used to. The dish that stuck out the most to me was the vegetables samosas. Everything else was meh. I can't tell you what the service was like since I didn't dine in but walking inside the restaurant felt like it was cozy and comfortable. Would I come back? They've only been open about seven months, but everything from the food to the service already feels dialed in. I tried take-out here for the first time, and was impressed with the menu: they have items on here I haven't seen in other restaurants, like the paneer paratha, goat biryani, and a great assortment of vegetarian options. I was a little surprised at what wasn't on the menu -- no shrimp, beef, or pork for example. The inside is well-decorated -- it's small, clean, and cozy. And the waitresses were very helpful and efficient. I tried the chicken saag and the lamb curry, and they were both flavorful and authentic. I got a level 2, and that seemed about right for the lamb paneer, but the chicken saag was on the borderline of being too hot for me. The paneer paratha was delicious -- you can tell it was hand-made, and it was soft & just chewy enough, and the cheese melted in between the layers gave it a salty deliciousness. I wasn't impressed with the fish pakora, however -- there wasn't much flavor to the breading. All together though, an authentic restaurant delivering satisfying authentic food. We were planning on eating here this evening for dinner to try it out but I decided to check the Hamilton County Board of Health restaurant inspection reports first. We were fans of Tandoor and then it sold when the owners retired. It very quickly went downhill with the new ownership. Then it was shut down due to filth and a bad roach and rodent infestation. I just had to check the health report first. I'm glad I did! It's been open less than 2 months and it's already under threat of "immediate closure and possible further administrative action", per the inspection report. Since I'd rather not get sick from improper storage temperatures and that they didn't even have a hand washing sink in the kitchen until failing an inspection - we'll be skipping this place tonight. I only put this here because rice (mentioned in the inspection report) is especially dangerous when not kept at proper temperature and stored correctly. read more

The menu items are fairly typical of Indian restaurants and the same as those of their sister restaurants; Wok India in Mason and Indian Fusion in West Chester. This rating is based on several visits over the past two months - and almost weekly visits over the last two years at all three places combined. The food has always been very good. The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and determined that you enjoy your experience. The restaurant has been cleaned up and modernized significantly since its previous operation under a different owner and restaurant name. There is no buffet but the food is some of the best Indian food I've had. The prices are quite reasonable and the service is wonderful- everyone is so polite! I'd read about this restaurant opening up in the old Tandoori spot. Upon entering we were graciously welcomed and seated immediately in a comfortable booth. There are also plenty of tables all of which are attractively setup for diners. It's obvious that there has been a complete remodel. Spacing between tables is adequate. As we were handed luncheon menus our server offered assistance and suggestions if needed. Most of the luncheon entrees are in the $9.99-$11.99 range. The hubs ordered lamb and I ordered chicken with shredded paneer. Both were excellent and we loved the perfectly prepared rice. The lunch portions were perfect and we were satisfyingly full. However we gratefully accepted the complimentary rice pudding. It was creamy and cold and the best ending to our slightly spicy lunch. We highly recommend. read more

The food here is really good! First time having Indian food and it did not disappoint. Loved every dish from the apps to the main dish plus the cold India beer! The staff was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu very personable conversation with Sam either the owner or manager.The waitress we had was terrific. If the owner or manager is reading this the only thing I would change would be the pictures of food on the outside of the building in my opinion it takes away from the nice white building and doorway. The decor inside is also very nice super clean and they have an outside area to eat and an inside bar when you first walk in that looks like a great spot to have a drink and get some great food! Hosted a dinner party where we ordered several dishes: lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, chicken makhani, aloo ghobi, vegetable korma, saag paneer, chicken tikka,garlic naan and they included kheer. everything was amazing and everyone loved each dish easily best indian food in montgomery area. This colorful, cozy restaurant was a delightful surprise to find in Montgomery. We had lamb curry which was tender and flavorful, savory garlic naan, mango chicken which was sweet and shahi paneer which was creamy and delicious. I would say the sauces are a little thinner than I've seen else where but plenty of flavor and a considerate range of spice available to suit different preferences. They've got a wider selection of imported Indian beers (try Flying Horse or Kingfisher !) than I've seen in most eateries but even if beer isn't your preference I was happy to see a broad selection of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage options. I've never been in a restaurant so immaculately clean. This place is a gem and I would so recommend adding it as a shopping trip stop or dinner before the comedy club like we did! read more

Portions were great and food was delicious! Family run place (two sisters and brother, I think), they came around at just the right pace to check on us. It was our daughter's birthday and they gave her a complimentary coconut soup AND a rice pudding to go! Oh, the spice level was perfect--my daughter and I got level 3 and our son got level 0 (he's NOT a spicy food fan, obviously). We all three got Chicken Mahkani and a big order of Nan bread. Prices were very reasonable, food was delicious, service was outstanding and the place was clean, well decorated, airy, and classy all at that same time. My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant after attending a session at the nearby comedy club on a Wednesday evening. We both love Indian food and have a lot of experiences in different Indian restaurants locally and abroad, and we were very impressed by this place! First of all, the service was excellent and very attentive. They were more than accommodating to us even though we arrived near their closing time, and they made sure to check and double check that my wife, who has a tomato allergy, was able to have a great tomato-free meal (which isn't always easy in an Indian restaurant). The food was excellent, and the decor and ambience was perfect. We chose to eat outside by ourselves, and it turned out to be a really great romantic meal that we inadvertently walked into. I could not have asked for anything better, especially for the price! We had two appetizers, two main entrees, and order of nan, and dessert, all for about fifty bucks, and the portions were reasonably large- we both have two or three other meals still in left overs!
